Sammi, Miriam, Leon and Andy to collaborate in new film

In recent years, Hong Kong films had lose out to Western films during the Chinese New Year holidays, some movie companies rather not shoot any Chinese New Year movies, but last year Mandarin Film’s All’s Well End’s Well 2009 manages to become the box office champion which motivated other movie companies to start shooting movies for the Chinese New Year holidays. After Mandarin Film announced that they will be shooting All’s Well End’s Well 2010 with the same cast of Louis Koo, Ronald Cheng and Sandra Ng, Media Asia decided to put Johnnie To and Wai Kar Fai together in a film that will included 10 artistes from Amusic.

Since 2002 Chinese New Year film Fat Choi Spirit, best partners Johnnie To and Wai Kar Fai will be collaborating in a comedy again as they will be collaborating in new year’s Chinese New Year movie for Media Asia, it will be an elegant crazy love comedy, pairing Sammi Cheng, Miriam Yeung with heavenly kings Andy Lau and Leon Lai.

Other cast includes Richie Ren, Zhang Guoli, Huang Xiaoming and Zhang Hanyu. The attention will fall on the first collaboration between Sammi and Miriam who alleged to be not on good terms, to prevent any confrontation, Sammi is under East Asia and Miriam under Amusic which is both owned by Peter Lam. Peter has intention of putting these two rivals in the same film could become a breakthrough. Andy and Leon whom were also alleged to be not on good terms had earlier collaborated in Infernal Affairs III thus their collaboration would be of less interesting when compared to the collaboration of the 2 heavenly queens.

I really hope that this is true!!! I wanna see Miriam and Andy paired up together cause as others have stated, Sammi and Andy has collaberated as a couple multiple times aready and Miriam with Leon will be a tad weird since he is her boss at Amusic lol. But these are refreshing pairings and collaberations! Hope it will fall thru and that we can see this movie in 2010!

this is soo cool! andy & sammi have one of the best chemistries ever. and miriam is just as funny & cute as sammi. i can't wait!
