About Maja: From what i see she's really talented and pretty actress,since im not filipino not much i can tell about her,but i can see she's good in acting (from the trailer of her movie) and she's really pretty make her a good contender with Agnes...will see..

The production company in charge of the upcoming series Exchange Love which originally was to be done by Mike He and Rainie Yang, Comic Ritz was bewildered by the amount of news about it posted in the net and various accusations of unconfirmed casting.

"We are still on the process of selection of the cast members and this project will not yet be materialized as of this year. This could be done in the latter part of next year or even the year after. All we could say is that there will be crucial changes to the script and this series is a planned vehicle for fresh faces in this industry. This is to present something new and diverse to people." This was a statement given by a spokesperson.

They did not comment on the possible casting of Arron Yan. But commented on Agnes Monica and Maja Salvador's choice on being leading ladies as something to be deeply scrutinized. The word if the series is to proceed is not yet final but their focus because of many contending series being done as of the current. But Exchange Love is indeeda drama about teenagers to be done by dominantly new and young actors and actresses.

"Exchange Love could only see the light of day much, much later but not now. Nothing is final or confirmed."

hm... agnes monica! she's damn good in acting! she's cute n knows mandarin. that's important, duh... it must be weird/ there must be an existence of the 'feeling of uneasiness' if the main actress didn't speak mandarin n then the voice got to be substituted. isn't it? anyway, go agnes!

yeah, maja salvador. she's one of the very few filipina teen actresses that doesn't annoy me. ^__^" plus she got real acting talent and she dances really well.

I am a HUGE Rainie fan and it's funny of all these people comparing Agnes Monica and Maja salvador so I tried youtubing them, but I must say, I think the Maja girl has greater chance to break through the Taiwanese industry because she's prettier and more talented than Agnes Monica (who really seems to be an Asian ripoff of Xtina Aguilera, from wardrobe to the voice to the piercings)

Besides, what we need is a charmer who's a darling onscreen but who could act at the same time right? I think she won't have a problem in learning the language, it's far easier than actually learning the talent of "unique" acting and this girl sure has style and charisma!

oh yeah, that MMK episode with John Wayne is good. i hope somebody would sub that episode for non-filipino fans. that story is a bit similar to exchange love in the sense it is poor girl and rich boy. the MMK episode where she lost all her memory is pretty good too. i haven't seen the episode yet where she acted as the retarded daughter.

maja came from a family of actors so acting is second nature to her. don't worry about learning the language. like i said, filipinos can learn a new language and accent in a snap.

Work gives Maja Salvador a natural high!

With the influx of new gadgets almost everyday, technology has become the latest high for young celebrities nowadays - latest 3G, higher megapixel camera and wi-fi mobile phones, hi–end laptops, plasma or led televisions, PS3 and Xbox 360 and blueray disc players – these can all make any youngster get high. And easy money from showbiz is the easiest way to access such "tech–high." Unfortunately for the 17year old dramatic actress on the rise, her natural high is not found on any gadget or even her fame. For Maja Salvador, her jobs, whether on television or movies has constantly been her natural high!


"I really get sad when I’m not working. But you can ask the staff of any movies or series I’ve worked in and they’ll tell you that even in the wee hours of the mornings I’m still energetic. I’m really high because I really like working and I enjoy it," she blurted out ecstatically.

One of the movie projects she worked on with much energy is her upcoming movie for Star Cinema, "First Day High" where she plays Pre or the so-called "Sosy High," the daughter of a rich businessman and who lives a princess-like lifestyle. And her energy translated well on the big screen as her fans and moviegoers would be treated to a different kind of Maja Salvador - sophisticated, social climber, always the center of attraction and very fashionable!

"This was really a challenging role for me because I couldn’t relate at all to my character. It’s totally my opposite especially the clothes Pre wears and the way she talks. I only shop in ‘tiangges’ in Greenhills unlike Pre and I’m very down to earth," she related.

For her role, she had to add kinkiness to the way she talks and make her character sound so flirty. She even had her eyes rolling to different directions and always looking so charming to bring out "Sosy High’s" persona on the screen.

"It was really hard to look gorgeous all the time in ‘First Day High.’ I play someone who is ‘sosyal’ in high school only to find out that there are more ‘sosyal’ people in college. So my goal was to be like them. I was very ambitious in this movie that I didn’t realize it became detrimental to me and my friends. I became a bad girl in this movie," she lamented.

