I do think Xiao Qiao is a great host. She does act very natural. There's nothing fake at all about her. She's very cute and happy when she hosts. I'd love to see her and QE host together or something. That would be cute! Like when Xiao Qiao hosted WQYL as a subsitute with Ming Dao, she was soo cute! And as for her acting, she does just get better and better. I agree that Huang Xiao Lei is one of her best if not the best character she's ever played!

Yeah, I thought XiaoQiao was a GREAT WQYL host! Really happy, adorable, and upbeat! And she didn't seem to stumble over her words. I've seen her as a guest on other variety shows, and she's not afraid to speak her mind, either. Haha... so funny.

BTW, don't remember seeing the TITLE of XiaoQiao's new show, which she hosts with 陽帆 Yang Fan (another very famous host)... so, here it is: 爆桿賓果王 [Bao Gan Bin Guo Wang] [Bingo Over-Par]. From the screencaps I found on-line, it's a sort of hybrid game of pool and Bingo... Personally, I'm not very interested in something like that, but I do hope it does well If there are any interesting guests on, I'll give it a try.

I was also wondering that! How did they get Sun Zhong to agree having Xiao Qiao and Shao Wei act together again? While it took forever for him to agree to another MD/QE collaboration, I didn't hear anything big about his thoughts with Xiao Qiao and Shao Wei together. He usually makes a big fuss about almost everything, I didn't really hear from him this time...

I don't think Sun DeRong cares that much about ShaoQiao... in terms of rumors. I mean, I think the two of them DID like each other at one point, but it doesn't seem like they do any MORE... as the boss, I'm sure he "knows" of their "real" relationships (remember-- his other "big" rule is that they can't be photographed on a date), so...
Also, QE fans suspect Sun DeRong/J-Star of PUBLISHING some MingEn rumors themselves. Seems like Sun DeRong has been doing a lot of "strange"/contradictory things these days? Like he's desperate for publicity or something.
And ShaoQiao wasn't really the "focal" point of WZBQW (actually, there weren't that many ShaoQiao scenes!), so maybe that contributes to it, also? (I mean, QE filmed RPS with ShaoWei, and there WAS a bit of ShaoEn in WZBQW, too.) And Your Home Is My Home started filming after or around the time of Ying Ye, right? So maybe Sun DeRong was feeling ambivalent.

As for how they returned... MAYBE the prices were upped. But I'm more inclined to think that Sun DeRong wasn't getting as much money from his entertainers as he liked, so he just accepted. There was a post in the 5566 thread that quoted Sun DeRong as saying that QiaoEn and XieZhi were the only ones who were "working" (with a salary) at the moment.

I'm not completely positive, but one of the girls Margaret Wang Yu Jie quit because she originally wanted the lead role in Ai Shang Qian Jing Mei Mei, but didn't get it because QE got it. So she left? I'm not quite sure... And as for Man Tou, I think they said she violated her contract and then left or something. I'm not quite sure either. I think they explain it more clearly in the 7 Flowers thread, but I don't know if anyone knows for sure... I didn't particularly like Zai Zai or Yu Jie, but Man Tou was very cute!

Yeah, I'm guessing that Sun Zhong isn't as worried about ShaoQiao as he is/was about MingEn. Compared to MingEn in WZBQW, ShaoQiao was definitely underrated since most people didn't like Yun Xi's character. But that's okay, it works out well for ShaoQiao fans like me!

I'm not an expert like tammiest and you, but I seriously think that anywhere is better than staying at Jungiery, considering how under-rated right now. She establish herself quite well in Your Home Is My Home so she probably gets a higher chance if she's out? *shrugs* But who knows. It depends on connections nowadays. But I honestly hope people would notice XQ more. She's really talented, but seems to get hold back by you know who a lot.

Regarding WZBQW, how much of the series does XQ appear in? Just wondering 'cause I haven't watch that completely yet, tried several times and decided to skim even but still can't get myself to watch it. I don't want to risk it.

Anyway, it basically says that 陽帆 Yang Fan (he's a very famous host... used to be an idol when he was very young) is very lucky... he's going to be working with three beauties, 小嫻 XiaoXian, 小喬 XiaoQiao, 小潘潘 and XiaoPanPan, as well as the veteran host 謝麗金 Xie LiJin on his new show, 鄉親大擂台 [Xiang Qin Da Lei Tai] [Local People Arena]. The four women will act as little team captains; they have to help the contestants win prize money. Then it says that filming is scheduled to begin in November, but the four women are already competing and squabbling amongst themselves... fighting about which one of them is better at helping the contestants snatch money.

Then it says that Yang Fan's other show (XiaoQiao was his co-host), 爆桿賓果王 [Bao Gan Bin Guo Wang] [Bingo Over-Par], is being stopped. And now they're going to do this one instead... they're going to try to give away lots of money and cars... to help the ordinary people during the economy (btw, for the Bingo Game Show, it was only celebrities who ever guested... that's probably what they mean). Yang Fan also said that they will be introducing the special products of each "village"... their show, which is broadcast on satellite TV, is shown in places like Singapore and North America... so it's a good way to introduce and help Taiwan. Aside from helping the contestants gain money, the four women also wear sexy, low-cut dresses... but they're not afraid of accidental exposure. XiaoXian said, "Today, it's almost like we're photographing something for the cover of Playboy."

Joyce Zhao HongQiao (XiaoQiao), who once had so much hair that she was nicknamed "mi fen mei (rice-flour noodles girl)," has lost a lot of hair in recent months. Not only has the amount of hair she has decreased (she has but 1/3 of what she did formerly), but, a few days ago, she even discovered a bald spot! She went to the doctor, but there was no improvement. Afraid that she would follow in labelmate Tony Sun XieZhi (who is known to be balding)'s footsteps, XiaoQiao immediately launched on a campaign to "save her hair."

XiaoQiao said that, for the past several months, she has lost nearly 300 strands of hair daily. Frequently, the hair falls off in clumps. After discovering a bald spot, she lost no time in seeing a dermatologist. However, a month of steroid medications and ointments did not improve her condition at all; the doctor also worried that XiaoQiao's immunity system would suffer or have problems. He suggested that XiaoQiao go for a blood test.

XiaoQiao is unable to come up with a reason for her sudden hair loss: she admits herself that she doesn't have much work pressure. She also doesn't "understand" the meaning of "hard to sleep": "Every day, I eat, and I sleep well. The only thing I have to worry about [when I sleep] is that, upon falling on the bed, I'll sleep like the dead and find it hard to wake. There is no pressure in my life." Afraid that dyeing her hair will simply increase the seriousness and gravity of her hair and scalp condition, she does not dare to dye it again-- even though it's obvious that the color of her hair is currently uneven. She is afraid that she will continue going bald.
