steven blows the flute to meet tavia--supposedly to create romance, but turns out to be hypnotic (the title)

the other day, steven and tavia were in tseung kwan o's tv city filming outdoors (?). the story said steven will play the flute so that he can meet tavia (it's their first meeting). it's supposed to be a very romantic scene, but 'un-romantic' tavia, instead of feeling the romance, felt it's like a hypnotic tune (the flute tune). really a big mistake in a nice pic (well not the exact translation, but perhaps you get what i mean here)

the story said steven and tavia had already communicated for a long time, but they still haven't each other personally. so that day, they will meet up in 1 place, and will recognize each other by steven playing his flute. this is supposed to be a romantic scene, but during filming that day, the weather is very hot and the artists were wearing thick costumes, plus the script is quite poetic---because of this, tavia, who had been quite dizzy and ill that time, felt so sleepy and claims that the flute tune is hypnotic and causing her to want to sleep....causing steven to feel embarrassed

it's the first time the two worked together and play as a loving couple, supposedly they should be acting loving, but unfortunately steven gave tavia a gift by making her fall in water. tavia shared, 'that day we were filming at the peak of mt fei eh. it's okay steven fell into the water, but he don't have to push me to fall!' hearing this, steven blushed and defended, 'well that time, i see the ground is wet and slippery, so i good heartedly supported tavia's back so that she won't slip, but i didn't expect i will lose my balance and fall first facedown (well on front)...' 'i didn't expect that because of my love for her, it will ended up hurting her'

perhaps steven only wants to make up with tavia, after defending himself, he immediately praised tavia by saying, 'tavia is a very good actress. during the filming of one emotional scene, tavia managed to get into the character quickly. she is one of the newcomers that is really good. (what abt sonija?) i have little scenes with her, but i think so far so good. we are co-workers.'

tavia is very happy to hear steven's praise, but she is very worried abt her upcoming trip to mainland to film. 'i heard the climate there is negative degrees...i think i must bring a lot of clothes then!'




Sparks fly between Steven and Tavia despite sub-zero temperatures

Steven Ma and Tavia Yeung have been filming for Land of Wealth in Heng Tian, China. With temperatures dipping to -3 degrees, the two stars were forced to hug each other for warmth. Some guys just get all the luck.

The duo act as a couple in this show. In one of the scenes, Tavia is captured by some bandits, and in his solo bid to save her, both of them fall into the bandits’ trap, and are buried alive.
Steven said that the scene was extremely difficult to film. “As it was below 3 degrees, we were so cold that we had to hug each other for warmth, even though we were wearing diving suits underneath. And as we had to be buried in a 7 feet hole in the ground, the crew had to keep dumping sand to cover the hole. The sand kept getting into my eyes and it hurt a lot.”

During this filming process, Steven admits that there has been sparks between Tavia and himself. “Of course there would be sparks,” he said. “Tavia is an easy-going, smart and warm girl, and among TVB’s newest fa dans, she is the one that I admire the most.” And Tavia says that she has had a great time filming with Steven. Because he can be quite mischievous when playing, Tavia has nicknamed him “Crazy guy”.

steven and tavia are both very very good actors. tavia and benny's chemistry was already a big hit here of AF, i already have liked them very much. but i think that i will like ST better because they both have some powerful emotions that they can potray.

I haven't seen them so can't comment just yet but looks wise I like them together (not to the extent of Fungyi or TR but still...)

I heard Tavia ends up marrying moses...that true?

Both have great acting skills, so I believe their chemistry will be beautiful in "Land of Wealth"! Btw, Tavia looks very pretty in those pictures!

I can't wait for this series to be released.

From the pics so far, Steven and Tavia looks really compatible and Steven is one of the actors I actually liked. So it should be quite interesting to see the both of them creating sparks.

i've been excited about this pairing ever since they announced the cast for Land of Wealth. not only do they look good together, but i think they will have great chemistry together as well..
plus, i think the love stories in LoW is supposed to be quite dramatic

hey i'm planning to watch Land of Wealth because of those two! its kinda weird cause i dont like ancient series that much but i'm gonna make LOW an exception because of steven and tavia! i like both of them and i'm pretty much looking forward to watching their chemistry on screen!

