Yup! Which I think Qapint set the counter up awhile back and I was like having a countdown thing along it! (Although not on purpose but when you have nothing to do, you just couldn't help but do a countdown, lol) If he's really out, lying low is good but I'm getting bored. And talking about that, I swear people are such stalkers - I wonder if Jacky does take the time to read EVERY single message on his blog 'cause that would like "Good luck, man!" thing.

【黃哲民、賴泰銘、王煒博╱台北報導】吸食大麻的「183CLUB」前成員祝釩剛,昨天傍晚結束47天勒戒獲釋,他穿著印有斗大「HATE」(恨)字樣T恤走出台北看守所,由於沒有親友來接送,顯得有點孤單。稍晚,他跟媽媽相約行天宮拜拜除晦氣,他說:「我不知道我還有沒有資格讓社會大眾再給我一個機會?」

祝釩剛昨天重獲自由後說:「這段期間看了10幾本書,不斷思考反省,覺得自己犯下這種錯太不值得,媽媽每次來會客都淚流滿面,更讓我慚愧。」
他表示,在看守所裡已聽說蕭淑慎再次吸毒被逮,舍房主管也以蕭淑慎為例,勸導他千萬別再犯,他昨天堅定地說:「就算毒品擺在我面前,也不會再碰了。」

在看守所孝一舍接受勒戒的祝釩剛說,放風時曾遇到力霸案被收押的王令台與王令僑,王令台還告訴他:「當人走到最低點的時候,就是開始要往上爬的時候。」勒戒前曾表示想退出演藝圈的他感慨:「灰心一定有,但更怕自己給家人帶來壓力和羞恥。」接著又說:「我想先沉澱一下。」

他完成勒戒並未事先告知父母,祝釩剛在搭車返家路上忍不住打電話給媽媽,母子相約到行天宮拜拜,媽媽沉默話不多,但看得出對兒子仍是充滿了愛與期待,引導他去拜拜,自己拈香時也非常虔誠,並請廟方婆婆替他收驚,母子才一同返家。

The article basically said that Jacky was released last evening after 47 days in rehab. And afterward he called his mom and both of them went to this temple to pray...

He's out! Looks like he's lost weight...and there's something different in his face (probably just relief to finally be back in the real world). My, you're quite observant! (I declare you #1 Fan! *runs*) And yes, you're right. I think it's better if he takes some times off aka do something to cheer himself up and get a "reality check" before he do anything. But then again, like you said, he might surprise with something else.

I first notice about his release 'cause someone post a "congrats" message on his blog. So I ran here to check. Glad he's back now.

i agree with you qapint and dtlct i think in the photos jacky looks pale and thin
i have my doubts about a rehab program where maybe they didnt get much sun or much exercise I think it was more of a prison than a treatment centre

i think jacky had a lot of courge tho to face up to the reporters and cameras at what must have been a vunnerable moment when he just got out

Yes, though I'm really glad we got pictures with the article, I'm not so keen on how they were taken. It looks like the paparazzi were camped out in front of the rehab centre, waiting for him to come out (they may have had inside info about when he'd be discharged, or they may have been there for days just waiting to get lucky). I remember an old article saying Jacky's mum was "of little exposure" (aka reclusive when it comes to the media -- can't blame her), so the whole pciture taking thing while they're praying must have been trying. All in all though, calling his mum and then going to pray can't be bad for his post-rehab image.

i showed my friend from beijing the article shiro401 so kindly posted and he translated a few other juicy bits from the article We had some problems sometimes i didn't know the enlgish names of the people he was talking about and he only knew the chinese names

here goes:

On nov 30 Jacky was released about 6 pm wearing a T-shirt with a big HATE on it Surprisingly no one was there to pcik him up and he looked lonely
at night on the way home (?) he rang his mother and set a time with her to go to a temple
When he was talking to his mother he said, 'I am not sure whether the public (fans) will give me another chance to come back.'

