Gillian Chung seen Departing to America for Hollywood Film Casting

Gillian Chung was full of energy when she appeared at the airport yesterday. It was believed that she was departing to America for the casting auditions of new Hollywood film “Pinkville” directed by Oliver Stone. It will star Bruce Willis and will be produced by Tom Cruise’s "Cruise/Wagner Productions" Company. If Gillian successfully become's casted in this movie, it will definitely be a great start to her solo career. Gillian had been secretly training for month's to launch her career in Hollywood.

Director Oliver Stone who mainly produces films about war is currently looking for Asian actors/actresses to star in the new film. The storyline is based on an Army general (Bruce Willis) who investigates the My Lai Massacre, an event in which several hundred Vietnamese civilians were killed by U.S. soldiers. It is based on a true story. Perhaps due to Gillian’s cute looks, that’s why her chances are high. Oliver Stone was very interested and had asked her to go to an casting audition.

Yesterday at 11:45, Gillian was seen at the airport with her assistant. Gillian appeared wearing a pair of sunglasses and wore fair make up. She had a very fit figure and it looked like the hard training had paid off. She was not wearing the ring that Juno Mak had given her, which maybe a sign that she’s put her love life aside.
When Gillian noticed that the reporters were taking pictures of her, she quickly walked into the gate but didn’t forget to smile. When reporters asked whether she was on her way to America to audition for the Hollywood casting, she remained silent and didn’t respond.

I hope she gets the part too! It's good that Hollywood and Americans do not care about the scandal so she can start her career again. Except that means Twins will not be coming out soon anytime, I miss their singing.

yep, you-know-who would certainly agree...as does the rest of the internet!

would be nice to see her get the role. she's certainly perfect for that angelic, pretty look (or "innocent & naive"??) of a hollywood movie-victim.

If I didn't remember wrong Mani did say that Gillian was learning English during the months of her absence. Perhaps and hopefully her English is better now. I would love to see her return but I'm doubting a successful casting, afterall how many Asians do you see in an American movie?

Anyway, good luck to Gillian's career. It's time to stand up from the hard fall and come out of the shadows.

Even if Americans knew about her scandal, they could care less - stuff like that happens all time in the American entertainment industry. I hope Gil eventually comes back to HK, I don't know how well she'll do in Hollywood. HK stars don't have a great track record in Hollywood.

omg such actresss who cant sing or act also can get into hollywood?? it will only bring down the standards of hollywood and hk films....any dog or cat also can enter...this is getting too much...y not everyone in this forum jus try their luck too

It's sad how the HK people don't want her just because of the Sex Scandal. Hopes she casted in the Movies. I think she deserves a second chance. Don't know why the hk people are so cold, shut her out. Hope she does well in the states.

Lolz! Totally agree!!! There are heaps of Asian actresses out there which are better than Gillian, in terms of both looks and acting. But it would be really funny if she got some role, all her lil fans get excited about it, then it turns out her 'role' was like a 2 minute extra. XD

Hope she make the part. Not much Asian actresses make it in Hollywood.
But, it's the only chance she got left, since Asians couldn't accept her yet.

I hope it wasn't another disappointment for her. Have some hearts, people.

I really doubt she'll make it into Hollywood.. very few asian celebrities do =T. Even Edison only got a small role in The Grudge.

I TOTALLY DOUBT IT.. She studied in University in Australia and that was the only time where she could actually pratice her english but after returning to HK she used only chinese... i mean think about it ..if you stay in Hk and find work there how often will you use english especially when you are a celeb??

she CAN speak it but she won't speak it fluently in a way that she can express herself efifciently.. she's probably going to have a hard time trying to bring her thoughts into English when she has to do interviews and such.

She doestn' have that star quality that hollywood is looking for anyway and when she gets there she will realize that its not going to be easy at all going up to the top like she did in HK.

And to be honest, I am secretly she wont be casted in the movie.. I dont' even like her at all.. i hope that role would go to someone more talented and better than she!

I agree with you in that her acting stinks and she lacks the star quality but I'll have to DISAGREE that in Hollywood, people only care about acting. Come on! There are plenty of actresses in Hollywood who are current 'it' girls (for eg Jessica Alba) who CANNOT act either.
Gillian's problem isn't her inability to act, but rather, her fobbiness (lack of fluency in English and also image). She doesn't have the kind of quality that Hollywood is looking for. She's too childish looking for her age also. And the added factor that she's Asian is another obstacle she must face.

I don't think she's capable to head over to Hollywood yet. As every else is speculating on her level of clean spoken English. Also, I don't think she's tall enough...so why not ask Maggie Q to be the female lead??

If she does venture into Hollywood, I don't think that she will become an enormous star...but for her to be pick and cast will be an achievement in its own right. Not that many Asian stars get big breaks so I wish her the best.

hm yeh i guess the american entertainment industry wouldn't really care too much about the whole scandal.. it might even make her more popular o_O''but if she gets the role, hopefully she makes a good job of it, afterall by putting herself in the spotlight in america [as a chinese actress] she's kinda representing us and so hopefully will give us a good rep xP and maybe gain back support from some people.. ><

I hope to see Gillain back soon. Hope she gets the part and she does good in Hollywood, but I'm still waiting to see her come back with Charlene and sing some more. To me it seems so lonely without Gillian in the Twins collaboration.
