지금은 가수로서 활발하게 활동하고 있지만 레이디의 멤버가 되기 전까지 데뷔 문턱에서 여러번 실패의 고배를 마셨다. 수많은 음반사에 데모 테이프를 보냈지만 좋은 결과를 얻지 못했다. 트랜스젠더라는 꼬리표가 가수 데뷔에 걸림돌로 작용했고 스스로도 그것에 대해 자격지심을 가졌다.
하지만 하리수의 성공을 거울 삼아 꿋꿋하게 도전을 이어간 유나는 트랜스젠더 그룹 레이디의 오디션 제의를 받은 끝에 가수로 데뷔했다.
레이디의 멤버가 됐지만 싱글앨범을 발매하기까지는 많은 어려움을 겪었다. 이전에 가졌던 창법과 댄스 스타일이 레이디의 컨셉과는 맞지 않았던 것. 과거의 습관을 버리기 위해 전문 트레이너로부터 교육을 받았고 스스로도 많은 노력을 기울였다.
유나의 음악에 대한 기본은 피아노 연주이다. 오랫동안 피아노를 배웠고 교회에서 반주를 할 정도로 연주를 잘한다. 또 클래식을 제외한 어떤 음악이던지 한번 들으면 바로 연주할 수 있을 정도의 실력을 갖췄다.
음악방송 무대에 처음 섰을 때엔 '실수라도 하지 않을까'라는 걱정에 조바심으로 가득 찼다. '녹화는 했지만 실제 방영에선 제외되는 것이 아닌가'라는 걱정도 들었다. 이런 걱정은 연습과 방송출연을 거듭할 때마다 그녀의 마음은 자신감으로 바뀐다. 
레이디로 활동하며 가장 기억에 남는 팬은 첫 번째 이메일을 보낸 고교생. "노래와 춤 모두 잘한다"며 "그러니 걱정하지 말라"는 등의 글로 용기를 실어 준 그 팬에게 감사의 마음을 전한다고.
유나가 레이디에서 어떤 모습으로 활약해 그룹 인기에 힘을 더해 줄지 그녀의 활약상이 기대된다.

Her specialty is playing the piano which she learned at her church; so she already had experience at performing in public. As a musician she progressed and became more capable; confronting both her singing career and personal life with confidence. She gets mail from high school students that tell her that she does very well singing and dancing and that she should not to worry. The feedback she receives gives her courage and when she writes back she thanks them. Lady and Yuna's popularity is growing.

lol.....so true, why are some people actually in love with transgender stars?....lol.....anyway, i think everyone has their own opinions. WoW I can't believe these guys can transform into someone that i've never thought of, i mean beautiful and sexy. Man, nowadays..... when you walk out in the street, you can't really tell if someone is a female or male, especially in Asia like Korea, Thailand and etc. Does anyone know if these guys change their vocal sound if it is possible?? Once again, i have to admit that these male or female which ever they are......... have gone through a really rough & dangerous surgery in order to look like the way they are right now and they are stunning!! "We love chocolate, shopping and gossip. Mentally we were always women, the only difference being that we changed something physical, simply we are women with an extra scar."

And Lady's agency is banking on this with the manufactured group.
In fact the decision to create a transgender quartette is already reaping a marketing pay off.
It's hard to believe that the members of lady aged 22 through 29 had to compete with other transgender contenders in an audition, where they say, almost 400 other showed up for their shot at fame.