He said that during the 47 days in rehab he had read about ten books He also did a lot of soul searching. And he thinks he made a big mistake, and that it [smoking marijuana] wasnt worth it Everytime when his mother came to visit him in the rehab centre she was in tears this made him feel even more regretful

while he was in rehab her heard that lily hsiao [NOT elva] was back in rehab again and he made a determination, 'I will never touch drugs again even if they are right in front of me'.

There were two guys with the surname Wang in rehab [brothers? famous??] and one of them encouraged him by saying 'When you are in a trough in your career that's when you start to come up.'

Jacky said he had the determination to come back but he wanted to sink for awhile

Jacky's mother took him to the temple to pray while they were praying his mother was silent but very intent and serious about her prayers and so was Jacky Then they went home together

Yes, thank you for translating, Vanadia. But before you post it anywhere else, I have to say that 蕭淑慎 is not Elva Hsiao at all... but some (obscure?) actress/model named Lily Hsiao... who loves to wear very little clothing. It's just that... several months ago, someone made the same mistake while translating, and Elva's fans were a little upset... since she wasn't the one going to Rehab.

Well, I am a little unsure about that T-Shirt, but... I think the rest of the article makes it sound as though Jacky is serious about turning over a new leaf and starting over, which I definitely applaud him for. I'm glad that he didn't act like the "typical" entertainer in Rehab... who just waits for the day of release... and tries to sneak forbidden items in (*cough American entertainers cough*). It looks like he definitely took it very seriously...
Personally, I am really happy that he faced rehab with such a good attitude... and knowing that makes me want to support him even more. I believe in second chances... especially when the person is so sincere. (Plus, Jacky's voice is still love.)

Although... as some of you already mentioned, the reporter "knowing" what Jacky was saying to his mother? That's either pure embellishment... or they have NO respect for other people's privacy.

Or maybe both.

My friend who is sometimes wiling to translate is only the accountant at my work and he doesnt follow popular entertainment and know all the stars so sometimes we get it wrong

my theory about the reporters overhearing Maybe while they were hanging around while jacky was waiting to be picked up they asked him some questions Or sometimes i think the paparazzi take photos and then make up a story to go with them

Hey guys, I guess I'm a little behind on the news. I was horribly upset to find that Jacky was no longer in 183 Club. Also to hear that he had gone to rehab. Was it just for marijuana use? I guess being an American, I didn't think a substance like that would warrant more than a few days in rehab, much less 47 whole days. I hope that he's well, and that he can start a career as a full-fledged musician, rather than member of a highly publicized idol band. Maybe it will give him a chance to expand his musical horizons and use that great talent of his! Don't get me wrong, I love the boys in 183 Club, but rather than look at Jacky's departure as a negative, I like to think positively about his future career!! Jia You, Jacky! If he does go solo, maybe I'll get to see him next year when I head over to teach in Taiwan!

LOL! I like him with Wei Ru the best too! LOL! But was just doing the banner 'cause I got some inspirations, lol. I did 2 Xanga layouts of him & Wei Ru so far, plus a banner (okay and an MV + a fanfic too, lol). I love them in Call My Name together. Like their voices together. It's really nice. Anyway, back to the layouts, I lost some inspirations so need to go listen some more stuffs before I can find 'em again to do some more layouts of him & Wei Ru! LOL! I usually click on 回應 first to read others' comment before replying to the post, but you can just click on the button w/ the pencil icon next to it. I think it said "I want to reply" but not totally sure. That's the basic idea though. Then it transfers you to the page with the reply box, just go ahead and type your message. There are 2 options you can click - Public (公開回覆) or Private (隱�回覆) - whichever you prefer. If you don't mind others reading, click Public. If you want to keep it so only Jacky can read, click Private. (Just basic but I want to go ahead and say it anyway, lol) When you're done with typing in your message, there are 2 buttons on the bottom, click on the left one. It leads you to the page where you have to type in the confirmation code. After you type in the confirmation code, you should see three buttons below that - click on the one on the left.
