Jacky is not born in America, he grew up in Vancouver, Canada. His start in the entertainment business began when he entered a singing contest in Vancouver and got a good score. He got to know some producers over there, and ended up giving up on his academics and returned to Taiwan. I'm thinking his singing is the best because he got his start as a singer first.

His family's in the bicycle business in Taiwan (so very well-to-do). His older brother is also in the company (I'm assuming he meant J-Stars) and is a producer there.

I actually searched the forum to see if he got back into 183 because I was just on the jstars website and I saw his picture and profile still there... I know jstars is all about the "let's not tell the fans/public for a little while" but I think it's been quite a long time since he's left... and it's even been a long time since the fans/public has known about it.

Maybe they're just too lazy to update? but the site is so snazzy promoting 56's new album...

Anyway, just wondering if anyone knew anything, or had any thoughts about this.

LOL! Nice how you put it. But it's true though and I totally agree. You can stalk his blog, but hope you don't over-do it! I swear I see like some people post about 50+ times in an entry and I'm like "Whoa! Major stalker alert!"

And yes, the person maintaining the J-Star website is either a slacker or forgot to take it down or something. *shrugs* 'Cause I still see his profile in there and messages, etc. Strange. Oh well.

Its so weird that he is not in 183 club anymore. He had one of the best voices in the group. It sounds weird without him. I love J-Stars but it isnt the same. Does anyone know if 183 is going to release another album soon?

It should be out already. I saw it on YesAsia and all.

And I think I'm more used to Jacky out of 183 already. I mean it's been sevearl months. It doesn't matter that much anymore. But just hope Jacky does something soon - which I think he said he will in his blog so hope it will go smoothly.

183 club have definitely gone off the boil When I was in taipei recently there was hardly anything about them just a notice of a gig or something in a magazine with no picture of them But i think there was an intervew with ming dao and another one with sam in some glossy magazines

Yea, Hi-Fly is actually a Mainland series. The guy Gary is the other pilot who kept going against Benny's character in there, right? (The one that Christine ended up with?) If that's him, I didn't notice him much. It would have been much, much better if they let Jacky be 2nd lead. I'm not saying that 'cause I'm obsessed with him 'cause it was terribly unbearable watching the scenes unfold and how boring that Gary guy is. It didn't help the plot move at all. I'm usually patient with series but this one is just testing my patient.

'Hong Jiu' has always been one of my favourites from Gao Jie, but the whole album is really excellent in my opinion (pity it didn't do well). Don't forget to scour youtube for the MVs to some of the tracks, everyone!

I love "Hong Jiu" too. I mean he with so much energy in it and you can feel the song even if you don't understand it. I also like "Wo Yao Ni". I agree. Can't believe it didn't do well, but I heard it has to do more with promo technique though. And I'm trying to hunt down for this CD right now (it's like impossible but still - not giving up).

Yes, he did get kicked out. He also said that in his blog too after he got out of rehab. (The entry that he asked for forgiveness. I think Vanadia or someone translated the entry - scroll back up or go back a page or so to read it.) And I'm not sure if Johnny's still in, but from the latest news article, looks like he left to go back to basketball or something. Not totally sure. tammiest would be a good candidate to hunt down ask for such info. So the ones that are still intact are Ming Dao, Ehlo, and Sam. 183 Club isn't the same, but they still have Ehlo to sing! (That is IF you think he can sing! LOL! And don't mean it in mock since I love his voice too and think he sings really well, but some people might not think so.)

when i was in taipei recently my friend and i saw johnny from 183 club on a cable sports channel i think it was ESPN He was wearing a smart suit and was doing basketball comentary

yes jacky definitely got kicked out At first it was said to be over his wild lifestyle in general and artistic differences with sun de rong the j-stars manager But just as DTLCT said once he got out of rehab he admited on his blog that it was the marijuana charges that got him kicked out of the j-stars

he sounds very serious about staying off drugs and trying to make a comeback and i personly think he deserves a second chance

I miss seeing Jacky with the J-stars / 183 CLUB. I wish Sun Zhong would just realize that 183 needs him back! His vocals are sooo good, and match perfectly with MingDao, ShaoWei, and YuRong. (Must be awkward that his brother is still in J-stars..)

LOL! You sure have faith in him! (Just kiddig!) But I agree. It's "clothes" not "cloth". But I think 'cause he stays up WAY too late so he got careless. LOL! (Talking about that, I once mis-typed something when replying to his entry - I felt like hiding under some rock, but went back to clarified it anyway.)

Somewhat irrelevant, but I lost my cell phone on the bus the other day. What does that have to do with anything? The thing I'm really sore about is I lost my Angel Lover phone string. Shouldn't have attached it to the phone in the first place. *cries* (Sounds super obsessed and crazy, but it reminds me of Jacky so that sucks big time that I lost it.)
