i think it will be really funny to see a TVB version of Bridget Jones... wonder how it will turn out to be. i haven't seen Alex Fong acting for a long time. hope to know more about this series soon!

The only thing i can't imagine and don't want to imagine is myolie putting on 10pounds for this show. it's such a huge sacrifice! Then she's gonna try to look like renee zellweger.

Yes she will have to gain 20 pounds for this series. The filming date was extended to May for the convenience of filming Tai Gik. So afterwards she will have to lose weight like crazy.

Yeah it hard for her to lose weight after again 20 pounds, that alot and not good for her health, who would want to sacrified like that. Anyway good luck to her.

Although Myolie Wu Hang Yee has been filming in Shanghai for "Tai Chi," she returned to Hong Kong yesterday to attend an awards ceremony held by Next Media.
Myolie won an award as one of the "Top 10 TV Artists" sponsored by Next Media. Also other cast members, Liza Wang Ming Chuen and Bosco Wong Chung Chak also won awards for "War of In-Laws."

Myolie said excitedly, "This is my first time winning this award. Although I was placed number 7 on the top ten ranking, I am already very happy. After the awards ceremony, I will be flying back to Shanghai to complete filming for 'Tai Chi.'"

Myolie wore a low cut dress yesterday and it is quite obvious that she has gained weight in her upper body as well as on her face. Myolie has been trying to gain weight to prepare for the June shooting of "Fei Tin Hei Seen" (TVB's version of Bridget Jones Diary).

Myolie said, "In Shanghai, I have been eating dessert every night. Before sleeping, I will eat chocolate and instant noodle. I have gained at least 5 lbs."

How much weight is Myolie trying to gain for the role? "There is no specific target, as long as it gives people an impression that I have gained weight, then that's fine. I also didn't think of what effect it will have on my chest size. There are still 3 more months to go before filming starts in June. I can gain more weight in the meantime!"

Reporters asked Myolie whether it has been necessary to change her undergarments yet? Myolie said not yet, but it may be necessary in the future! When the reporters pointed out that it is easy to gain weight, but hard to lose weight, Myolie said calmly, "TVB has already found a health company to take care of this. So I am eagerly anticipating gaining weight and not afraid of it."

Bosco Wong Chung Chak also won an award and was placed number 3 in the artist ranking. There has been recent rumors that Kate Tsui Tsi San has been late to the filming of "Thousand Lies Various Schemes" and is not getting along with the rest of the cast. Bosco said it was a misunderstanding and that Kate gets along fine with the crew.

Andy Hui to star in TVB's Bridget Jones' Diary

TVB will be starting to film the hong kong version of Bridget Jones' diary, the female lead has decided to be Myolie, and she will gain 20 pounds for the role, as for the male lead, it was rumored to be Alex Fong, however, it has now been confirmed to be Andy Hui instead, won the role.

It was suggested that, ever since Andy Hui won the JSG best male singer, with Sammi Cheng in the same year, his results since have been so-so, enough to compete with Hacken and Leo Koo, last year, his performance wasn't the best, hence, decided not to attend any ceremonies. The best male singer award has gone to Hacken several times, watching Hacken to be favored by TVB, therefore, decided to raise his importance by agreeing to filming series with TVB, hoping to bounce back and compete in the singing field again.

Ms. Lok confirmed yesterday that Andy Hui will take the new role, and she is not worried ppl. will start the rumor about Andy exchanging for award, "TVB has never done such a thing, exchanging roles with awards, series is series, songs are songs, in addition, the best male singer has just been awarded, this year, we don't yet know who will win. TVB has always been looking for singers to film in series, last year, Hacken did support TVB a lot, but it has nothing to do with awards. We have always been in touch with Andy, and he has always wanted to film for us, despite preparing for a new CD, he will find time to film for us." As to Andy, where he has asked to sing the themesongs, Lok answered, "Not at all, it's too soon, we are speaking about the filming only."

As for Myolie, who has been eating a lot at night, before bed time, her gaining weight is easily made out, more 'meaty,' quite impressive, Myolie smiled, "There is no need to buy new underpants yet, may be later."

this movie sounds a like its gona b a FLOP!! bridget jones (eng version) is a wicked film. would be a hard task to meet the high expectations. GUD LUCK! well look forward to seeing it.

