Flying fox is jing yong novel about the hero Hu fei....there was a TVB version in 1999 play by charmaine sheh and sunny chan....

Is this news true? OMG..I so want to see Gillian in a serie! She will look great in ancient costumes. The other actresses are really great. LOving the cast, never saw the guy before but he looks quite good too! hehe...Can't wait. hopefully someone will post more about the news and hope that the casts will remain the same!!

I've been a fan of yuan for so long...ever since his eternity days...the one where he costarred with barbie and daniel chan...he played the pivotal role of qi ye. he's also gonna play the lead in the chinese version of stairway to heaven a top korean series and was also in a series with alyssa chia in 100th brides....he also was supposed to play yang guo but backed down so the role went to huang xiao ming instead. I'm so happy that his career is picking up speed....

so happy too that it got fan bing bing and gillian. I first saw fan bing bing in this series, I forgot the title though where she was up for revenge on this king or something. she's very beautiful on screen and also I heard she's crossing over to hollywood....gud luck to her.

Since this is ah Wong Jing's production, I believe there'll definitely be a cantonese version.

TVB changed the original story of the story. In Jin Yong's novel, the main guy doesn't meet Miss Mui until near the end of the story. Therefore, if the series is filmed unchanging Mr. Yin's story, Ady's character is not a main. But, her character does end up with the main guy at the end.

Which verison did you see for the tvb? because the one with Sunny & Charmaine, TVB did not follow the book, it doesn't have Gillian's character in it but for the older version (80s), her character is the girl that can heal/poison. It's a big role because she follows the main male lead and helped him througout the story until almost towards 3/4 of the story, she died. Like JJding said, Wong Jing never follow the original story so I doubt he will with this one. Maybe all the girls will end up with Hu Fei!

so far i think only nie yuan, athena and alex are confirmed to be in this serie im not sure if gillian, fbb and ady will be in here...from athena's forum she's the female lead which is charmaine's character in the 99's version....

thanks for the information...thats what i remember too....i use to watch an older version of it and i remember her character appear at the end when all of hu fei girls die or left him...anyway, then i guess if it come out i'll just gonna watch the end....only if ady play though because from what other said fbb, gillian and ady did not confirm....

---yeah charmaine did play the miao ruo lan's role in the 99's version...what i kno is that athena will play the main lead role but i dont kno if ady will participate in this serie or not since i havent hear any news about her confirmin it...i think she's busy filmin in china rite now...i hope wong jing will not kill off many characters in this serie like most of his remake series...that dude always created sad endings..---

　　新版《雪山飞狐》将于近日在北京开拍，演员将于明后两日拍摄定妆照。该剧总导演王晶昨日在新闻发布会现场透露了具体的演员阵容。聂远扮演胡斐、朱茵就并非如早前有媒体所言扮演苗若兰，而是出演袁紫衣一角。在剧中令胡斐魂牵梦绕的程灵素一角色则由TWINS中的“阿娇”钟欣桐出演，一段三角恋情颇有看头。

　　除此之外，暂时公布的演员阵容还包括扮演苗人凤的方中信，扮演田归农的谭耀文，以及扮演胡斐的义父平阿四的高虎。虽然这些演员目前都是以扮演小生为主，不过这次在王晶的安排下就集体升级，变成了父辈人物。

From the pictures posted its the older Alex Fong, the one that doesnt sing. And I think it is Patrick Tam, maybe they just didnt spell it right.

Seeing as this is one of Wong Jin's productions, and with HK star Gillian in it, chances are, this series will be dubbed Cantonese upon release. Just as Eight Great Heros.

I'm not spell wrong. yes, If you call him in cantonese Alex Fong but then in Maderine his name is Alex Fang. Same as Patrick Tam in manderine his name is Patrick Tan.

For the character Miao Ruo Lan and Nan Lan hasn't decide yes, WOng Jing it up to Bing Bing which character that she like seem she did favor for him be a guess stars in this series. Bingbing hasn't decide which role she will be playing in this series. Bingbing is going to go by her schedule, if she has the time, she'll take the role of Miao Ruo Lan, if not, she's going to gueststar in there as Ruo Lan's mom. Because she has a movie with Leon Lai which is said to start filming in April, and plus other series is Ma Jing Tao, she really doesn't have much time to work on other series as a lead.
