Vanness Wu throws away F4 baggage; likes to be called Ren Guang Xi

Vanness Wu has been in the industry for 10 years, and has finally thrown away his F4 idol baggage, establishing his own personal characteristics. His performance in SETTV’s new drama ‘Autumn’s Concerto’ brings the audience to tears and begin to see him in a new light. Vanness said proudly: “In the past, when people saw me, they would say I’m ‘Meteor Garden’s F4, but now when I walk on the streets, people will point at me and say: you’re Ren Guang Xi from Autumns Concerto!”

Episode 6 was broadcasted last Sunday, and showed Vanness running out from his operating room to chase after Ady only to have her break his heart. When Ady watched the broadcast, she suddenly forgot she was the female lead, and as the story played out, she used up a whole packet of tissues. Ady invested a lot into her performance in the drama, but her good friend Shone An didn’t seem to show any appreciation, and even courageously said to her: “I don’t watch sad dramas, I prefer watching comedies.” Making Ady turn red with anger!

I'm really glad he could rid of his F4 image and bring out Ren Guang Xi. I know my perception of him prior to this was the guy who offers his coke to Jerry in MG. XD

I didn't really like him and Vic back in the Meteor Garden days cus their acting was a bit raw.

im glad for him. i cant wait til ep 6 is out in subs. relly anticipating it. this drama brings out his acting potential and the characterization makes a much better impression on me.

I love his acting, he mature a lot since F4, to me he in same league as ethan rhuan, blue zhan, joe cheng, ming dao, & ZZ but definitely better than jerry

For me, he is the most talented among F4, and one of the most versatile artist out there. He is the complete package.

A great dancer, an amazing singer/rapper,a wonderful stage performer, a gifted designer, and a remarkable actor. What more can you ask for?

I know I said this before , that he's very UNDERRATED. But now, no one can say that to him anymore. It was truly a blessing that he wasnt the most popular F4 member at the time when F4 was a phenomena. It is actually to his advantage that he emerge as the performer named -Van Ness, and not 'the F4 member.' He has made a name base on his own God-given talent & good looks, hardwork, discipline and perseverance, rather than rely on other people to be popular or rely on scandals/rumors. And success that's slow and steady are usually the ones that are stable and strong.

Way to go Van Ness! You truly are talented, and well-deserving of your success, especially now. A remarkable performer and human being. What amazes me also is when he said he would change- he definitely changed, not just in words, but in deeds, and he changed for himself-rather than for a certain person or people. Change is indeed effective when you do it for yourself and not for other people. A true character of a real man. 'Very happy for him.

As much as I love F4, I'm glad he was able to break from his idol image and be recognized for his talent.. I saw "small" previews of AC (not watching until the entire series is available online- I hate waiting) and his acting has improved much from his MG days. I really want to see the entire drama now it seems so interesting.
