PLOT
The palace discovers the existence of a royal grandson living among commoners. In turns out that he have absolutely no clue about his identity. After he graduated from high school, he works as a delivery boy. He didn’t know until the palace invited him to come and he suddenly became a member of the imperial family in one night. Upon his entrance in the palace, he began his training. He will be groomed to become emperor. The inspiration for this plot came from the true story of the Joseon dynasty where a commoner became the emperor.

Se7en ~ Lee Hoo
His blood flows in a Royal family, but Lee Hoo doesn't know it. Not knowing that he's a prince, he works at a Chinese Restaurant as a delivery boy...delivering food in the palace. He looks at everything in a positive aspect and is an optimist by nature. Though he's in poverty (poor), he lives every day freely...but one day, something happens and it's the start of his life as a royal.

Heo Yi Jae ~ Yang Soon-Ae
Everyone in the neighborhood knows Soon-Ae as an impracticable girl. She thinks preciously of her fraternal twin. But one day, she finds out that Lee Hoo is the boy that she grew up with as a child, and they start their life's together in the palace.

Kang Doo ~ Lee Joon
To become a prince, he recieved training as a mastery elite. He's a great candidate. Lee Hoo's appearance makes Lee Joon get farther away from becoming a prince. He's a perfectionist.

Park Shin Hye ~ Shin Sae-Ryung
Honor and power, Sae-Ryung grew up in a wealthy family. She has never lost first place/spot at school (meaning she's very smart)...she has skills and the looks of becoming prince's wife. She always had the ambition of becoming a royal princess. However, the prince that she has always imagined of is completely different when she see's Lee Hoo's sudden appearance. A change comes to her way.

yeah i watched goong 1.5 and YEH said she vomited was because of "eating too much" haha so cuute but then how come in the final episode, at the very end there was pictures of CG+SHIN with this lil baby grl? xD
but anyway i cant wait till goog two comes out!!! so happy that YEH+JJH are going to act together again hehe can't wait to see the chemistry b/w those two =D they are a seriously REALLY cute couple together! hehehe

just finished epi.24 for the second time... im so addicted to this series that i cant wait for the next season...

i dont know how to read and speak korean but i hope some of the expected happenings in Goong 2 will be one of the following:

1. Shin & ChaeGyung have a baby (what if its a girl??)
2. ChaeGyung will return to Korea with Shin and he will take over his sister's position as King
3. the elders ask for Yul's return

im really really hook in this series!!! a lot of filipino viewers are excited to see this one and im sure it will be a high-rating show!!!

OH!! finally, i am so relieved that at least YEH and JJH agreed to the sequel, i was so worried that one of them might not be in this Goong 2
Hopefully, the rest of the casts can also agreed to the filming of Goong 2 ~*
Anyway, the idea of Shin's sis being the Queen is so cool, that I don't want Shin to be the King, maybe the plot can be more humorous as before

and i've been reading goong 2, written by fans and staff.... so, im really excited and hv been thinking of what might be happening in GOONG 2. so, i will wait, for season 2 to be released... dunno if CG will be pregnant anot leh.. if it is, den maybe goong 2 is all about their child and how Shin reacts?
so probably CG isnt pregnant.. hahaz.

I don't Know if i am right or not but at the end there was a pic with shin and cg and a baby girl.So I think she does have a baby.But I am not sure.

I dunno if tis information has been posted.. but it is expected to be on air on Feb 2007 in Korea.

GOON,GOON,GOON,...I just can't get over this series can't wait for season 2 ...thank goodness that CG&JJH will be in 2...they are so cute together .Especially CG,i didn't know she was such a good actress...I wonder if Kim Jung Hoon wil play as Yul again

I think there's a mistake. You see, Hyo-Rin isn't royalty, so Yul can't get involved in the regal matters because of her. As the profiles are for Goong 1, misprinting must be at fault.

WOw! I'm excited..!!!! SEASON 2!!!! is it really showing at feb 2007?? It will be so interesting to see if they have any new characters too..

I'm so HAPPY! I can't wipe this silly grin off my face. GRR, haha but yea..Now I just have to wait PATIENTLY for several more months which seem like a lifetime away. I hope Shin doesn't take over his sister's position, he wasn't meant to be King--Yul is though. We, the loyal fans of Korean drama series, Goong/ Princess Hours, would like to express our opinion on the main casts for Goong Season 2. Especially for the 2 main characters, Shin and Chae Gyung, who were played by Joo Ji Hoon and Yoon Eun Hye. Both of them captured the viewers・hearts through their brilliant performance. It will be very disappointing to know should Goong 2 replace all the original casts. Should this happen, we believe that Goong 2 will lack the support from us, the fans in Indonesia, China, Thailand, Singapore, Philippines, US, Malaysia, and Vietnam.

We request for PD Hwang and other relevant parties to consider and make their choice wisely in this matter as we would love to support Goong 2 as much as Goong 1. We praised the scriptwriter, director, producers, the production crews and the casts for the story plot, the beautiful set and scenery and the heart-warming performances. We fell in love with this wonderful drama because of you, the Director, MBC and Eight Peaks.

Joo Ji Hoon and Yoon Eun Hye had proven to all of us that there is hope in the new generation of Korean dramas like what media said. We yearn to see them again in Goong 2.

Bad News: Goong2 actors and actresses list is not confirm. The director said it is unlikely to get Yul, Shin and Chae to act in Goong2 together, as their value has gone up. If he get the 3 of them to act again, the total cost of production will go up. According to the newspaper, Chae has shown interest in acting again in Goong2 but the director is still deciding. So there might be a changed in the male and female lead.

Well i guess this news is reliable as it is reported on the newspaper.

well i think that all charactors should remain as they are, seeing fresh faces for the original actors and actresses seems kinda weird, if they replace yul or hyo rin or any other of the characters i might lose interest

I agree, if they gonna chg ALL the original cast, I think they better forget abt the SEQUEL as I think no one going to support unless those who never watch Goong1. Like Pearl Princess case (one of my favorite), Part 1 & 2 with the original cast maintain and some additional cast make the series more dramatic & interesting, keep on following till the end of episode. But, I'm not interested in Part 3 because ALL the original cast chg and it's kinda weird to hear the same name but different face. Anyway, I hope for the good news in latest update.