She took on the role because it was a break from her usual dramatic roles wherein the public would always see her crying in breakdown scenes. She also liked the idea of dressing-up well and fashionably for a change.

"I was also worried that moviegoers might get irritated with my character in the film. I guess that’s why director Mario Cornejo still gave me some crying scenes to put balance to how the public knows me and my new character here...there are some twists to my character here and you can describe me here as a naïve society girl," she described.

According to her, one of her more exciting scenes in "First Day High" was her drunkdancing. There was also a scene where she was supposed to run naked but was prevented by Jason or the so-called "Nice Guy High" played by Maja’s latest loveteam, Jason Abalos.

Jason Abalos is the fourth young male actor that’s paired with Maja Salvador in showbiz. The more recent one was John Wayne Sace who figured in a neighborly squabble recently. There was also John Prats, her dancing partner, and then Raver Cruz.

Maja was actually surprised that the network management gave her another loveteam partner. She recalled that it all started when she did an episode with Jason Abalos for "Maalaala Mo Kaya." During their taping days, their chemistry together were already hailed to be strong. Before she knew it, Jason Abalos was already her new loveteam!

"We are a new love team but it wasn’t pushed in this film...for me I just follow my managers because they know better about my career...it’s sad because John Wayne is also a good actor. At the moment we’re at the stage of getting to know each other well as a loveteam and as friends," she shared.

Among the four actors, it is John Prats whom he is still close to because they’ve been friends for more than a year already. And according to her, everytime they see each other at the set of "ASAP," they still hang out as friends.

"John is my closest loveteam partner. I’m still getting to know Jason. I know that he is more at ease with his past loveteam mate Angelica Panganiban. Jason and I are still working on our tandem to work," she quipped.

Penned by Jade Castro, "First Day High" focuses more on the loveteam of Pinoy Big Borther Teen Edition housemates Kim Chiu (as Indi or "Brainy High") and Gerald Anderson (as MJ2 or "MVP High). The film is about friendship and how friends turn into lovers like Indi and MJ2. Indi, who is FDHU’sbrightest student is also the recepient of the National Award for Most Oustanding Student. Her only flaw is that she always explains things including love. While MJ2 is the younger brother of MJ1 (Miguel Johnson Ramirez) the campus star player he is trying to emulate or be at par with. Also in "First Day High" is Geoff Eigenman as Gael or the so-called "Rebel High" who’s been putting himself through college thru odd jobs.

Though she stopped her schooling, Maja could still relate to the nittygritty of an academic life like in "First Day High." She still has hopes of continuing her education and earning a degree someday but her prioty remains to be her showbiz career.

"I can’t say that life is unfair to me just because I’m not in school. I was given this opportunity and I had to take it. God gave this to me so I can’t say that I’m frustrated I’m not in school. I do read books and I know that I’ll still have the opportunity to go back to school someday. It’s just that everytime I want to enroll or take an entrance exam a movie or TV project would come that would deter my plans. But what’s important is that I always have projects whether for television or movies. These are my blessings and I’m very thankful," she expressed.

Turning 18 on Oct. 5, Maja’s wish is to have more projects so she could achieve her dream of buying her family their own house. This is also the reason she’s been working hard. She is also greatful with the bonus she received from the multi-million success of Chito Roño’s "Sukob."

And if ever she looks radiant and beautiful, it is also because of her jobs. It wouldn’t be surprising then if the next big project for this young lass is soap opera she’ll star in!

This is kelsii, at your service, a devoted fan of Taiwanese dramas and I had been receiving translated versions of some Chinese articles lately about Exchange Love but when my friend who could read Chinese tried to search for the news in Sina, some of them could not be found.

My advice for you is not to trust these news immediately and take them in simply as a rumor. We could only depend on these news once an official press conference with the actors and the management is to be done, but as nothing official is released except for the translated articles, nothing should be taken seriously. Because I myself tried to ask for help from my friend to look it up (since I lack the time…) and she said she didn’t found any of the news which are credited to Sina in the official website of Sina itself. Nor has she found any similar articles. Nor had been reliable articles about Maja Salvador, Arron Yan nor Agnes Monica related to Exchange Love had been found so I cam to the conclusion that the news posted have the huge possibility of being unreliable and false.

The best thing to do is not consider anything as “facts” until we see it materialize on the showbiz news on TV. Anything written on print could be considered false. But my friend relied that she saw the article of Rainie where Joe was mentioned so that could be a bit reliable but we should still practice vigilance and not swallow anything fed upon us until there is ‘professional’ confirmation. As you can see, I had started posting disclaimers on the news to prevent spreading of this “unconfirmed” news to prevent any damage or wrong information to anyone.

