CHINESE pop diva Faye Wong is planning to make a comeback after spending half her retirement fund on her second daughter's operation for a cleft lip in the United States, China Press reported.

According to a Hong Kong magazine, Wong decided to get back on stage as she could earn more money than her second husband Li Yapeng, an actor.

Besides, Wong also wanted Li to look after her two daughters at home instead of spending time at pubs.

Wong's older daughter, who is 12, is from her first marriage while the second one was with Li.

DONT be so mean. She is a talented singer and actress, but people say in chinese, talent and unhappy spell the same,lol, i don't remember where i got this from. well, she better be back to become entertainer as she is talented enough in singing and acting and since she not happy with marriage, then why hide her unhappiness. she can earn more than her flirtatious husband and she needs to be more financially independent and no more depend on her husband anymore and her husband always enjoy clubbings

She really should not quit the entertainment industry previously as she has not earn enough money to support her own and family unlike those big earners like Jackie Chan, Andy Lau and Jackie Cheung...

whoa..a cleft lip surgery does not cost that much, even in the US. i'm sure faye had millions of dollars as she was extremely popular (still is) at her peak. she made a lot of money with endorsements, films, concerts, most of all she sold albums when people were still buying them.

but there are rumors that her husband has been staying at Pubs...

She's one of the best-selling Chinese artists of all-time so it's doubtful she needs the money (Guinness Book of World records had her as the best-selling female cantopop singer of all-time in 2000). More than likely she just misses singing/performing. It'd be nice to see her come back.
