This picture really makes Gillian look a lot more mature. This movie just recently been released in Hong Kong. We have the mandarin dubbed in downloads. Hopefully I will be able to rent it soon.

(Official synopsis) After passing out from the Police Training School, Kit (Nicholas Tse) and Fit (Edison Chen) are assigned posts in different stations in Hong Kong. Kit, by chance, meets his father, Cheung Tit Man (Simon Yam) who left the family after quarrel with Kit's mother. Kit's cousin, Wing (Gillian Chung), has loved Kit since she was a child and considers herself to be his girlfriend. However, when Fit met Wing many years ago, he falls in love with her...





MY REVIEW
i just watched this movie last night and thought it was great. Nic was ever so cute. My dad and i were discussing how many HK actors are just actors but Nic has something about him that gives him star power. blush His acting is good except for the part where he is supposed to cry. I hate when Nic cries in movies because he is unable to do it. He just puts his hand to his faces and starts shaking his body. But for everything else, he is good. Edison is actually able to do good in a movie and his character is actually likable too. Usually I don't much like his characters because he is too cocky and unable to get into character. However this movie, he does a pretty good job of it. The story line is quite interesting and the action is good. WATCH IT!!

ooh...i just finished watching it last night too!!

i loved nicholas and edison in it, i thought they were both really good, but i thought the part where nicholas found out the truth between his mom and his dad was kinda weird cause he was between laughing and crying and shaking, so it was a bit unusual

gillian's role wasn't as big as i thought it would be, so there's not much to say about her, but i thought things moved kinda fast between her and edison, one second she liked her cousin, and then the next thing you know, she's three months pregnant with edison's kid!

there was a lot more fighting than i thought there would be, and i thought it was pretty good for both edison and nicholas

i must say that the plot wasn't too original, i didn't see anything that made it stand out from the other movies minus the cast, but that itself is enough to make most people watch it

as for Gillian i really didnt expect her to have such a litle part in this movie

to me they had too much fighting making the movie seem soo short because most of it was just fighting

but i did enjoy this movie sad thing was that poor Edison died

he dies after chasing the bad guy and used all his power i think
since he was injured bad and keep chasin.. how he die is really nice..

i think gillian looks pretty in this serie... i like her hair its match with her

this movie was good but it was really predictive.. this is similar to the other "Wong Jing" movie i watched last year.. staring lau chin wan jordan and gillian

i loved this movie. it was actually better than i expected it to be...at first i watched it because of Edison, but then i got really drawn into it.

lol, it was really funny seeing Gillian like that...and i was kinda confused with her relationship with Edison and Nic...it was weird...they're cousins and they're going out??

i cried when Gillian was having that talk with Nic about Edison, and Edison was just outside the door...it was so sad. and then i cried when Edison died; when he started having flashbacks of all the happy times. flashbacks of a dying person always gets to me.

i really liked that song that Nic sang during the dying scene though. anyone know what it's called?

Usually, I just watch Chinese comedies because sometimes HK films are too uh... "sappy?" for my taste. But I loved this movie so much! I watched it four times since I've brought it! I just love it so much! And overall, Ed's acting was all right...I was expecting him to do poorly. Guess I was wrong. LoL!

I think Gillian look really good in this movie and she changed alot,the other movies she was in, her character role was aways cheerful, but in this movie she actually become serious and more mature, that is what i like about her.

i just rewatched this series a few days ago it is sooo good
but everytime i see Edison die its just sooo sadd
i like their son he looks sooo "dut yee"
i think Nic did his role better then everybodie else in the whole movie
i like Nic and Ed's hand shake thing

I quite enjoyed this movie, but there were a few plot holes that remained.

Maybe i didn't watch it properly but could anyone tell me who was the actual mole in the police? It was quite confusing because there was supposed to be a mole in the police squad right ? But this never seemed to be mentioned again.

Overall, the film was enjoyable and Nic did the best performance imo, and its quite a shame that Edison dies, but i guess it would be abit too predictable or not as interesting ending if he didn't.