Sorry for the inconvenience and hoping to clear things up as I had received the email from my friend who tried to look it up on Sina. Even I was a bit shaken since it’s a bit early right now where I live. Who knows, maybe there’s still a chance that it would still be Mike and Rainie after all *wink*.

wow. that is like...one of the creepiest acting I saw, she was awesome! I was slowly becoming an Agnes convert and this came.

not every actor could portray someone with celebral palsy because...it's d*mn hard. and the series actually has ENGLISH SUBTITLES! so I had an easier time watching...

but she did it! and she's only 17! omg and not only did she do it....she did it and gave her performance justice. for a moment i didn't saw the maja people here were talking about but maja --- the actress you were praising. At first, I thought Agnes was prettier... in the picture up top, she looks a tad bit like Rachel Bilson + Rainie Yang rolled into one, which was adorable. I really don't care for her usual wild, over-the-top make-up, though.

Anyway, although Agnes would have an advantage because she can speak/understand some Chinese, I kind of feel that Maja is better for the role. She seems really versatile... and she can definitely act cutesy, too, which we all know that the Taiwanese love, LOL. But at the same time, if she has crying scenes, I'm sure she'd be really convincing. I dunno; I really think her sort of wholesome, natural beauty (which grows on you, although I wasn't like WOW when I first saw her picture) will do well in the Chinese market.

I have to say I'm disappointed in the change of script, though. I mean, I know that this way a non-Chinese actress can be brought in, but for some reason, I thought the idea of having a pork bun seller as the protagonist was nice... it's a nice change from the school setting. as far as i remember maja salvador was discovered by a talent agent while shopping in a mall w/ her mom and eventually did a cover in a teen magazine.then had her tv debut i think 2? years ago in a tv drama entitled "Hiram".

she's simply amazing...

No, Maja Salvador (if I'm not mistaken) actually hailed from a very rural Philippine province called Aparri. She's not a city girl to be honest, she's actually a provincial lass and I saw gher on tv, she's one of the humblest stars you'll see...she's not the "sure! i'll sign you an autograph even if I'm doing a zgaillion things" type of nice....she was genuinely nice. She takes time to actually to talk to people (not only her fans) and she's not fake. When she's out of the mood, she would politely say that she's not ok.

Even during phtoshoots, the staff are always awed by the fact that she never fails on bringing food for everyone and lets them eat before work starts. Maja is also known as one of the few stars who is easily contented...she always says that she doesn't strive for perfection, but she perseveres for excellence. She's not really the type to aim high...she always says that she works because it is her passion, it helps support her family (she's the breadwinner!) and it makes people happy.

From the articles I read, it is also the same reason why she is getting lots of big breaks right now, because she has good attitude.

just a clarification.as of press time, RAINIE YANG will be acting in the series EXCHANGE LOVE.

I tell you Maja is a very good actress and dancer. I haven't seen her singing since I haven't been able to check on the tv, I'm in US now and we don't have that TFC..but she is really a very very very good actress and versatile. And aside from that, I didn't actually thought that she dances so good and very naughty..what I'm mean by naughty is that.. she's not just an ordinary dancer..but she can dance those sexy moves out there..and I was like wow!! I haven't seen a better Philippine Actress-Dancer but her..

Well, this is a Brief about Indonesian teen superstar Agnes Monica:
Agnes has been in showbiz industry since she was 3 years old. Since then she’s been collecting more than 30 awards (national & international) in acting and singing. She went to record company when she was 3 years old and became a host when she was 10, and received best child TV host at the time. Her first drama came up when she was 12 and she won her first Best Actress award at age 13. No one doubt her awesome skills in singing, acting and dancing, that’s why people tout her as the most multitalented teen artist in Indonesia.
She’s also famous in Malaysia, Singapore, and Brunei and among Dutch-Indo in Netherlands. Her songs often notch number 1 in their music charts while her dramas constantly become the favorites among neighbor countries. Her profile has been written on Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand mags. On MTV Asia Awards 2004 she was the youngest artist of all nominees in Asia. Her first teen album was released when she was 17 and it sold 300,000 copies in 3 days. Her albums always got platinum so far. On the second one she collaborated with Keith Martin from Boyz II Men.
When she chose to follow the Japanese street style/Harajuku style in every performances which is uncommon in Indonesia, a lot of people think she turns to become controversial artist, they hardly accept the transformation of a sweet innocent little girl to a rebel-like teen. Agnes confessed she’s very proud to be the only Indonesian artist who got role in the biggest drama series in Taiwan recently, Bai Se Ju Ta a.k.a “The Hospital” directed by Cai Yue Xun (Meteor Garden director). In the series that took place at the hospital she played with F4 member, Jerry Yan.

