History said that the last Ming Dynasty, the emperor commit suicide (hang himself) on Mui Mountain. All the family members of the Emperor including the Princess (Princess Cheung Ping) dies in chaos.
In the story of classic Chinese opera, everyone now dies except Princess Cheung Ping and her husband. The Qing Dynasty keeps her as a symbolic gesture as saying "Look even your princess now lives under our rule. And most importantly, she is willing to live under our rules and is cooperating with us. So you citizens should behave yourself." The use of Princess Cheung Ping is also to allay any unopperative senators within the majestic courts. Because as we all know most senators respect the words from people of the imperial palace.
Anyway, to calm down everyone to the extend, Qing dynasty decides to arrange a wedding ceremony for Princess Cheung Ping to make things more happier in the chinese country. Hopefully to make Han people calmer about the invasion. Princess Cheung Ping plans to die on that night (but others don't know that) since most of her burdens are already gone (she didn't kill herself before because she has to make sure all her family members are buried properly and she wants to make sure the transition from Han people to Manchu people is peaceful. Making sure that no more senators are harm or starting an unnecessary war without her presence). Anyway, this classic Chinese opera in beginning starts right on Princess Cheung Ping's wedding night. Where she and husband talk about killing themselves on and on and on for 2-3 hours. Until at the final moment when they kill themselves.

I enjoyed it, it was good, but I didn't like the ending... I wish they died it would have been better in a way... Not much of the movie was with the history

PITNOL was a a cool series with Charmaine in it!!! Go Charmaine!!

i enjoyed the story of this serie but i think theres 2 much blabla or sumthin
and sonija kwok really done a nice job

in this series, sonija was very evil.. she tried to kill her mother and sister, charmaine... but it was good....

I hated this series, mainly because of the stupid plot, CHARMAINE SHEH! and Sonija Kwok.

I never find any good quality pics of this series... Sonija Kwok character is soo eval! Do anything to succeed or get who she wanted.. so selfish

This series is sooo good. I'm planning to rewatching it again

i didi not like this series at all. and this was the series that made me satrted to hate charm.

i think charm really needed to get a new hairstyle or at least get rid of the bangs. they made her look really really ugly. sonija totally looked better than her in this series. and charmaine's face is so stiff in this series

sonija was suppose to look nice and pretty bcoz her character it poshie unlike charmaine's character she not a gurl who loves beauty, she's kind and caring... i don't think you pay attention to the roles

i liked this drama .. it was very sad but it is a good drama

Yup, I like Michael in this serie too. It was so sad for him at the ending =(

yup, sonija is soooo evillll in this serie.

i want to watch this but i dont know where to get it. i dont have membership at the TVB store =( no one i know have it

This serie was really sad, most people died, Sonija was really evil in this serie by trying to kill other people

sonija was very evil...and the whole story was pretty much a sad story..i didn't bother to watch the whole series,i just watched the last episode.

Sonjia portrayed her role well though, it kind of reminded me of her role in the ancient series with Ada

I love this series, one of my favorites. I just finished rewatching it recently. This has got to be one of the few series where I can say everyone portrayed their role effectively, and everyone did a great job at acting, especially Moses.

I like this serie very much. In fact, it's very touching. Hate Sonjia in tht serie. She is really a devil causing her own mother to die in order to protect herself!!

This series was so good. It was the first time I actually cried watching anything!! Charmaine and Steven were really good in it, they had really good chemistry. I hope they do other series together.

it was sad, some parts made me cry, charmaine can really portray her innocent roles well, and sonija with her evil roles made me wanna stab her a couple of times

but in the end, they ended up together

A damn good love story! Must watch!

I don't think it's a good serie, the story is soo weak. I think it's one of Charmaine's weakest acting serie.

Serious you really think so? I think it was ok with charmaine but i hate Sinoja Kwok so bad.

Sonija Kwok's character in this series was so wicked that no other words could describe. I think Sonija deserve something a thousand times worst than the punishment she had. How could she betray her family member that did nothing wrong. She was totally inhumand.

It's such a great great love story. Chow Sai Hin and Cheung Ping are meant to be.

I like the character Michael Tong plays (Cho Sing Hing) he's sucha a nice friend like no other. How can someone they ask for more.

Maggie Siu is great too. She's got such a great and kind heart.

I hate the Emperor's mother and his concubines. Especially Chan Fay and Tin Fay being the worst and cruelest.

But this series is best. It has it's up and down but it's worth watching.

I hate Sonija so much in this series that I wouldn't watch her other series anymore. What a devil she is. So wicked and inhuman. I stop supporting her since. Muahaha or else she would just remain "ok"

I love this series.. but I think they should've made Charmaine's character more intelligent and strong..
Best acting in this series would have to go to Moses.. he was sooo good as the king.

its not fair how Sonija's character got so much pretty clothes than Charmaine... but then Charmaine character wasn't the Poshie type. I never want to watch a series with Sonija in it. I almost killed myself watching "The Legend of Love" after this series. Hate her guts.

All I know that is at the fall of the Ming Dynasty Princess Cheung Ping was suppose to get her arm cut down by the king, and she later became a nun.

And they were suppose to die under the tree, but TVB's take on the legend, they were alive and only faked their death.

how were they do die under a tree if princess cheung ping was supposed to have her arm cut off and become a nun?