This movie was an alright one. Most of the scenes were fighting scenes. Some of the relationships in the movie were not as clear as they could've been. If it was more clear, I think it would definitely enhance the movie a bit more.

The cast was great! I like Nicholas the most, Edison looked cute in there too. However, Gillian wasn't so attractive in there, and her roles seemed ambiguious. On the contrary, Nic's mom in the movie was quit pretty considering that she was a mom and her age was old. She looked rather young, still, eventhough she's old.

I would not recommend this movie.

but ya i think she is pretty old in real life too
she also looks that young in Dragon Loaded as Stephy's mother

I dont know, i know a lot of people watch this film for obvious reasons. But in all honesty this movie is soO average ... Gillian was the one that truely shined...

niCk did okies and Edison i kinda expected a lil more ...

i was expecting more from this movie
but it was pretty good
most of the characters didnt have much roles in there
the time was just spread out for every character
like Nic would have a few mins then Ed then some other guys

Yes, this was really not as bad as I thought. But since I love the Police Cadet series, I thought this movie would be more happy-go-lucky, but instead it was rather dark and tragic...well that's how I prefer the movies to be...two thumbs up for this one
But they should have left the character of Cheung Wai Kit's father as he was in the old series, an ordinary cheap man, instead of making him a police officer.

One thing about HK action movies i find ridiculous is when they have shoot outs, the detail to attention is weak. There's a scene in the movie when the cars were getting blasted and the windows did not even break. And how can u hide behind a car and don't get hurt by a AK-47. Its the same thing in the movie "breaking news". Those are the minute details HK directors needs to do to get better. Other than that the movie was good and thorougly enjoyed it.

I love the relationship that Edison and Nicholas has in the movie. Just another two hotties so I had to buy the movie. It's good, but pretty ugly ending and sad but there's the story. Not much to be excited about except Edison and Nicholas, the two Gen-X and Gen-Y cops actors. Nice to see them together in police roles again.

I just wanted the movie too and I think I saw a Miss Hong Kong 2004 contestant #11 Devily Lai make a guess appearance in the movie. She was one of the people standing around in a group, the group leader was talking to Nicole. Devily didn't even say a word, she just stood there, holding her drinking glass. If I was so lucky as to be in the same movie as Nicholas and Edison....I'd just melt... '

same here..that's what i was thinking..i thought they were gonna reveal in the end that it was the Lady cop, Nicole...hmmm..also it was not shown that Kit's (nic tse) father was cleared of the murder charges..and yeah..i also wasnt quite sure why Fit (edison) got involved with the triad was it part of an act, did he have no choice, or he really wanted to join?

but overall, i liked it..i just watched this last night..im a nic tse convert now and edison carried the role well..he must do more of those kind of roles (action-heroish)..well gillian..it was supposed to be more mature Wing towards the end right? she didnt quite cut the wife role in my opinion..

I was kinda disappointed by this movie...now, dont get me wrong, i love the casting except for that girl Nicole, i didnt really like her...it would've been better if Gil had more screen time...the thing that disappointed me about this movie was Ed and Gil's relationship, in one scene, their riding in a bus, the next they're married, and all of a suddenly Gil is 3 months pregnant....that was too rush....and another thing is how Gil moved on from Nic to Ed so fast...again it was too rushed....one other thing i didnt understand about the movie is the story between Ed and the triad leader, it didnt seem like he HAD NO CHOICE but to join the triad....other then that, i thought i movie was good....i love the shooting, and fighting....and i thought that part where Nic finds out about his father wasnt unusual, because he was in the state of shock and couldnt believe that the father he hated wasnt like that at all...I love all of the scenes with Ed and Gil, and Nic...and i especially like the ending of the movie, how Ed slowing fell when he was dying, that part made me cry, and i'm getting teary as i'm typing this lol....and that song that came on at the end of the movie was so good! Overall, i thought this movie was good, like every other movie it had its ups and downs, but it was still good....

