With a love affair in TVB's series "Virtues of Harmony", Ronald Cheng and Nancy Sit were filming yesterday in Tsimshatsui's Avenue of Stars, where Ronald who has a crush on Nancy is hiding and secretly stalking her. As it was a public holiday, they attracted a crowd of tourists and Nancy's popularity could be compared to that of a queen on parade. Ronald will be guest starring in the long running show for a few episodes and is injecting a new strain of humour into the show with his crazy antics and dirty looks.

As it was a public holiday yesterday, there were plenty of local and mainland tourists leaving the venue rather packed and extra crew had to be called in to make way for the filming. The crowd still followed them, not wanting to affect their work. Some people then asked for photographs and for Nancy to hold Ronald's arm, whilst children yelled out 'Ka Yin Ma Ma' and adults commented on how slim and pretty to she was, making her very happy indeed. Nancy says: "This is the first time that Ronald and I have been to the Avenue of the Stars and it would be nice to walk down here with a lover. I never realised how popular I would be, maybe because of the show being extended."

Also, Ronald was originally planning to just guest star in the show for a few episodes, but if the reaction is positive, then he may rejoin the series again later.

Ronald Cheng and the new Miss Chinese International Linda Chung have been paired up by TVB, both being sent to appear in "Virtues of Harmony", but not getting any scenes together. So instead, TVB have arranged for Linda to take part in the music video for Ronald's new song "Only need you to love me". The director especially arranged several 'bed scenes' for them as they whisper sweet nothings and massage each other in some very heartwarming scenes.

As this is the first time that Linda has filmed a music video, she was rather nervous to begin with and kept having NG's, but later Ronald had a word with her and she immediately improved. To put her more at ease, Ronald kept chatting and joking with her off the set and even doing magic tricks to get to know her a little more.

(1/10/2005) Miriam Yeung Chin Wa two nights ago won four awards at the TVB JADE SOLID GOLD awards. When former boyfriend Ronald Cheng Chung Kei made a mistake with her winning song title SMALL CITY BIG AFFAIR (SIU SING DAI SI), Chin Wa took a jab at him at the celebration. "He really was nervous. I thought, come on, give me a break! Maybe he watched the movie more than listened to my song. He is a film person now!"

Cheng Chung Kei said, "It's my flaw, what an embarrassment. I always have stage fright. I never expected it to happen on her song title. What an embarrassment. Today I will go to confession, I just made a mistake. I too want to win the producer award. I am happy for her winning the Gold Song Gold Prize."

Ronald is one of the best singers around. Sadly, he is not famous. I wonder, is it because he doesn't look as hot as people like Andy Lau, he's not as young and cool as Edison, or is it simply because of the little fuss he'd kicked up in the past (Eg. having some arguements on the flight once..)

Listened to his older albums with songs like "Gai Qing Yan" (Jie4 Qing2 Ren2 in chinese) and many others - actually he has a very comforting voice..

If he ain't famous because of the former reasons, sometimes I think it's too unfair..

The Ronald Cheng Chung Kei, Cheung Tat Ming and Sam Lee Chan Sam starred film DRAGON LOADED 2 (LUNG GUM WAI 2) earlier finally wrapped. The film only shot partially in the city and mainly in Tai O, where the cast spent two weeks. Because the production was very rushed, the actors were very tense. The shoot went on from 4AM to 9PM.

The local villagers welcomed the film company to shoot in Tai O. They often came to cheer them on and brought food. The atmosphere was very pleasant. Because it could help Tai O's tourism business, villagers all treated them like family and welcomed them to return to Tai O when they promote the film. While shooting in Tai O, the cast became used to going to bed and getting up early. Their lives were very normal.

On the day of the wrap, they shot from sunset to early morning, but Cheung Tat Ming and Lee Chan Sam who have finished their scenes a long time ago stayed on the set and waited until Cheng Chung Kei finished at 5AM to celebrate. Although the temperature was very cold and the cast was in light costumes, they all cheered when they opened their champagne bottles.

Ronald Cheng Tattoo-Addicted?!

A function for the new movie, Dragon Reloaded, was held yesterday. But because Ronald Cheng was 45 minutes late causing the other cast members, Sam Lee, Miki Ng, Cheung Tat Ming and Vincent Kok to wait. On the stage, Ronald was not focused but kept talking to Sam and Tat Ming. When Ronald and Miki were doing some movie actions on stage it caused everyone to laugh.

Ronald was sorry for being late and explained why he was late. Since yesterday was a public holiday, a lot of people went to Sha Tian, his house is near there so he was caught in a major traffic jam.

Ronald hopes that this new movie goes well and if it does, Ronald doesn’t mind paying for a holiday to Thailand for the cast and the crew. When asked if he will wear a tank top when swimming. Ronald replied that he will be wearing snorkelling bathers to go snorkelling. Reporters then asked if the reason that he is going to wear long bathers was because he didn’t want people to see his tattoo. Ronald said that it had nothing to do with that. In the movie, there is a scene where Ronald’s upper half of the body is shown but it did not show his arm. Ronald laughed and replied, “You can’t see it? Ai yah! The person who was filming is very bad!”

Ronald’s back has a new tattoo, two birds. Ronald also split out that Sam Lee has a tattoo consisting of an angel and devil. Ronald said that getting a tattoo on his back was very painful but plans to get his whole hand/arm tattooed. When asked if Ronald wanted to change the Charlene tattoo, Ronald quickly said, “No! It has nothing to do with this rumour! But I don’t think I will get my whole hand/arm tattooed anyway because of my job.” Ronald also said that tattooing can also get very addictive.

Today is Tat Ming’s birthday, he said that he is two years older than Alan Tam. Yesterday, he celebrated with his friends and because his daughter’s birthday is also in July, they celebrated together. Tat Ming wishes that his daughter will be healthy and for himself he wishes to get a chance to get an award as the ‘Best Supporting Actor’.

Has anyone heard Ronald's new song yet? I heard it on the radio for a few times these past couple of weeks and it's pretty good. I really like the lyrics to the song but couldn't find it anywhere on the net. Wonder if he will have a new album coming out soon.

Ronald Cheung as Jacky Chan

Ronald Cheung directs the mini MV for his song, Rascal (無賴). In this MV, Ronald has copied some of Jackie Chan’s famous movie scenes. He made a group called the ‘Jacky-Ronald group’ (成基班) and called himself 成基大哥. There were a lot of dangerous scenes such as leaping off buildings and chasing buses. Ronald says, “We have not used substituted people for the scenes and computer enhancements. But we have a dummy to shoot the jumping off the building scene and a lot of tomato sauce!”

To pretend to be Jacky Chan, not only did Ronald have to have a wig but wear a fake nose. Another major issue were the movements. Ronald says, “I have told Jacky that I would be doing this. But I told him a long time ago, so he has probably forgotten.”
