here are some clearifications

*Thanks to mod for editing my post and adding this

1) the assistant was driving the car, XWL was the passenger
2) car lost control and hit the mid section of the highway which divides inbound and outbound traffic.
3) car spun out and finally pulled to a stop on the other side of the highway
4) XWL thought it was safe for her to get out of the car and she unbuckled her seat belt
5) this is when the truck rear ended them and this is why she had severe injury whereas the assistant still had her selt belt on and suffer minor injury.. NOTE*THIS IS A DOWN HILL HIGHWAY. (this is my assumptioni... "the trucker if loaded with stuff cannot pull to a complete stop even if it wasn't speeding. also this was 5 oclock in the morning...")
6) apparently all cars that get rear ended don't deploy front airbags. the only reason the two side airbags came out was because the assistant hit the car by the side on the mid section
7) passerby-ers tipped off the police that they saw the car going 120km/h--130km/h and pass them. but minutes later they saw the car stopped again on the right side of the road not moving. at that time the back of the car didn't show any sign of a crash. they later found out that the car sat XWL when they saw the news at home

Edit: So XWL unbuckled her seatbelt... it probably all happened so fast that it was hard to tell what was the right thing to do at that time...

So sad... She was just at the wrong place and the wrong time... i feel so sad for her family and friends...

Thanks for the clearification on this... That's so sad that she took off her selt belt because she thought it was safe and because of that this tragedy happened...
So the assitant does not know that Wei Lun passed away yet?

i've read zai zai did visit her and stayed in the hospital for 20 mins.
he went through the back door of the hospital.

Wow, how incredibly unlucky that just right after she unbuckle her seatbelt, the truck rear-ended her car!!! Thanks for the clarifications, now it made sense that the assistant was okay but Wei Lun was not.

thx so much for clarifying everything..i'm starting to get the picture of what happened but i honestly hope the assistant wasnt speeding..if she did den the accident is her fault...but XWL RIP

so let me get this straight, the ASSISTANT was the one who lost control of the car in the first place and is thus accountable for the accident, and yet she/he SURVIVED WITH MINOR INJURIES??? fate can deal such a cruel hand sometimes...

and lost control of the car as in... the car slid because the road was icy... or what? unless it was snowing the only reason as far as i can see for why the car spung out of control was because the driver drove too fast

oh dear, that means if XWL has unbuckle her seatbelt a few minutes later, she wld have been alive. makes me feel sadder & sadder over such a tragic death. i also saw from tvbs news on 1/28 that the assistant was the one driving, they were heading back for filming of XWL's new drama.

it will be so hard for her family to accept such an unexpected & tragic death.

yes the assistant was driving. we dont' know if the driver was speeding or not from the current source. but we do know that when she hit a mid section of the highway her car bounce from the mid wall to the center of the highway then to the side of the highway. the road was not icy, but i'm guessing the driver has no experience and try to steer the car back into control but made it worst. this is my assumption. please don't take this for accountability

i think the truck driver may also be speeding. afterall ,it was quite late at night, if he's not driving fast, he wld have been able to see the car & avoid smashing into it by either switching lanes or braking to a stop.

oh, i see, its a downhill highway. so maybe XWL's car went out of control cld be caused by going too fast downhill or it cld be non-speeding but skidded on a oily patch or something on the highway.

anyway, i do rather pity the poor assistant if on top of the trauma of XWL's death, she will also be sued.

thanks for the clarifications! For sure she's definately a good person coz she has lots of friends & family supporting her. I just cant believe she passed away that fast and that young. She indeed is very pretty & i even wanted her to end with zaizai in love storm. Shes such a big lost for the industry,for her friends,fans & family. I hope her fans can recover with her lost coz i myself know the feeling of losing someone you idolize & served as their inspiration.

If this happened at 5am in the morning, how come I saw a picture of her posing in front of her mini cooper in broad day light and news mentioned that the picture was just taken 8 hours before the accident happen. If it was just 8 hours then shouldn't the accident happen at night then? I mean something must have happen for the car to spin out of control like that. The assistant should know since she was driving but she's probably in a state of shock right now not thinking straight.

By the way can someone help translate what that fortune teller guy said about her death?

fortune teller said soemthing about that the 1.28 day is bad and that the time of her death was also a bad time. those two assumptions were both bad. also on her facial appearance he can tell that a part of her bone on the face shows that she would be in a likelihood of a crash soon.

and still i don't think that pic of the mini cooper was taken 8 hrs ago.
