Due to the nude photo scandal, Gillian Chung (Ah Jiao) bid a temporary goodbye to the entertainment circle for over a year. Next month, on the 9th and 10th, she will officially make her comeback, and take up the post as spokesperson for a brand of jeans. Yesterday, she went to her rumoured boyfriend Juno Mak’s brother’s trend magazine studio to do a photoshoot, taking the first steps to her comeback.

Calm & maintaining a smile during the entire process

Yesterday afternoon, Ah Jiao hopped on a van and headed to her rumoured boyfriend Juno Mak’s brother’s trend magazine studio to do a photoshoot and interview. She wore a long red t-shirt and tight black jeans, with boots. She looked very energetic and when facing the media and on-lookers, she maintained a smile during the whole process. At around 5pm, Ah Jiao, accompanied by her assistant prepared to leave the magazine studio. Because the studio is located in an industrial area, she attracted the attention of a large number of truck drivers. When they saw Ah Jiao, they shouted non-stop: “Naïve Jiao!” But Ah Jiao did not seem to care, and quickly left with her assistant.

"Naive Ah Gill!" -- that's totally rude. Dude, although I dislike the fact that she's such a hypocrite, I wouldn't add salt to her wounds. Even teasing her is wrong. She's obviously dealt with enough embarrassment, and her career has really taken a nosedive. Leave the poor girl alone already.

it's not gillian's fault that her COMPANY gave her the image.. at least she had a "jade girl" image, have you seen HK celebs these days? they're SO sl*tty it's not even funny..

^eh I think you meant to say Gillian not Charlene ^_^*

That's kinda rude  If you don't like her, you can just pretend you never see her. Is there a need to throw in such a rude remark? Or it is because the media's around hence they decided to take advantage of the situation?

It's good to see Gillian back on her feet (even though I am not a very big fan of hers). The public needs to give her a chance. It's been a year, let the past be the past and go on with the future.

Oh gosh, those truck drivers are so rude and mean. So uncivilized & illiterate...truck drivers are truck drivers. These people just make happiness for themselves on other peoples pain/sorrows. Gillian has her punishment already, and she admit her wrongdoing, and she deserves a chance to start over, to start a new life. Why can't people just give her the chance and stop bad mouth on her. I'm looking forward to Gillian's comeback too. Just do your best, we'll still support you.

I don't think people will forget that "naive" part that she mentioned herself...anyhow, that was mean of them...Hopefully she'll be able to get back on her two feet...but it's very likely that people will look at her differently from now on.

I thinks it's because Gil orginally gives out an image of a pure and happy girl so peoples seems more shocked and angry when they seeing those dirty photos of her T____T

Well, at least it has been a year. Everyone should not scold and moke her anymore =.= Plz give her a chance

Out of all the females involved in this case I sympathize Gillian the most. She was the only female who came out publicly, apologized, spat on with rude words and suffered even more. She was brave enough to face all those hurtful insults and yet people still say she just wants pity. She suffered enough, it's time to give her a chance to return. She's human too.

^ I agree. I really admire her for being brave enough to be the first one to come out and apologize to everybody. Look at Cecilia, she didn't come out until now. It sucks that just because of her Twins image and the fact that she's the most popular out of all the female involved, Gillian gets the most backlash from the media and netizens.

People should forget the past. Plus artist's own private life is nothing to concern about. What we want is how they are doing on tv screen

if she wants to make a comeback she shld start from small...cameo roles to supporting then to lead roles..just like the olden days where people start from scratch...they work from small role to big roles....learn and experience from small then improve to big......and not counting on her big backing EEG

We were all given freedom to do things we wanted most in our life. Some (like Gillian) are lucky to have it all such as glitters, glamours and excitements. She must have abused her freedom not knowing the consequences it will brought her. Now she is paying for it.

Everybody deserves a second chance, Gillian deserves a second chance but there must be a sincere remorse and humbleness in herself. People downgrade the hypocrites.

I think because she used the wrong words when she came out and speak. I think if she was to speak truthfully and not mentioned the whole being young and naive thing, maybe people wouldn't be this harsh on her. I think part of it is EGG fault too. The person who wrote her speech at that time, should had thought about it and used better words...The past is the past, but forgiving is easy, but forgetting something can take a life time.

i'm glad that gillian is nearly more or less back to her old self again. i hope she makes a successful comeback. the road might be long & tough but i'm sure gillian can tough it out! go gill! :thumbsup show all your haters you still have the spunk in you.

by the way, why are truck drivers so uncivilised? are they even humans? rubbing salt on a person's wounds like that. gillian has already been bashed, critisised, spat upon, degraded to the lowest level. the least these people can do if they don't like her is to just ignore her. it really reflects poorly on a person's upbringing if they take pleasure by degrading another person, especially one who has faced a downfall like gillian. :thumbdown

If you had saw what Charlene and EEG said, Gillian actually went with those words, EEG didn't even wrote those words for her. She choice to use Naive and young because she said she is like that. In fact, if you saw the fan cams, it wasn't even really a speech, but it is not really a bad thing, even if she had said something else people will still be on her case.

Cecilia and Gillian both handled the situation differently. Cecilia had a more mature responds, that she's willing to accept her wrong doing. She gave her speech a year later after the incident happend. Also cecilia just gave birth so she could just use the time as a maternity leave.

Gillian on the other hand, is selling "jade girl" image and ppl are unable to easily forgive her because this is what she's selling and she has to use whatever it is to protect it.. Her management decided to push her out for a naive speech that gave no thoughts and consideration. The management for gill has to take majority of the responsibility. They tried to rescue her however they didn't know that this puts her at a even worst situation.

The thing that bugs me is, what could Gillian have said that would please everyone? Nothing. Whatever Gillian said at that time, would eventually be used against her in some way or form. If people are gonna hate you, doesn't matter if you're perfect, they will still find flaws to hate on and obviously, Gillian's isn't perfect.

This is exactly why I hate Asian countries. Women who show more skin than the norm are automatically crucified and poked fun at in a demeaning matter but men like Edison receive praises? These women alongside Edison have shown the same amount of skin yet Edison is getting away with it all just because he's a man.

I'm sick and tired of reading people saying that it's the women's fault for taking the photos, yes, that I understand, but what confuses me is, how come no one has mentioned that it's also Edison's fault for taking such photos as well and he should own up to it in which he has never done so. Male chauvinists!! :thumbdown
