Working Girl (Synopsis)

Yi Ling is a simple, innocent girl with thoughtfulness and consideration, believes that the root of people in this world are all good, that there are nothing in this world that could not be solved. Her "taking charge" personality is the most suitable for the company's General Affairs Department. However, the colleagues in the General Affairs Department are all weird people, a supervisor who loves to yell at people, an adorable but with false glory girl who values money and a senior who thinks about marrying herself off all day long. They all like to bully Yi Ling, pushes all the work toward her, but Yi Ling has never had any complaints. She feels that it must be that she's not smart enough, doesn't strive hard enough, so her work and censure are both a tool to train her, is a process that she must go through in her life.

Until the appearance of Da Lun, which changes Yi Ling's 23 years of life. Da Lun sees Yi Ling's cuteness, Yi Ling's strong points. At the same time that he became the force that is making Yi Ling go to work everyday, he also becomes deeply attracted to Yi Ling. But the innocent Yi Ling never thought that she would get the favorable glances from Da Lun. She only wishes to be by Da Lun's side silently every day, watching him, and that is the greatest happiness for her already. Even when Da Lun gathered up his courage to express his feelings to Yi Ling, being the idiot that she is with love, she didn't get the message at all. And Da Lun could only continue to be entwined with the other two girls.

With Da Lun's support, Yi Ling's enthusiasm with her "taking charge" personality is totally unleashed. She helps the bald-headed client find back his confidence, harmonizes the internal strifes of the company's supervisors, accompanies the candy company's boss to make a Valentine's Day trip, riskily helps a colleague to find a ring in the elevator, signs a contract that was impossible, finds the missing advertisement celebrity… all the impossible affairs, when it comes into Yi Ling's hands, all because of her perseverance, foolish strength and great effort, each and every one gets resolved.

But when Yi Ling is faced with her own love, she's not brave at all. She simply doesn't believe that Da Lun would like her, this ordinary and odd girl. As a result, she let the chances disappear from her side time after time. She snaps awake and realizes that if she doesn't hold onto the opportunity, then Da Lun would be leaving from her side. She eventually gathers up her courage and loudly announces, "I love Da Lun"…

He's known for that and he really did a great job on this as i heard. I'd love to see this series too if i manage to find it.

they're selling it @ yes asia...but it doesn't have english sub..... so if you speak mandarin, good for you

anyway, they're always playing re-runs of it in CETV. i've watched it twice there already.

It's a very cute series! Absolutely FUNNY! Don't ya guys think some of the people in the series are PEVERTED? I mean Johny is Helping Yuan Yuan mop and Vikky and this other person was lik "OH GOSH wat are they doing" I really recommend this series if u lik comedy, let me rephrase ALOT OF COMEDY!

overall it was a stupid show...but watched it because of luo zhi xiang..he was just too funny....too bad never get to watch the last few episodes..!

btw, the song "nu lu" sang by jolin in that show was superb!

i thought this waz a really bad series with the try hard be funny
jolin's character is such a 'bai chi' (i mean, a gorilla fedish?!) but the song waz pretty nice

I watching the Working Girl serial and I was SDS all through it. I liked her character in that series though, and I thought her song (the intro,Shou Ai Ni)was pretty good too.

I've just seen 2 episodes of this film so far. Although it seems to be an ok film I dont' think its particularly great. Alan Luo is cute - liked him from Outsiders 2 but Jolin doesn't fit the role.

Don't get me wrong. She's a brilliant songstress and has a lovely voice - but she looks about 14 - no way a working class girl. She has a small girls frame aswell so it looks odd to see her working in an office!

Has anyone seen this? Is it good? What's it about?

im not sure...but i think you're referring to the one with jolin tsai and alan luo? if that is it...then ken only makes a guest appearance in it...

i watch recently the serie working girls
and it's too funny, all the characters are so cute =), of course especially jolin and alan, they make a sweet couple on screen

and i discover that alan luo songs are not bad at all =P

actually, this series was made from a japanese manga.

this is a good comedy but its a shame the language is only in mando, & the subs are in chinese!!

I saw this series on tv and i really like it. xiao zhu is so funny and jolin is absolutely adorable!!! The plot is basically: jolin's character just started working at a advertising firm and her new boss is xiao zhu's character. they meet when she accidentally ran into him in the office (she is supposed to be really clueless and clumsy). They both like each other, but jolin's character is soooo naive that she doesn't believe he would like her...they go through all sort of things together (can't remember)...later on, she finally admits to him that she like him, and they get married. Really really brief synopsis.

I know this series was based on a manga with the same name, but I can't find it online?!? Does anyone know what it's called in chinese?

Yeah! i finally finally found a site to download this series, and it's dvd quality! it's got all the eps. separate, so you can download it one by one instead of the whole thing together like bit torrent.

this was my first taiwanese series! after that, i started a whole bunch more. xiao zhu and jolin tsai make a great team.

hehe man i lubbed this show!! the first few epis were kinda dry but it really picked up on the comedy front. cant remember if its epi 7 or 9 ... or maybe 8 but its a classic!! its the epi where LZX has food poisoning day after day from jolins lunchboxes hahahhahaha if you just wanna see 1 epi to check it out, must MUST watch this epi! its a great standalone!

i jsut started watching this serie and my first impression of Alan Luo aka xiao zhu is he is soooo damn HOT!! Also he matches with Jolin, both of them are funny and cute in the serie!

this series was pretty cute, but i missed the beginning of it. oh well i couldnt really understand most of what they were saying anyways since it was in mandarin.

i just discovered this drama... it's soooooooo funny! everyone in the office cracks me up... alan & jolin are so cute together. i was surprised to find that jolin acted so well.

i borrowed this series from the library..
i watched eps 1~4 straight with my dad.
we laughed so much!

but i have to say, the acting isn't done really well, but that's what makes it funy ehh? lol. i love xiao zhu's acting.. especially when jolin was saying "omgs, look at him! he's so cute. his big black eyes.. and strong muscles" etc lol. than when she turned around.. she said it was the gorilla. lol..

also the part where megan was saying how she use to ruin her life.. and flashback to when they were in high school.. where she told her friends that she got this shirt for 12,000 TW and than jolin pops in wearing the same shirt as her and than saying, "oh really.. u got it for 299 also?" lol!! so funny!!

i cn't wait to borrow the rest of the episodes.

oh my.. lol. i just watched ep 5~8 and it was ok.. episode 5 was sorta boring and it sorta got draggy.. but the funny moments came back near the end of the eps where yi ling started to give da ren lunches lol..

i feel so sorry for da ren.. having to see the girl he likes having a good time with johnny. sigh*

My copy of this (downloaded) doesn't ever play the ending theme song... does anyone know what it is? (Is it another Jolin song?) Thanks in advance.

the ending song was from xiao zhu: 妳說妳的我說我的.
other themesongs, besides the main song, from jolin include: 奴隸船 and 布拉格廣場.

This Serie is very fun! :) And I love Alan Luo, he's hilarious!!! Jolin is doing a good job too! She & Alan are nice together!
