Charlie (Charmaine Sheh) is a young, carefree young woman who loves kids, especially babies. She signs up for nursing school and hopes that when she graduates, she will have the chance to work in the maternity department in the hospital. What she's in for is new friends, a new relationship with a guy, a period of ups and downs and most important of them all--birth and death.

I sort of gave up on it though, it seems a bit cheezy.

charmaine is annoying in this series but i got used to it. haha

I think this is the only series where Lily Hong got a main character part, before that she always got some minor rolls as someone's mistress or something but soon after that she got married, pregnant and now is offscreen again.

I find this series very mundane, and not well acted. I dont' like sammual! (Don't burn me) in this serial. He acts so immature (meh, my opinion). Why does Charmaine look so different from this serial and that of Angels of Mission...

I agree, this series is very average. However, in some way it's interesting enough to watch because it shows the details of one profession (always interesting)

The acting was very average too. I rather watch this than any other stomachturningly bad series though. Not saying any names.

Oh. I didn't like Sammul chan's character AND acting too.

i rewatching this series on my pc now.
i actually think it's kinda cute because of how simple the characters are.

my favorite characters are still the veterans though - kingdom yuen , lui san, hui siu hung, and law goon lan. they play their roles so well...so human.

as for the rest of the cast, in my opinon, i think were just average or ok. they were still new and have a long way to go before being great like the veterans.

its true! sammul couldnt act but i think his acting is better now. but hes a cutie! =]

aw i thought Sammul was really cute =) hehe and I like Kingdom's character & Charmaine's too as well ^^

i thought sammul was really cute in here too! especially how he was so swt to charmaine. and charmaine was sooo kute in dis series! i love her character. she was so happie and kute! and i also really liked kingdom's character as well. she was so nice, understanding and had a strong personality.

yah kingdom was awesome.. she was pretty funny too! =) but it was so sad about her and her husband.. awww!

This series was okay...anyways..What happened in the last episode?I never got a chance to watch it?

kk bad memory here, but this is what happened:

sammul & charmaine made up.. not sure if this was in the last episode though.. because charmaine got mad at how sammul was lying to her about lily's sickness and stuff. but they didnt stay mad at each other for long.. and charmaine forgave him. =) and then charmaine got stabbed in the hand by a needle (it was an accident) and she was scared that she might contact AIDS... but she had to wait 3 months for results. it turned out that she didnt get it, of course. and her dad's alright too and he finally went on that vacation to hawaii with her mom =) hehe. and lily's fine too. chan ka lok ("chung toi ju") is going out with bo bo (her name's chan hoi yee in real life) and dai loh fai (gregory lee) has a girlfriend too. so does claire yiu (ah lang) but hes a veterinarian. and they all graduated.. hehe ^____^ and it turned out that Charmaine got the highest mark out of the whole class, it was like a little higher than Lily's. hehe and thats all!!

how come? i thought it was a really cute ending!! at least sammul & charmaine ended up together.. and nobody ended up dying.. so i thought that was good. it was really cute at the end how Lui San gave a big speech & everything... and everyone was so happy too =)

yah i gotta agree its a good ending
but the father of the "kookoo" died

oh yah i forgot about that lol

yah, i loved the way charmaine acted.,, but i though sammul was a little wierd.

this series was ok charm was not bad here but i thought lily did a good job as portraying her character, it was also weird how she started 2 cling onto sammuel near the end, because it seemed like she liked him

I love how Charmaine acted in this series. Very klutzy and funny. At first I didn't like her as much, probably because she was one of the bad guys in Dragon Sabre and Heavenly Sword 2000. She was evil! But I actually kinda like her after I watched this series

i luv this serie! everyone in here was just great! and the casts fits their roles. sammuel and charmaine were just so cute in here!

Such a nice theme tune sung by Miriam Yeung. It's good in that it's not focusing on the usual; doctors. Little people realise how much MORE work nurses actually have to do. And to see the training nurses being so immature and unable to handle situations, to the ending where they have finally bloomed and become the Florence Knightingale they set out to be in the 1st place was very emotional for me, especially watching the graduating ceremony. At different stages in life, different people pull you through to make you a better person as a whole, learning to cope and survive.

this film is excellent but the love story in it is not that good but its still worth watchin! the theme tune is excellent aswel its lyrics suits the film!

I think this series contain lots of true stories in our lives. I don't think that the stories in White Flame is fiction, the story is not making up, but I think the story come from the reality.

...i kinda dosed off at da last eps...can sum1 tell me how charmaine got aids?

this isnt such a bad show... it explains how although nurses get a lower salary and they dont look they they're important, they are... they are needed to help the doctor and do all these things.. the name lang.. was really funny...

i liked this series, it gave me a whole new perspective on nurses. i though Sammul looks good in this series

I liked this series. It was funnie. charmaine and samual were good in this show. BUt i don't think they are a good couple. I always like ne shows that involves with doctors and lawyers and cops. those shows are always the best. THe ending is okay. It is like ne other ending, nothing really special. I would recommand ppl to watch it.

she got aids because she got stabbed accidently by a needle with like aids stuff in it...somehting like that...well i dont really remember i saw this a while ago...so i cant really remember..i just know it had something to do with a needle that got poked into her accidently

I never watched this series before. I saw a commercial for it a few times a long time ago but that was it. I would love to watch it one day though. It's very interesting since it's about nurses and doctors and etc ^^ I know everyone doesn't reallt think this is the best series in the world but I'll give it a try when I have a chance =]

I watched it when Sammuel was an unknown (to me at least).
So to me he did well. No high/ prior expectation.
Charmaine looks very young and cute.

Good pairing, don't mind seeing them paired again in future series.

I don't know how many times I've watched this series over and over. I thought that it was a good show and different from the rest. The characters were well played I thought and gives new light into the nursing professsion. Having worked in a hospital myself, most of the storyline is very true in real-life. I loved the interactions between Kingdom and Charmaine; they are so funny!

This series was not that bad - and both Lily Hong adn Charmaine did a good job of it. Actually I think this is one of the best that Charmaine did-her childishness is so cute. But i think that they should have set it in teh maternity ward more. It was so sad when Lily got sick.. Even the minor roles - the two old nurses di a good job!

this was okie... but.... not the best...it was one of those fill in the blank durr series... sighz it could have been better...

I just finished watching this series. Really like Charmaine and Sammul. They are so cute. And I like Kingdom and Charmaine's father (in the series) too. I think Charmaine looks pretty in nurse outfit.
