Edison Chen, the only male celebrity to be implicated by the scandal, will return to Hong Kong to face the media this week, his management confirmed today. Ms Leung, of East Asia Music, said that Edison will arrive back in Hong Kong on Thursday or Friday. She denied that he had left the country to avoid the fallout from the scandal. Edison is supposedly going to help police catch the insider who is releasing the photos.

Anthony Wong Chau Sang, Edison's godfather, said that Edison will return to Hong Kong soon to help the police to catch the "crazy man" who is leaking the sex photos. He commented that Edison did not run away and had, long before the scandal started, planned to return to Canada to visit family for Chinese New Year and then to go to America to visit girlfriend Vincy Yeung.

Today Hong Kong authorities caught the ninth suspect without Edison’s help. There have been protests in the streets, and complaints that Edison is just as guilty as the suspects who have been caught. There are also complaints that the people involved are getting a free pass because they are celebrities.

Miriam Yeung, who made an appearance yesterday at a Chinese New Year event at Harbour City as guest of honour,
and is Edison Chen’s godsister, said she had been sending text messages of support, but did not wish to comment on the scandal. As for suggestions that her name will also appear on the list of female celebrities involved in the scandal,

Miriam said that she did not want to comment any further and with the scandal bringing down the general morality in society, she did not want to perpetuate the reports any further. When reporters asked if her parents had questioned her about the incident, she said that her mother trusts her completely and she has her own integrity, so after 12 years in the industry, she has no need to explain herself.

Nat Chan, Bobo Chan’s former boss, said that he had not called her when the scandal hit the news, but said that he was quite worried about her situation. As for suggestions that her engagement had been cancelled as a result of the scandal, Nat refused to comment.

On topic, Miriam is from the conservation generation, which would be sort of safe to say that there wouldn't be any sort of scandal that involved people from that generation..

Gosh, that will be the talk of the town!. Edison is going to have to do some major apologising to the public if he wants to salvage his career but i don't think they'll be very forgiving. After all, he's getting special treatment just because he's a celeb. He should be questioned by local police about the pics because he's the one that took them and it was from his laptop. If this was the states then even if you are a big star you wouldn't get special treatment that's why i'm disappointed in HK because you can still get away with murder because of your status and wealth. This disgusts me even more!

Y'know, I'm not an Edison supporter or anything, but I really don't understand why people get so worked up about Edison. Sure he took pictures of celebrities and sleeping with them, but that's his own private business. I'm sure he never intended for others (besides those he wants to see) to see them. But people has their own fetishes. This is just his. All this was just a big accident.

Now, if people got worked up because he revealed the hypocrisy of certain celebrities, then they are mad at him for the wrong reasons. These celebrities are hypocritical no matter how you see it. All he did was lend an accidental hand.

I think the only thing people can be mad at him for, was the fact that he didn't issue a statement for others when this situation presented itself. He was shirking responsibility. Then again, he'd have to contact all those female stars he had slept with, and ask them for permission to tell the truth to everybody. So he HAS TO KNOW what they want to say first. If he says that yeah, all these pics are real, that would make Cecilia, Gill, Bobo, Vincy and all those involved guilty. He doesn't want to ruin reputations; he just wants to have fun. I don't see why people are all against Edison on this situation. Honestly, those pictures that got leaked out WERE taken by Edison. But it's not like the females that were involved didn't know about it. They accepted the fact that they were being taken pictures of. So why is EVERYONE against Edison? Because he's a guy?
