Series of character artwork for characters in the new "Storm Riders 2″ movie was released recently on the internet. Besides the earlier two released of Cloud (Aaron Kwok) and Wind (Ekin Cheng), other supporting and generic characters artwork was also leaked apparently together with them.

"Storm Riders 2″ will make use use of CG extensively and post-production is expected to last for about a year. Costume design will be taken charge of by Oscar nominee and famous Hong Kong art producer, Hai Chung Man. He will re-design their outfits according to the new storyline. And from the new artwork, we can see that there's a vast difference between the first movie and now.

The most obvious difference is Aaron Kwok's Cloud character. He no longer has wavy blue hair and also doesn't flex his Fire Beast arm anymore. He is now outfitted with armour instead but still looks far more awesome than the previous. Ekin Cheng's Wind character still look as good if not better. Charlene Choi Second Dream character looks pretty good too in her outfit.



New China actress Tang Yan role as Chu Chu is the only exception here as she has two artworks, one showing her in a mysterious hood and the other uncovered. Nicholas Tse Juet Sum character is decked out in golden armour.



The following are artworks of generic characters in the movie. All of them looked very detailed and is a good fit for the original comic characters artwork.

wow. the artwork all look really good. looks like they came straight from a chinese comic book. should be interesting to see how they bring these art pieces to life.

I really liked the first part of the movie that they made back in '99 so I'm glad that a second part is coming out after a decade. Hope it's as good as the first one.

hmm...sounds cool...but don't u think that Aaron and Ekin are a bit too old for the characters? i mean, they both r good looking guys but human being human, we can't fight against time and aging.....

The artworks are terrific! Really retains the 'comic book' feel. Charlene's image looks very different from her usual image and Nic looks HOT!

ekin is like my hero in fighting movies. Storm Riders I is one of my favorite movies. Can't wait to see part II. The artwork are awesome. Look way cooler than before. It my opinon I think Cloud(Aaron) should have like half armor suit instead of having a full armor just so that the fire beast mark on his arm.

i cant wait till thsi comes out...it would be reallly interesting a sequel 2 the first one and its been years since that...cant wait till this comes out

i actually like char's look for this film...she seems to be portraying a silent, tough character that's quite unlike her normally bubbly personality...can't wait to watch TSRII

looking at these artwork, i kind of wish they would do an animated film entirely in the manhua style. that would be awesome.

Oh, I really really love those artworks! Everyone looks awesome in their outfits.

Can anyone tell where can I get a copy of storm rider 1. Been looking for it for so long and I knew it that the movie is somewhat old. Please!! Anyone??? Hoping for your fast reply to my dilemna. I really love the movie much and very looking forward for its part 2. Hope it will be soon.

Oh man I can't wait for this to come out. I got the first one on DVD, can't wait to add this one to my collection. But why changing the look of Cloud, why no fire beast arm?
