Is anyone of the opinion that Raymond Cho did a better job in singing Hacken's version of "Yat Seng But Bin"? Ron seemed nervous and shy when he sang in the public whereas Raymond was more confident.

clapclap haha, agreed. Raymond Cho's version was definately better than Ron's. Ron sounded very shaky and nervous. lol, never really been a fan of Ron's singing. i hate the sub-theme that he sang, it sounds awful. the song really isn't that bad, it's just the way he sings it that gets on my nerves i guess.

Raymond use to be a singer before he turned to acting. His career story is similar to Kevin Cheng's.

Oh no wonder. Ron's version wasn't very good. It's still acceptable when Ron sings with music in the background. But when it's just his voice, it's really obvious that his voice is only average.

Well Raymond was a singer before so he had singing experience, plus his voice is more lighter and the Hacken song suits Ray's voice more.

Definitely! Raymond appears as if he put more effort into singin' than Ron. Moreover, Ron's voice is rather deep. Maybe it's the reason TVB cut Ron off and played Hacken's version instead. :D

Yeap, I agreed that Raymond Cho sang much better than Ron. Raymond sang with lots of feeling to the song, whereas both Ron's versions at the hotel room and the bridge sounds like words mumbling out. No feeling. No expression.

Anyone has Raymond's version of the song or know where to download it? I want to listen to it again.

raymond's version was definatley better than ron's. ron ng's voice puts me to sleep. havong to hear his subtheme after every episode ticked me off.

Hahaa even though I'm a Ron fan, I have to admit, Raymond did sing it better than Ron. Raymond sang it really smoothly and Ron's voice was a little shaky. But anyhow, Ron's singing was acceptable.

Indeed...I think Raymond Cho started his singing career in the early or mid 1990s. Think he also won one of the best newcomer singing awards. I remember back then, people were comparing his singing skills to the Jacky Cheung's singing. Don't know why he gave up on it.

ohh, yup, i agree.. ron really did sound nervous when singing it during proposing to ella.. raymond did better ;] raymonds voice is much sweeter and relaxed than rons. probably cuz he was used to it, but definately in this song, prefer raymonds over rons.

ron couldnt even hit half of ther high notes because his voice began to crack, and i even heard that he doesnt know all the words, so who knows it was a good attempt but the live and cd version is quite dramatically different

Yeah I'm a Ron fan, but this time I wouldn't choose Ron. I thought Raymond's version was better than Ron singing.
