CRI Exclusive--Taiwan singer and composer Jay Chou is set to compose the theme song for film star Jet Li 's new film "Fearless", according to Hong Kong media.

Chou says he cherishes the opportunity to cooperate with his role-model Li, and hopes to participate in the distribution of the film. He says he will incorporate Li's understanding of martial arts to his music. 　　

Li expresses his gratitude towards Chou, and hopes that Chou can bring the positive spirits of the film to young people. With 280,000 young people on average committing suicide every year, Li hopes to awaken them to treasure life through the film.

Though Li said he was not familiar with Chou's music, his wife spoke highly of Chou's musical talent and accepted Chou's gift.

Is fearless going to be a martial arts or action movie? I heard Jet wants to move away fromt hat into Drama or something. I hope this one is action. I can't imagine him in any other role.

interesting.. the trailer for the movie is good as it is and with jay chou composing a song for the movie, it will be even better.. im guessing alot of chinese instrumental will be used. jays an expert when composing these kind of music so its goin to be a good one... jus a question is it the music or an actual song? if song, who is goin to sing (hoping its jay)?

yeah, jet li finally comes out with a new chinese movie. it's been a while since he's been busy in the U.S.. Anyway can't wait to see it cause he is my idol as well. As for Jay chou composing a song for the movie, it should be very good. he is very talented when it comes to composing. can't wait

i don't like how people come into the industry to become singers and later say they're composers...their stuff isn't even all that, especially jays...i mean, he hasn't taken any formal classes or anything. the old generation of song composers were great...people now just say they're composers when their words are totally meaningless...the content in songs use to be meaningful whereas it's completely meaningless now.

not really expecting dis.. but it seems to b a good partnership there.... hope so... although didn't knoe how they knew each other... but i think it will b interestin to c them work together... since jay is a great composer... i think jet li will b happy with his work..

Haha i thought Jet Li was short but looks like his not as short because his looks similar to Jays height in the pic.

Sounds like a very innovative collaboration. Jay's really in to his music too, deliberately talking and watching Jet Li's stuff to make sure his music fits with Jet Li's martial arts prowness. That's a real professional.
