Sometimes I do, I prefer not to because I don't get paid for the hours I work at home.

now, more than ever, i am bringing work home with me. typically, the things that i bring home to work on are little things, like reviewing monthly data, reviewing calculations. these are things that do not require much concentration, and i'd much rather do it at home in front of mtv than do it at work.

Well I work from home so I don't have a lot of choice. I mainly do it when my little boy is at school and my husband is actually at work so I get to spend quality time with my family in the evening.

once in a while like when i am in a deadline to finish something or when i don't know how to do something, then i would spend more time at home figuring it out.

I try not to. I've brought work home a few times 'cos

1) My workplace doesn't have a 3.5"in floppy drive. Had to bring boxes of diskettes back to transfer files to hard drive. Came to 49mb of files that are not corrupted.
2) Sometimes I use my motorcycle for dispatch. If I can't finish the non-urgent things, I'll go home with the documents and give them to the respective parties the next day.

I bring paper works at home, especially, when I want to meet the deadline. I already did it many times.

Home is for you to rest, so no, I dont' bring it home, unless it's absolutely necessary. I don't want my home to be as stressful as the workplace. =)

Maybe, if I run out of time for the deadline of work. Besides, when you work at home, you can focus much more on your work and fear no one who may distract your mind with their annoying voices and laughters.

It's hard to just say I wont do work when I leave the office. You'll still think about it if you have deadlines etc. to meet. It'll just stress out your nights if you think about the next day. I'd rather stay back, or take work home to finish it so I dont need to think abt it.

i would love to bring work home because i can do simple stuff while i am watching tv.
Unfortunately work don't encourage staff to bring work home so we don't have access to work.
I guess it can be good or bad but it really depends on what you prefer.

Unfortunately, I bring work home quite frequently... I love the work that I do but the pace and the workload makes it difficult to complete all of the work during work hours. In fact, I often eat lunch at my desk and skip breaks.... very bad for the stress level.

Nope, I refuse to (not that I need to either). It's hectic enough in the office already - and I spend enough time at work, so I'm not going to ruin my own personal time by looking at work at home.
