Coming soon "Aquamarine" featuring 14 year old R&B star along with Emma Roberts! This is JoJo's first movie.JoJo is curretly in Austustila[spelling wrong] to flim this movie.

That's also why she was so particular about choosing her first film. Most of the scripts her agent sent to her, she said, were "real cheesy," until she read the one for "Aquamarine." She immediately liked the script, based on Alice Hoffman's novel, that the director (Elizabeth Allen) would be female, and that her co-star would be Emma Roberts (Julia Roberts' niece). JoJo started talking to Emma about the characters they would be playing — two best friends who find a mermaid and must find a way to get her back to the sea — and they became fast friends themselves (see "JoJo Says She's 'Not That Kind Of Girl,' Wants Dr. Dre For Next Album"). JoJo's character, Hailey, is the tougher of the two.

This movie was average, I didn't really like jojo in this movie...never really liked her. The movie is totally aimed at younger girls so don't expect too much.

the movie was better than I expected I gotta say, but I agree with Luv Ray Ron as its target audience is young girls. I like Jojo, but she looked rather unappealing in the movie. Never liked Emma Roberts and the other girl... I found her the prettiest of the three in the film, only because none of them were great (looks or acting). So she wins by the fault.

I agree with beepbweepcreep, this movie turns out better then I expected. To be honest, the trailer failed to attract me and I was not too fond of movies nowadays that garnered towards a teenage audience. A majority of those movies usually turns out a bit too cheesy for me, sorry to say. Or maybe I just haven't adapted to what they called "funny" these days...hahaha. That just to show, I may be too old after all. But for Aquamarine, in this case, it wasn't so bad. It was actually quite enjoyable and the performances by these young female artists was passable. I've grew fond of them them especially Sara Paxton. I like it that she can portray her goofiness in her characters. Looking forward to her next new work.

On the mention of new children's movies, I really liked Bridge to Theribithia... a lot. Hahah, sorry for bringing this movie up, I should head over to the correct forum for this. ;)

the movie was ok and i like the part where Aquamarine turn the shirt into a dress. the ending wasn't bad at all. Aquamarine and Raymond got together, any other ending better than that??