Yesterday Myolie Wu, Charles Szeto, and others attended a medical insurance function. They all walked across the stone mats to test their health. Myolie will start filming for TVB's 'Bridget Jone's Diary' in the end of May and has succeeded in weighing over 120 pounds. She joked, "I will still be fat after filming Tai Gik." As with Andy Hui coming back to film series, Myolie supports him, "He was just taking a rest earlier. When I was little, I loved to watch his movies and I really hope to cooperate with him."

Moreover, Patricia Liu talks about her health, "When I was 25 years old, I started taking care of my health and even went to the gynecologist. I needed to check if I had any sickness, especially any female diseases which are common right now. I have a 23 year old year who has a tumor in her womb, but that's good that it was still only in its beginning stage and could be removed." She also mentioned that she has bought medical insurance for herself.

Hopefully TVB casts someone that's not from the "younger generation"... not that I have anything against them, I just think TVB should cast more mature-looking actors to suit the series more + give the series a fresher feel (and not just repeating the same old pairings again).

Actually Moses Chan and Kevin Cheng are on my mind. " But then, giving it a bit more thought, Dave Wong, Nick Cheung and Dayo Wong also popped into my mind (DON'T ask me why, just call it instincts ) I guess I enjoyed Dave's role in Just Love, and Nick&Dayo = comedy, LOL.

I dunno isn't Myolie like 100 pounds? Being 120 is probably just going to look more healthy....I don't see it as such a big deal. Renne Zellwegger on the othe rhand had to gain like 30 lbs...

i dont get why it has to be a remake.. why cant tvb just come up with their own idea.. .cause if they say its a remake, people are gonna compare it to bridget jones diary and stuff.. i think its better to just start out fresh.

Hmm....dunno about this production. Expanding an American Bridget Jones story into a long TVB series may get dragged out. Hopefully they can keep up the storyline to be interesting.

Andy Hui's a decent singer not judging his vocals or voice. But, I do admit he looks really awkward at times but when he spikes his hair up and everything he looks ok Plus who knows what kind of chemistry he'll have with Myo?

Too bad Steven Ma is filming that series with Bernice. I'd think he'd fit the Collins' role nicely. Other ppl that come to mind is Moses/Chilam/Kevin. I think they all look good for their age. Rumour has it though that Bowie might be the other lead. I like Bowie enough but frankly speaking he's just too old for Myo. Age might not be such a big problem if we look at TITS . . . but it will make it harder for the viewer to believe in the pairing.

She kinda looks like MOlly Ringwald there, maybe its the hair. Myolie is definitely an actress who takes on various roles. Is andy hui really in this? SO excited for this.

Yeah I cant wait to know the surprise too, I am hoping for Bosco is the other male lead too, it really a big surprise for Boscolie's fan like me , I will be excited if it true .
I am worry about her health too, poor her ,sacrified alot, wish her good luck.

i'll be watching this for Myolie; i'm not too fond of the male casts: Andy, Matthew Ko and Jack Wu. other female casts include Gigi Wong (myo's and ray's mom in Golden Faith) and Selina Li.

It's the other way around. Myolie is the one who has a crush on Matthew. It's nice that TVB is pairing up new people. I don't like to see the same people in series all the time. I don't see anything wrong with Andy.

Also I just saw the function of the series and WOW, Myolie's face is BLOATED and her arms are HUGE! I can't believe she gained 30 pounds for the role. I hope the sacrifice is worth it!

Actually I thought it was Matthew that has a crush on Myolie? I saw the costume fitting for FTHS and Myolie doesn't look that big. She looks quite sexy in the dress even though her body is a little 'loose'. Nevertheless if Myo's outfits are this sexy for the series i'm definitely looking forward to Myolie playing the role I didn't like Matthew's outfits though, he still looks quite scrawny and I wouldn't mind if he got a teeny bit bigger

omg, just watched the scoop show... What happened to our dear Myolie?!! But I still love her though She still looks pretty when fat. How cute and a HUGE clap for Myo for successfully gaining weight for the role. And Andy and Myolie were just cute! Esp. when he picked her up like that Hmmm.. starting to like this couple. Myo better end up with Andy I shall refrain myself from commenting on Matthew.