To be truthfully honest the plot doesnt seem that captivating but as soon as I saw pictures of Steven and Tavia together, I can see the sparks fly between them so I'm definitley watching this and see the chemistry they are to show us.

YEA!!! I love both Tavia and Steven!! Can't wait to watch it... But some postings here sound like it'll be a sad ending... :'( I don't like sad ending... :sigh: But I'll still watch it!!!

Their clothings look big and heavy though, poor them.

I haven't seen Tavia in a series for a while.. and recently saw Steven in Safe Guards.. he rocked! I can't wait to see this series.. I think there will be good chemistry between Tavia and Steven.. not sure about Tavia and Moses though.. since there is supposed to a love triangle.

Tavia looks so pretty in the pics lolx... yea, i really liked Benny and Tavia's pairing even through their age gap... hope Steven and Tavia will be just as great

Moses + Tavia doesn't sound as great though... im pretty sure Tavia looks great with anyone (especially if she was able to pull it off with Adam) but Moses just doesnt seem right with Tavia... i unno maybe i should watch the series before judging

Well i can't really say i like this ciuple yet. But i would love to see the series. I am a fan of Tavia and i love to see her with new co-star but i never really like Steven's acting. Oh well looking forward to this series and let see if i would like this pairing or not

I've been waiting for an unexpected coupling like this.......... and i'm very impressed with TVB this time..... i think Tavia and Steven will definitely hit it off............. awwwwwwww they are so close and sooooooooo cute!!!!!! I might actually love them after this series!!!!!!!!! lol!

It's great to see that Steven is back............ and that he is actually with a girl that can act...... unlike his stupid pairing in Safe Guards.............*cough cough* ............. anyways, sparks will definitely fly once this series is out........... FOR SURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I do see the sparks in the pictures espeically the one where Tavia hugs Stevens. It takes place in a snowy area I'm guessing. That should make things more romantic. Steven always gets along with his co-stars maybe that's the reason why he always have so much chemistry with them. I look forward to this pairing. They match look-wise even more so than Fungyi IMO.

Just wanted to add another comment on here asking when "Land Of Wealth" actually comes out??? I know that "Face to Fate" and "War and Destiny" is coming out really soon.................... hmmmmmmm i wonder when this comes out, because i am dying to see the chemistry between Tavia and Steven!!!!!

I heard that it won't be a good ending for them though............... and apparently Tavia also gets paired with Moses..............

Anyways, can't wait until we see another blossoming couple!

Geez. Theses picture of them together are beyond cute. I can already picture the sprarks and chemistry they're gonna share. Steven's matched perfect with all his co-stars.... Maggie, Linda, Charmaine [sadly, her too], Elaine, Ada, Bondy, Sonija............ I bet he and Tavia will definitely outshine Moses and Sonija.

These two are my favorite actors and actresses at TVB, thus you can tell how excited I am to know that they're gonna be acting as a pair in LOW.

But I heard something about a sad ending for them? HOW GAY IS THAT?!

You know that plot reminds me of Ray and Mich in EH...I want a swap sometimes haha Mich and Steve, Ray and Tavia...works too!

LOL. Except Michelle doesn't play the zither in EH. Not really keen on seeing Michelle and Steven but then again I am not a fan of her.

That aside its seems like the flute and zither is the most overused instrument in ancient dramas. i rarely see any characters in a drama playing Pipa or Erhu.

yeah she did!!!! remember? Ray was playing the flute and Mich fell in love with the person playing the flute and thought it was the mongolian guy Joe? and she played along with the flute using her zither? they did a combo scene at the end too! That's why I thought the storyline was copying EH~

but in EH...Tavia was the more talented with embroidery and the zither...hahaha Ray should just take her there lol

oh...i sooo want to watch LOW just for stevia...too bad the ratings are so mediocre...i hope it picks up so that more hk audience will pay attention to this series and then tvb will make another series wtih stevia and hopefully give them a happy ending (since i've given up on all hopes for a good fungyi ending).
