Short Bio
Terence Yin was born in 1975 in Hong Kong to a movie-director father and a famous-actress mother. He acted in a few films as a child, then immigrated to the United States with his family in 1982, and studied rhetoric at the University of California at Berkeley, only to return to Hong Kong when a Taiwanese record company offered him a singing contract. Thinking he would launch a career in singing, Yin was offered his first movie just three months after returning to Asia, and by the time his first album was released, he had already done several films and decided to focus on acting.

Terence Yin is a Chinese-American actor who hails from Phoenix, Arizona. Terence's mother is Jenny Hu, one of the Shaw Brothers' top dramatic actresses in the late 60's and early 70's. He came to Hong Kong to puruse a career in acting and he made his film debut in 1998. He played the villain Alien in the sci-fi action film Hot War. In the film, Yin spoke both English and Cantonese. He would go on to appear in a vareity of roles, from the gangster Tooth in Gen-X Cops to the psychotic Night in Bullets of Love. In 1999, Terence released an album, Determined. This has been the only album Terence has released so far. With his good singing skill, maybe he should try to release another album...when time permits. Meanwhile, Terence has continued acting, even making his international debut as Simon Yam's brother in the sequel Lara Croft, Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life as well as appear in the final installment of Takashi Miike's Dead or Alive trilogy. He also plays one of the Gang of Five in the action packed New Police Story.

CRED: Megspace

Always support Terence shame not alot of people knw him.

some info bout terence:
Terence Yin characterizes the new breed of Asian-American actors who are making a splash in Hong Kong. Yin shares the same management (JC Group) with Daniel Wu, Maggie Q, and Edison Chen. His peers (who also include Stephen Fung, Lee Ann, Amanda Strang and Jaymee Ong) have more than their Western upbringing in common- they're frequent co-stars and personal friends. Unlike the others, Yin has developed a knack for playing villainsin a string of youth oriented HK pictures. Terence has a unique genetic connection to HK cinema as well. His mother is former Shaw Brothers star Jenny Hu, a lovely dramaticactress whose heyday was in the 60's and 70's.

Terence made his film debut in Yonfan's gay drama Bishonen (1998). Yin's work has included drama, action and triad genre roles, almost all supporting. His first starring credit was inJamie Luk's 2000 romance Home Sweet Home, followed by lead roles in triad films Gold Fingers and Mist in Judge, opposite Ti Lung. Terence released his first album, Determination, in 2000, and took modelling jobs. As his career took shape, a few of his films were set in Japan or featured Japanese cast members- (Final Romance, Bullets of Love, and Color of Pain). In fact, Yin has deliberatelydeveloped a Japanese following, like recording a Japanese version of one of his albums. He has also co-starred in two of Takashi Miike's movies- City of Lost Souls and Dead or Alive Final. Terence Yin plays Simon Yam's younger brother in Paramount's summer blockbuster Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life, and co-stars in Jackie Chan's New Police Story as yet another villain.

He was mean to Daniel in Bishonen when he became famous. The kissing scenes looked fake though. But he's got a nice body. Got a sinister smirk also. Some might find it charming? :lol?:

Gosh, I started to take note of him in 'Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Cradle of Life' in 2003. I watched Gen-X Cops and Skyline Cruisers and thought that he was a real meanie. LOL! However, he looks great in 'Lara Croft', though it's only a small role. Nonetheless, in 'New Police Story', as the loudest, our-spoken and red-headed 'Fire'. I should say the character suits him. He was in Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur) last month promoting the latest Taiwanese drama series, together with Linda Chian Wei-San (ex-host for 'Fashion Walker')

Yep, he is my favourite villain...Haha...LOL!

Oh, may I know is there any website of him? It's hard to find it these days cos' not many know about him, besides his basic profile...Thanks in advance...

Regards with love,
SweetieClare...

Can someone please post some of his pictures please? Thanks. I like him! Oh and what's this new series he is in? I am curious. I would love to see him play a sweet nice guy in a romantic story even though I love him as a villian.

Anyone have any really good pics of Terence? I've been trying to find some of him to make a banner, but it's pretty hard when there's only a limit of photos of him. So if anyone could help me out post some on here or give me some links, that would be great!

Excluding all from Alive.

Thanks! :hug :wasntme

1 in english cool...mando....darn...I was hoping for something in canto by him. But mando is pretty cool also but I don't have that good of a understand of mando yet. I'm getting there lol. ^_^'

same 2 songs, but just translated in different languages...cool!!!!

To upload you can do it through websites. Take rapidshare

it's http://rapidshare.de/
it's free

Then you are able to pick a file to upload by clicking on the browse button, then when you picked a file, you press the upload button, and it'll upload it. After it's done, it'll give you two links, 1 for people to go to the link to download the song, and 2nd one..ummm something about delete link...
The link doesn't expire, unless no one downloads from the link then it will expire.

To upload the cd onto your computer, if you have windows media player, the latest version which is 10. You just put in the cd, then pick the rip tab, it'll let you select which songs you want to upload onto your computer. then press rip music, somewhere to the top right corner, but not too far to the corner. and they will be automatically saved onto your computer where you keep all of your Mp3s mostly in your music folder. and it will also be saved onto your windows media player as well.

Any other players, like real player, I have no clue. never really used it. But I'm sure you can also upload cd music almost the same way. Hope it helps.

Andrew made terence look so old! He even ut those two little lines near his eyes! :loool:

I saw ddd last night. Terence was only in it for about 2 scenes :( His eyebrows made him look really weird :S

oh ya for those who wanted the "I DO" song in mp3 format here it is.

http://rapidshare.de...-_I_Do.mp3.html

unless there hasn't been a download in 30 days it will be deleted automatically, so I wont be uploading this again. It's a once in a lifetime offer lol.

lol tell me if the link works or not. if it says it's dead, then I wont re upload unless I get alot of people asking me to then I will.

1. Unrestained
2. Determined
3. I Do
4. Bad
5. Dreams or You
6. Well Matched
7. Unfamiliar Bed

Ya english in Chinese songs tend to do that to people...actually alot of people but once you get used to it, it's not really a big thing anymore or it wont be as annoying. Other wise the song is good the singing I mean. But the talking...could have been left out. But it was the producer who wrote it or whomever and Terences job was to sing it, so really no choice, unless he added it to the song and the producer let him.
Plus I read that this was his first job in the entertainment biz...then he started doing movies. Plus there's a japanese version of this cd. but it's not him singing.???..they just made a japanese version of it..how I have no clue, I don't even think he was clear about how they did it. Either that he couldn't really get it out clearly.

But on the other hand talking about music having english in it, the only band that I can think of that does it so GREAT is F.I.R. in "revolution". haha.....I'm a alternative rock freak by the way. ^_^'

lmao...HK rock scares the living crap out of me....lol no offence to my fav Jordan Chan, for all his romantic songs...but dang....it's scary stuff..US rock is better, but Asia has improved on their rock. Not alot but it's getting there lol. Still can't stand it...

As for Terences song...lol hmmm....ya...in some ways it's okay but in some ways the Alive one was better. Still waiting to see if he has any other good ones to listen to. Something that might surprise me. but then I don't know. ^_^'
