Charmaine Sheh, Nnadia Chan, Sunny Chan, Joe Ma and Annie Man were among the cast members at the costume fitting for new series "One Beautiful Spear". Charmaine has just returned from America on Saturday evening after doing some stage appearances and visiting her family. She indicates that her contract with TVB will be ending in July and was asked whether she will be trying her luck elsewhere. She says: "I would like to try, but I will be dependent on myself out there and I am worried I will not be able to look after myself. (So will you be renewing your contract?) To be honest, I have come from TVB and we have had a good relationship in the last seven years so the chances are high, I just hope that the company will raise my salary a little when the time comes." When asked what else she will ask of the company, Charmaine added that she would also like to make more modern series so that she can have an even spread of ancient and modern shows.

In the series, Charmaine will be paired up with Joe Ma and they have a lot of fighting scenes. Charmaine laughs: "I have categorised the fight scenes into four stages: Joe is stage one and I am stage four. However I still have a lot of wire scenes and it will be hard work."

Also, Nnadia Chan who has not filmed drama for two years now says that she will have a breakthrough performance because she will be playing an 'undercover prostitute' who is both good and bad and will fall in love with her stepfather, played by Shek Sau as well as having love scenes with Joe Ma. When asked how she has been researching such a complicated role, she laughs: "The director gave me a copy of seventies film 'Slave to Love' and asked me to learn from it. When I saw the actresses in the show all appearing in their underwear, I felt that they were very bold. (So does this mean a rather raunchy appearance from you in this show?) I have already filmed bathing and bed scenes in the past, so I can accept this."

There is another item of happy news as Sunny Chan revealed that he has finally tied the knot with fiance Ada To on 25th February. When he mentioned this big occasion, Sunny seemed very calm as he said: "Living life nice and simply is a good thing, we had our marriage registration on the 25th in Hong Kong. Originally we had thought about having it abroad, but because the restaurant has been too busy, I couldn't get away."

Always loving the simple life, Sunny's simplistic ways also spread to his wedding ceremony as they wore casual clothes to the event and they also asked whether they had to exchange rings: "We didn't have any wedding rings because we feel it is the vows that are most important. We didn't cry, but it was very emotional." They did not have a banquet, opting for a family dinner instead and they are yet to go on a honeymoon. Sunny says: "Maybe later we will go to Huangshan for a trip. (Have you had wedding photos taken?) To me, we have had too many wedding photos taken so there is no need for any more. These traditions are set by other people, we can still have memories from other photos. I am not very comfortable being in a frame. (Have you asked your wife about it?) If she wants them, she will say so." As for having children, Sunny will leave this down to destiny as he does not want to put too much pressure on his wife.

i was expecting this one to be an 'anniversary series'
but...i guess the two chosen were huge pruductions, filmed in different countries.
i'm supposing this one will release eraly 2005.
can't wait to see annie again

I like all the three gals. Annie, Nadia & Charmaine. Hope we are going to see this one soon.
Getting bored with the current series.
I am re-watching Colourful Life & 4 Legendary Aces, and they remind me that I miss Annie and Nadia a lot.
The title " Beautiful Spear", what is this show about? Hope someone can tell us more (in English pls, thanks... can't read Chinese)

Chinese people don't exactly come up with the best titles. Just be thankful that it's not titled "The Inviciblest Woman Princess-Warrior" or something.

I think this drama is done early this year, most likely will be out in the first quarter of 2005.

The name has been changed to from One Beautiful Spear to STRIKE AT HEART.

Nnadia Chan as a prostitute, who will have a relationship with her stepfather and have another affair with Joe Ma. That's very tragic! I bet this is going to end very unhappy.

well i have only watched the intro but i have a feeling this series will be quite interesting. the special effects look really cool but might be overdone if used to frequently. hopefully mr. ma will be entertaining to watch and bring his character to light because the supporting cast is really talented..

by the way anyone know who sings the intro song? I know their last name begin with either Chan and Wang, but what are their full names.

hmmm... i dont know what this serie is going to be about.. i havent really seen a real commercial for it, but i saw a small part of their fighting scenes, haha, i think it's kind of cool, but it's so obvious that it's a lil over exaggerated...?? i dont know. but i wanna see it and check it out =]

even though u guys mite say to watch on i saw the first episode and though it was boring, i like joe ma and everything but this series did not appeal to me

At the beginning of this series...I found it kind of boring and was about to give up on watching it. Since there was Joe, Charmaine and Annie in this series...I decided to give it another try...and plus, TVB doesn't have much new series coming out anytime soon. In a way this series is kind of hard to understand... or probably it's just me.... '

I really am enjoying the series so far. Joe ma as lead...ehh...just needs getting used to for me. I really like Sunny and Annie though, very cute together and great chemistry.

So far, Nnadia hasn't really been showing up that much, but can't wait until she gets more scenes and until, HOPEFULLY, Joe falls for her. Her character seems so complex which is so refreashing to see.

Charm is alright. She's that cute innocent girly character that she's done before, nothing too exciting. Can't wait for more!

anyone know how many episodes is there for this series? It seems kind of slow to me. Joe is a little too tall for Charmaine; rather have her pair up with Sunny or Steven. By the way, is the song available on mp3?

i actually watch it and think it is pretty boring in the beginning, but i think it will be more interesting during the series.

i watched the first three episOdes .... but it wasn't very interesting .... hOpe it gets interesting as the series prOgresses .... and i wOnder whO the "real" daughter is? because it's nOt charmaine ...sO its either annie or Nnadia .....

i've watched the series till eps 11(halfway). but i just wanted to say that i feel sympathy on Chu Kot.Actually, he is not at fault at all...he love Siu Keng al lot but he HAVE to hurt her because he is tooooo care bout Thirteen.And i am sad for Siu Keng as well.But she shouldn't be so 'yun seng' by marrying Thirteen.Argh.....so hot watching it...but it's nice to watch...haha..

and ya..i agree, Nnadia looks a bit aged here..maybe she is too tired lately.

I'm starting to get hooked on this show...I wish it were kind of longer though. Martial arts series should be, in my opinion, more than 20 episodes.

Anyways, so far, my favorite character is ummm...Annie's Jik Nui but she's getting a bit annoying. I like Sunny's TYGS a lot too! I loove it when they're onscreen together. Charmaine will change to a manipulative evil character and I'm sooo looking forward to that. What I really want to see though is how Nnadia will change. I'm hoping Joe will develop feelings for her and she realizes she's in love with him.

I hope that Joe would fall in love with Nnadia too. But I'm not used to see Nnadia playing an evil role.

i don't like Thirteen's character. He is soooo annoying! How can he treat all his brother and his wife like that? Arghh....Pity Charmaine n Joe...and Nnadia too.
