haha i don't remember who plays who.. i know who Pui Geen is, and i know who Gum Sing is (Michael Tong right?) but who's Pui Kay? and who's Yi Mun? too long + bad memory = so many questions.. '

ROTC was great! i just hated the ending thats all. Chilam did such a great job in here =)

and to answer ur question, it has 20 episodes in total =D

yes, i loved ROTC too it was probably the first time i saw Julian act...love him. excellent actor and singer, hehe.

except that series made me cry a lot...and i wasn't too fond of Charmaine in there.

Yi Mun was that girl who was mean to her mom and did anything for money. she loved Gum Sing, but he didn't love her back...i think. lol, i haven't seen it in a while either. there are some parts i remember really good; other parts are kinda fuzzy.

not sure who Pui Kay is, but just a guess...is he Pui Geen's brother who's a huge jerk?

I like this serie very much! But I was disappointed that Chilam didn't end up with Charmaine!!!

My favourite couple is Anthony Tang (Pui Geen) & Irene Lam (Hoi Lum)
i don't like Sherming Yu's character,Yi Mun. It's sad that, hoi lum has a bad ending. I used to hope that she and chilam end up together.

this was a really good series, and everyone acted really well in it

as for the ending, i didn't like it, but i think it was still a good ending

i've always hoped that they'd make a sequel to it, but it doesn't look like it's gonna happen.

yea, exactly.. it doesn't seem like there'll be a sequel. but if there was one, i'd be so happy =D i'd hope for Chilam & Charmaine to end up together this time.

This series is so sad, Julian is so "cham" his mom leaves him and in the end he doesn't end up Charmaine. I can tell they really love each other, don't really remember the ending though but I am rewatching the series as it is rerunning on TV.i hate steven ma's character for being in this series and making it so that charmaine and julian can't be together but at least they are together at last in Point of No Return

HAhaha No Chilam didnt end up with Charmaine, the whislte thing was there own langauge thing...Chilam knew that he could never bring happiness and wwealth to charmaine, not liek Steven, so he got to together with Charmaine best friend, (the one that got pregnant, and whose husband died) and they pretend to be boyfriends and girlfriends, when Charmaine saw this she was very sad, and left with Steven. They married and came back to her hm twn abt 5 yrs later...her best friend, child now was now also older, and charmaine thought it was her best ffriend and Julian's child, but then Her best friend told charmaine the truth, Charmaine was really sad and she regretted for thinkin that her best friend and julian had betrayed her, but relally they were only thinking of the best for her! THen she meets Julian in the park and that the end of the story...KINDA STuppid ending to me! there cant be a sequeal...becaus elike charmaine already have 2 kids and like she loves steven now...i thinks....SO gay!

since sum hk ppl r so conservative...i dont dink tvb will make a sequel to dis series because charmaine alredy has kids... n is married...but i dont dink dere is neding wrong wit havin kids n still remarryin...

but if they did make a sequel to this and Charmaine would just ditch her family and go get together with Julian than it would change the image that is portrated in Charmaine's character.

she dosnt hav to leave her family...she can jus get a divorce n keep da kids...

May be her husband died in an accident, she is a widow.
Then she met chilam, and he took good care of her. Initially, she did not think of going back to him, but when Chilam did something really touching for her, and her kids really like him, then she consider going back to him.

THAT a really goood idea!! Hehehe...N maybe like then Charmaine really loved Steven..n always compare Steven against Julian! Then Julian get fustrated and leaves...Then Charmaine reliease that she has to let go of the past..and go to the future which is CHILAM!!!

Yep. A sequel where Chilam and Charmaine end up together!

I think the ending was sad. Chi Lam should have gotten back together with Charmaine. Eventhough, I love Steven Ma's character and Charmaine and him are happily married. Chi Lam shared more wonderful piggy back moments with Charmaine. But, then again how did a character like Charmaine get almost every guy falling in love with her?

This was a good series, I was different I should say, Chi Lam was brill, and still looking good. I'm glad TVB are changing their ways of communicating with the audience because it does get broing when its constantly the same plot, same people, same settings etc etc....
As for Charmiane, the hair didnt really suit her and I don't really like her anyways [don't ask why, because i dno, she jus annoys me].
The OST was good and this series gave a lot of space for the actors to perform well. Charmaine did well portraying the young youth and Chi Lam did well being the protective bro that although could not speak, had very deep inner thoughts.

Yes, agree in EVERY way, 'cept I didn't love the series I'm not much of a drama type, so the series did affect me the way they made my mom and sisters bawl. I just thought it over dramatic and really disliked the ending >.<

this is one good series and i like charmine and steven together and they have twins together in this series.

I loved the opening song sung by Chi Lam when I watched this series, it was really touching and sad. I still feel sad about the ending whenever I hear the song now although I didn't mind Charmaine ending up with Steven.

i think i like the 1st half of the series more than the last half.... mostly because of the sad ending.... and of cos the theme song is one of the best!


oh yeah... why is this thread in the "ancient time HK series"??? isn't this a modern series??

this series is great! the beginning is so funny, the ending is so touching! overall it's a good one!

The series was good and it got touch towards the ending.

this was a good movie although chi lam didn't end up with anyone..not even hoy lum....and charmaine came back at the end just leaving her daughter to search for chilam...what does that mean...she cares more for chi lam and wants to get with him???? or am i just thinking too much??? well...ending sucks to me...storyline was good...chi lam acts as a good mute person..

actually the movies is good, just a little bit dissapointed with the ending, but average : must watch

OMG, I cried my eyes out when watching this, particularly the scenes where Julian wrote a letter to his mother, and also when Nancy tried to ditch him in China. I actually quite liked the ending, as I think Charmaine and Julian getting together would have been a bit far-fetched.

i like that movie eventhough i missed the first 5 episodes lol..
i dont know if you people saw this..at the end when the girl returned from canada i think..in the taxi the babies were like not even 1year old lol after like they can walk and talk lolol
anyways didnt very like the ending why did the girl has to go with the other guy why didnt she stayed with him..(sorry forgot the characters name lol)

im watching this my 3rd time. looved it.. but it's so sad! i almost cried.

i like watch chilam but this serie is veryyyyyyyyyy boring. specially the line from his dad and girlfriend was sooooooo boring

i love this serie. I think charmain's acting in this serie is better than all the other series of her! i really love her in this serie!

ROTC was good, great acting turned a simple story line into a great series, ending sucked though