“Acting in The Hospital was crazy, practically in every scene I had to cry,” said Agnes. She said her acting got special praise from Jerry Yan. “He approached me and asked: how do you act like that? I must learn from you as honestly I can’t do that so well”.

Flattering comment not only came from Jerry Yan, but also from the director Cai Yue Xun. “He said, ‘I’ve been working with so many artists and you’re one of the finest’. After all the hard work, I was like being poured by cool water,” said her.

Before ‘The Hospital’ Agnes has got a role in Chinese TV drama ‘Romance in the White House’ with Peter Ho, which took place in Shanghai. The media of Shanghai called her as ‘Young Queen of Sky that has sweeter smile than Jang Nara’, a Korean actress who was by chance in Shanghai at the same time.
The director Albert Lai said if there’s any other opportunity to work with Agnes again, he wanted giving her a role like Vicky Zhao’s character in Princess Huan Zhu because Agnes charming-pleasant and witty reminded him a lot of that princess.

Peter Ho and Huo Ya Ming also gave respect on her acting and her voice after watching the VCD of Agnes Live Performance on TV. “She is a superstar!” praised Peter after finding about her career history in Indonesia. “She’s been 13 years in the showbiz and I can’t be compared to her”, he said.

During the shooting Agnes applied Mandarin she had particularly learned. “Mandarin is really hard. If you could imagine the hardest, that’s it. The hardest language ever! The conversation is so crazy, very hard.” But she committed to keep studying the language up till now since she resolved to advance the ability in foreign languages. Besides Mandarin, Agnes at the moment is studying Japanese as well.

If she's a Malaysian.. she cannot appear in shorts or dance body-contact with the dancers on live or recorded television regardless if it's on astro (pay TV station like TIVO). This is due to the makcik-makcik (old ladies) are the main viewers of Astro Ria. They are so spitful (you heard me) (due to.. well, they have nuthin' to do at home) until you could see venom shooting out from their mouths.
They love gossips. They love Melodi. They loveeee Akademi Fantasia (American Idols/Brothers rip offs). They worship Mawi and.. Ina (a pathetic being created first hand by God).

If Agnes a Malaysian.. Hahahaha.. Siti Nurhaliza or ehem, Datin Siti Nurhaliza gonna have tough time competing with her. Especially on choreography.

Actually now is the right time for Agnes or Nez to push her popularity among the Malaysian youths because they really in need for a bad girl image icon as they have fed up with the good girl image potrayed by Siti Nurhaliza and ended up with Datuk K.

Agnes is young and vibrant, pretty and cute too just like Siti and that's what the Malaysian youths wants. Someone that could add up or beat Siti's popularity. Even though Siti won plenty of awards(domestic/international) for her songs and vocal, Agnes is very near to Guiness that up!

I have spotted some Malaysian youths wearing baseball caps written 'AGNES MONICA' front cap and 'SITI BLEH BLAH' behind of the cap (that's how I got the idea for my ID). And that is a good sign.. (well, NOT for Siti! Hahaha) Thanks to the radio stations for airing 'Tak Ada Logika' and catchy track 'Bilang Saja'. And oh, that famous 'Tanpa Kekasihku' blows me down completely!

Agnes.. you have the chance to make a huge, very huge name in the world. Sure, you have to sacrifice a lot but look at this way, million of years to come, when you gone, people still remembers and pray for you and your soul. You could be a legend maybe a myth. Whatever movies they make of you, even exaggeration is beyond comprehension, you will be remembered and note this.. loved. Bet you on that, luv. hm...I can see that noth of this girls are great. I mean, both of them definetly have different styles. Look at their dance style. From what I see, Agnes is dancing n singin. but Maja has a lot in dancing and using others song. None of them are bad. Its just a personal choice matter.

But still, I will choose Agnes Monica. She has the different styles...and she seem to be able to adapt in every style she choose. She dare to speak up whatever in her mind. I remember once she said in an interview. The question was why she still keep her study well. Then she answered : Because I dont want to be an actress with no brain. Surprising anwer? yes.
