Tavia's character will leave for Japan to pursue her education, as a result leading to a new love relationship between Ron and Joey

Fiona's character, she will suffer a traffic accident and die as a result. Sammul will have a crush on Sonija's character.

Sonija Kwok and Michael Tao will be appearing as husband and wife and both will be police officers. Since Sonija's police officer rank is higher than Michael's, they will often have arguments. But the two will reunite despite marital differences.

- Deep (Tavia's brother) is only in 5 chapters
- Kate will have a crush on Ron
- The story revolves around Ron and Sammul applying for PTU (Police Tactical Unit) so they will have to cut their hair really short again.

Joey Yung Working With Ron & Sammul in New TVB Series

Joey Yung as Hong Kong music industry’s heavenly queen, has a price tag of millions of dollars. But she will be working on a series for a ‘friendly price’ for TVB to thank the company.

Joey has worked on two TVB series between 2000-3, ‘Green Hope’ and ‘Not Just a Pretty Face’. In NJPF, Joey portrays an unattractive girl and has a love relationship with Roger Kwok. Due to the extreme work schedules, recording, promotion and filming, Joey ended up ill and had to rest for a few days before starting work again.

Despite falling ill once when filming, when TVB offered her the job, Joey agreed straight away. Joey expressed that she accepted the job to thank TVB for giving her all chances over the years and has nothing to do with the music award ceremonies.

The series does not have a name yet but it will begin filming in July. Due to the fact, the role Joey is playing (a policewoman) is especially designed for her, the diva is not worried. As for the leading males, TVB has chosen young siew sung, Ron Ng and Sammul Chan.

Yesterday morning Sammul Chan attended the 2006 Asia Match promotion. Regarding the rumor that he was kicked out of the TVB 'high-level' dinner party earlier, Sammul explained that his chance of attending the party would be very rare. After joining TVB, he has only attended it once a few years ago. Does he feel weird not being able to attend the dinner? He expressed that he doesn't have that feeling. Earlier he also wasn't able to attended the TVB Popularity Awards and the World Cup functions but he still doesn't feel disappointed.

About TVB executives only paying more attention to TVB contracted artists, Sammul said, "Earlier there was a rumor about me being disobedient and frozen, but The Academy 2 will start filming in July. If I really was frozen, then I wouldn't be in the series! (Are you planning to sign a contact?) Not now, I really like freedom. I have alot of unfinished work in my hands right now so I willl not consider it now."

What kind of role will Joey play??? She's too old to be a love interest for Ron and Sammul, right? Please please let Tavia be in this series again with Ron.. !!!

actually, believe it or not...Joey is younger than both ron and sammual...she is born in 1980!!!

I wonder if they are going to make the same storyline like in Police Cadets part II, then they will prolly even make a part III. lol For some reason, I found The Academy boring through.. 30 eps was a bit too much. It dragged way too much. And it only focuses most of the time on the 4 main characters. The only characters I liked was the relationship with Chin ka Lok and his ex-lover. I found them to be quite comical, but cute. To be honest, I always hated Chin Ka Lok, he suprise me in this serie. I hope he makes a comeback in part II. But who knows, maybe they gonna kill him off or something. Anywho, although I don't remember anything much from the old police cadets with tony and margie but I like the old one better.

where is tavia and fiona??? i hope they in it...why not use the old cast :s its so stupid when there is a sequel with 'other' leaders

i don't know what's the point of having a sequel if the original cast are not gonna come back. wish Tavia would join..

Whats the point in calliing this TA2 when blaintly two female lead characters aren't there... you know the audience would be expecting .. something along the lines of a continuation of Fiona and Sammuel and also to find out what happens to Tavia and Ron, BUT NO they have to replace Tavia and Fiona with Joey Yung and Kate Tsui, How are they going to explain this to the audience how two of the lead has maracously disappeared, Died... Gone to study University... Seriously I don't think I will be watching this, I only wanted to watch TA was mainly because of Tavia and Ron but now BLEH

This is about the cast changing..

Why are they bothering? the draw for the first series was the return of Michael Mui to series. All the other characters did not give outstanding performances. I love Joey, but she should seriously stick to singing.

maybe she does have a series lined up for her, just unannounced. similar to Kate, she didn't even know she was casted for this series until the reporters told her. plus, TVB will be filming their long series soon, i much rather Tavia take part in that.. *prays*


ya, i sorta agree. also, the series itself wasn't that great imo. only mediocre.. but it did leave room for continuation. not excited about any Joey pairing, even though Joey herself is not something i would complain about. if Fiona's not in here, i hope it's Sammul+Kate pairing. they looked rather cute as friends in WRTL

i kinda agree too i didnt like tavia's role before........... i dont really want to see her here...

More bad news, Kenny Kwan (EEG singer) is added to the cast. This is horrible. Joey can't act at all and I don't like Kenny. This is going to be a brand new series with no relation to the sequel. TVB did this before with Burning Flame. Wong Hei was the lead in both but they were separate stories.

Oh my.. this sequel is sounding worse and worse.. I don't know if I can watch it out of principle.. with the way the original series ended.. it made so much sense for them to make a sequel.. so we could see what happens to TR!!!! but what's the point of a sequel with no relation to the original????

The cast list looks fishy to me. Michael Tao? I thought he left TVB again? If he didn't I guess he'll once again play the 'police force related' type of role again. Will he be like Michael Mui in TA?

Joey sux at acting. And I'm not a fan of the original cast either. Joey should stick to singing b/c the stuff I've seen with her is pretty mediocre. Unless she can shed off her idol image and decide to act seriously.

On the other hand, I think it's actually to Tavia's benefit that she doesn't take up this role. She had a pretty crappy character in TA anyways and most folks only want to watch Ron/Tavia again. If so then I'd rather Tavia be given a better role rather than play opposite Ron.

and why is Sonija in this series? Most ppl are right, with SONIJA and Joey in this series the quality is gonna be 0. I think I might as well skip this series then

well... TVB actually make sequels without the main casts A LOT. like burning flames II, besides wong hei, everybody else was different just like how in here, besides ron, fiona, and sammul, everybody else is new.

is this series really confirmed with those actors/actresses? there are still no costume fitting or news from it except sammul supposedly saying its gonna start filming soon. this cast also seems fishy too. joey and sonija.. thats a weird combination. usually series with joey in it, there aren't much great actresses. michael with any of those two are weird.

hm i bet you joey and kenny's only taking this offer because they want those music awards in future shows. i used to be a joey fan but after seeing how she is now and her songs have gone downhill i don't like her anymore. and no offense to kenny fans.. he can't sing live and often off keys. but anyway.. how can they have a sequel without tavia?? that's completely absurd. her ending with ron wasn't even done yet! tvb is going overboard. i don't think i'm even going to watch this. and i wish oscar chan and zac koo was also casted into this.

Okay not to be mean but I don't think they would really listen to the petition. Because it's not that big. The cast is not yet confirmed either. And not many people signed the petition. If you get like more than a million people to sign than yeah you may have a chance.

i hope they'll have the costume fitting soon, especially to confirm the casts. from what i've read in the papers, i only know for certain Joey, Ron, and Sammul will be in the series.

hmm...as for the other ones, i'm not so sure. and i think i read a Fiona article somewhere that she said she's going to concentrate on her album in the 2nd half of the year, so when does she have time for the series (too bad....no fi!!!). hopefully, i'm wrong though, and she'll be in it still.
