Hooray for best variety show and presenter, too! Everyone looked so gorgeous. I haven't seen all of the pics yet, but Qiao En looked gorgeous, and Rainie's dresses were amazing (loved the white dress especially). Loved Ariel's dress she received the award in, too. Joe and Ethan were dreamy escorts - sooo shuai! <3

I really hoped that Qiao En will win... Unfortunately she didn't... Hope next year she'll win an award!

Ariel Lin won for They Kiss Again? God! What is their criteria? I swear this drama is currently showing here in our country and her performance is so mediocre! How can that kind of performance passed the jurors.

Comparing the line up this year, I think their basis is now lower compared when Ella and Angela battled with some veteran actresses. And Ella is just a vote short in winning.

This might be an added plus point in her credentials but winning without a fierce battle is nothing to be proud of.

I personally really liked her acting in TKA (esp. in her crying scenes) but to each their own opinions. I honestly thought that Qiao En or the veteran actress was going to win for sure, but Ariel did! Qiao En and Rainie were really sweet to congratulate her when her name was announced.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that either Joe or Ariel was going to win...although I had hoped it would be Joe, as I find her to be slightly the better actress...but, still congratulations to Ariel...on the bright side, at least it wasn't Rainie or any of the other mediocre nominees...glad to see the award going to one of the more talented actresses.

Congrats to Jacky! He's been waiting so long for an award, I think he's been hosting Guessx3 for over 11 yrs and never once did he win an award for his hosting talents, and he was rarely nominated for one either, which I found quite disappointing, so it's great to finally see him being awarded for his hard work these past many yrs.

And yes, we all have different opinions...just like how the judges have their own opinions & perspectives, that's why awards don't prove one's talents, as the decisions are all based on opinions. So Ariel winning the award doesn't necessarily prove her better than everyone else, but rather, she's the one getting awarded for her work with a trophy...but I definitely think she and Joe are the more deserving ones, so I'm happy that one of them won (though I still would've preferred Joe to win).

And this is just my opinion, but yes although FTLY broke crazy viewership records, the drama builds on placing suspense at the end of the episode, and to me the acting was good but not fantastic, Ariel played a much more convincing role imo but joe chen was good too, maybe they should collab some time

I really think Taiwan has a completely different set of acting standards - it's must be based on the ability to exaggerate rather than naturalism. Ariel's not bad, but just 'exaggerated' - no one, absolutely nobody, behaves like her character in They Kiss Again. Guess that must be why I prefer TVB dramas...

Each one his/her own, I guess. I happen to think Ella, Ariel, and Joe Chen are really good actresses and kudos to Ella for being recognized for her thespian capabilities even after starring in a total of four dramas, not to mention that acting isn't even part of her role when she initially entered the showbiz (she's a singer, first and foremost), she's still relatively well-known as an actress. All in all, I'd say that I'm glad Ariel won the award and I definitely hope that one day, Ella, Ariel, and Joe Chen can collaborate in a project .

Although I agree to some extent about TW dramas often exaggerate, but I must say TVB isn't all about natural either. They seem to be in this crystalized box paved with only glamour and such - and maybe I shouldn't be hard on them since people love to see beautiful things/ perfect images more so they're just trying to satisfy viewers.

Still, must it wasn't much excitement with the girls' side for best main performer, more interesting to see who won on the guys' side though.