BTW, the song at the end of the movie was from Nic's album, Listen Up, if anybody wants it, i could give you the site to download the whole album....

The movie was okie, like someone said before, it was amazing to see edison get hit in the head like 20X and he still could stand up and hold a gun while his blood is dripping down from his head.

the movie seemed rushed. i agree with tuyen....when the heck did Gillian and Edison get married in the movie, neither less started to actually date??

Nic was really cute in the movie, so i guess it's even. how come Nic didnt get the girl in this movie?

i'm disappointed that gillian had such a small role

Personally this movie was really really bad to me. It was so random some of the scenes didnt even make sense. The only good thing about this movie are the action sequences!

Yeah, it was rushed a lot. Gillian's part was so small, I watched it just for her and yet......she and Edison were just starting to date, then we see her pregnant already, I'm sure Wing didn't have such a small part in the TV version. It was sad that Edison had to die, but the last scene where Nicholas told Edison's son that his dad was a very good cop and then they did their little handshake thing while showing the past times where he and Edison did was nice and kind of cute watching the kid, it seemed bad that Gillian didn't even have a single line there, she just stood there and smiled, she looked so mature!

this movie isnt what i expected, i shouldnt have high expectaction of a Wong Jing movie, very weak plot, was the charactor of edison suppose to win symphaty of the audience?well he didnt win mine, i kinna happy of what happend to him in the end, havent seen nic tse play in a movie for a while

Hmmm...Gillian's fans are bound to be disappointed as she really has a guest starring role in the movie rather than even a supporting role. Even her cameo in "Love on the Rocks" has more substance than this.
Overall an okay film if you are an Edison or Nic fan. It's a Wong Jing film. What do you expect? Except for 'Color of Truth' which really had quality, most if not all of Wong Jing's shows are forgetable.

Ok movie, but I didn't get the part where edison had to help that mob boss. What was his motive for helping the mob? I at first though he was a double agent for the cop....and also the mob had nothing concrete to hold against edison.....The movie just didn't make much sense...ok actions and good cinematography...6/10

i just dont really understand gillian.. so fast for her to fall out of love with nic and fall in love with his best friend ed just because he dogged her bday...

i liked this movie!! but i thought gillian's role would be bigger than it actually was. i loved the scene of her and edison on the bus, cute! heehee. yes, i really liked the acting of nicholas and edison. i hope they could act together in another movie soon! both are so cute!

I Liked this movie too but my opinion is that, I didn't think that edison could handle to role as well as others could have. Don't get me wrong or nothin but he did do a good job but some of the parts, i just didn't think, suited edison, or that a 'minor actor' was over shadowing him. (e.g the scenes with edison and lam suet)

I think that this movie rocked. Although Edison could have been a little better, but Nic Tse is up to his usual standard. Gillian should get a couple of acting lessons first .. her reactions are like ... slow. But she's still cute nevertheless.

I hate edison and hate his acting and his type. But he did ok here, so did Nicholas but he acts strange sometimes.. Gillian did good imo.. She was serious and mature.. I wanted to see her more in the movie.. this movie was ok overall.. good story

In my opinion, this movie was okay. Things happened so randomly, like how suddenly Ed and Gill ended up together so quicky and she became pregnant. Nic's acting improved. He was good. Edison on the other hand...=x.

This movie was pretty good, except the point that Edison died in the end which was plain sad leaving Gillian and their son all alone....... Gillian's part was REALLY little, I mean, she's supposed to be the leading actress, isn't she? But the scenes you see her in are basically: First appearing - Riding on a bus with Edison - Helping out at their desert shop - Pregnant?! - Crying to Nicholas about Edison - Last Scene with Nicholas and her son. That's it! I'm glad she's finally getting proper lead roles now.

this movie was so sad esp when Edison died at the end.....why does some1 have to die in every police/crime movie??!! anyways, loved da EG scenes tho I would have to agree with carmen1989, gillian's role was too little even tho she was supposedly the leading actress...sigh
