i went on ming daos thread to look at the pic of him and jacky Im not sure what to think about it
it was an unflatering photo but you have to remember he recetly got mashed in the face by a basketball and i guess his face would look puffy right?

is he realy grey at the temples he is only 28 going on 29 or was it hair colour? i dont mind anyway I like an older distinguished kinda idol

But i agree with Mingde and some of the girls on Mingdaos thread, is a bar a good place for jacky with his drugs problem to be? He has certainly put himself in the way of temptation and even if he stays off marijuana there is so much booze around in a bar!!!

I just asked a work colleague to translate an article The link was posted on Ming daos thread on 20 July The link is in the post that had the photo of JK and Ming dao at the launch party My colleague said the article was very slangy and she found some of it a bit hard to follow but here goes:

Zhu Fan Gang Spends $300 million NTs to Open a Bar [literally an evening shop] and Has a Very Noisy Party that Brings Police Attention

When Jacky zhu Fan Gang was a member of 183 Club and he loved to spend time at nightclubs. people gave him a nickname that had to do with his liking nightclubs. His former manager Sun De Rong used to blame him and say 'You are such a person for nightclubs, why don't you have your own nightclub?'
Finally JK spent $300 million NTs. Jacky and Vicky who is Huang Dawei's girlfriend are running the bar (nightclub). The journalist interviewing jacky wondered if Jackys action (opening the nightclub) was in defiance of SDRs words--'I'll show you!' JK replied that 'This is not a nightclub. It's closed by 12:00am'.

The bar/nightclub is located in the eastern suburbs of Taipei. In style it has Japanese sushi and wine. It could be seen to be in competition with Mr Js YiFa Kitchen which is owned by Jay Chou. JK said, 'I'm scared to have competition with Jay Chou because he already has two shops. Im just a beginner.' But JK agreed the shop was the main interest in his life because he spends more than half his time there. 'I had this idea a year ago but now Ive made it come true. The preparation was three months ago.'

He is a new boss and he is still learning everything. The journalist asked JK how much he had spent and he paused for a long while and finally said '$300 million NTs'.

This week was the launch party of Pause (name of the bar/club?) Ming Dao, Zhu Weiyin, Rong
Xiang and marathon runner Lin Yi Jie and his girlfriend all
came too. Just because it was very noisy a neighbour complained and the police came. The journalist commented that JK should learn to communicate with the neighbours then make some money.

About Ethan Ruan JingTian suddenly becoming so popular for the song Fated to Love You and also he (Ethan) goes to the beach and swims nude. JK said, 'For someone in the entertainment circle, using those kind of things to attract more people and to increase your ratings is no good, silly.' He added that he was speaking just in general and not about Ethan personally. He said he was also not going to be jealous of Ethans suddenly becoming famous.
Jacky said he wishes to record a solo album in the future.

i know what you mean mandilicious about missing them The only news is that jacky has opened a wine and sushi bar in Taipei and has sunk a lot of money into it A friend of mine translated an interview with him about it a few posts back You can check it out

when jacky came back from overseas and said hed had time to reflect on his targets and goals i think opening the bar must have been one of the options I liked what he said in the interview about being a new boss and being a beginner and having to learn everything He sounded responsible and hardworking I remember Qapint once said on this thredd that when Jacky came out of rehab he had a new focussed look in his eyes Maybe this is part of that

but as a loyal fan my main worry is that the bar will take up all his time and energy and a new recording even an EP might be a long way off

I'm editing this post to add a translation of JKs last post in Chinese A Chinese friend at my work EW translated it but we werent sure exactly how to word some of it in english But here goes:

To tell you the truth the Beijing Opening Ceremony realy made me so proud and emotional. One part i saw was not only the the best thing for 5000 years of history but also for our Chinese united together to the top of human resources or achievement [?]

Maybe thats the emotional knot of learning Chinese culture Maybe as a Chinese i was naturally born with this quality or feeeling, kind of an affinity [?] with Chinese culture, especialy when they played the Chinese national anthem I just couldnt control myself and I sang along. And truly at that moment my nose felt a little bit tingling with emotion [tanslator's note: this reference to his nose doesnt have anything to do with his nose being smashed by a basketball several weeks ago. ^ You have a point there, but honestly - it's sad that people can't seem to distinguish between real life and what's in those dramas if they discriminate again people who played villian roles or not so meaty roles. It's the ability to portray those roles are what counts the most. But I guess that's just my take.

I actually like most of his roles so far - at least there's a difference between his roles rather than others who keep portraying those same roles. (And that way he gets more experienced.)

I'm not being harsh on those who think that of actors/ actresses who portrayed villian roles or whatever since I used to be like that too. But when I actually stop and think about it somewhere along the way, I'll be like "If those people are so convincing to the point that I hate them for their role, then they're pretty good" so that's how I think about it differently.

And to be a little bit more off-topic, other people who portrayed villian/ hateful roles like Xiao Qiao (used to), Wei Ru, and others are actually more talented than some of the ones portraying the lead roles right now.

Was Qiao En's character in PTIF called tianyu, or am i geting mixed up with another drama? well in some ways tianyu was a very strong brave girl I mean she was good at making money and could carry natural gas bottles around and could repair things, but on the other hand she was vulnerable And she was a romantic so i really think she believed Michael (jackys character) was sincere in his invitation

Yea, I think the character is called Tian Yu. But are you saying that the character has a great figure or QE? 'Cause if she's playing a character of some sort, it would make sense if she's embarrassed. And I think it has nothing with having good figure or not, it's more about you're the "it" aka the person who's really out on the whole joke. And yes, agree with you to take caution before wearing a bikini just like that. (I think maybe I'm too paranoid and don't trust people easily so that's why I don't buy into that scene too much. AND aren't looks deceiving? Just 'cause he's so charming you've got to trust him? Again, 'cause I'm paranoid, I would check about twice. And I expected her character to be a lot smarter and have more common sense, but maybe 'cause it's the guy that she likes so nvm. Enough said.)

Ying? LOL! I love Ying (after watching the 4 or 5th time around that is 'cause I can analyze the characters more by then instead of watching 'cause of pure obsession, lol). Watching Ying making sarcastic remarks at other characters is just oh-so-funny and entertaining since he was taking care of most people who were so annoying throughout. But this is Jacky's thread so I'll quit ranting too much about that.

welcome to the thread, jkjoey! I agree with you totaly about loving jackys songs I have all of his solo album Gao Jie as audio tracks on my iPod and also a lot of his solos on variety shows and 183 Club MVs They are so full of life and i love his voice

I love the ones mingde posted especially ni bu zai. I love how he goes up into falsetto in that and holds the presenters hand Cute

I hope Mingde is wrong about jk losing his charm. Well there was one bad photo of him on Ming Dao s thread posted on July 20 at the launch party of his bar But it was late at night, the flash went off right in his face and recetly he had been hit in the face by a basketball so i am not convinced our idol looks as bad as that all the time
The last photo of him on his blogg looks good hes very tan and relaxed but maybe it is from last year

let's hope he will post some recent pics of himself in his blog .. and perhaps write something about himself, his thoughts, his plans etc. .. and seeing the messages fans posted in his blog he should know his fans miss him and want to know what he is up to lately
