Kary Ng turns work into fun while filming MV

On Sunday, Kary Ng was working on a MV for her new song, South Wind (南方的風). The director found a perfect place to shoot this MV. The temperature of Hong Kong is getting cooler; Kary had fun taking pictures of nature with her camera during the filming of her MV.

In the MV, Kary walks beside a lake wearing stilettos. As the grounds beside the lake were rocky, Kary wore sneakers first. Then with the help of her assistant, Kary walked to the middle of the rocky grounds and then changed into stilettos and then began filming for the MV. Kary did not mind this tough task, as long as her MV turns out good.

They then went to a museum to film the MV. The director had all the glass cases open for the filming of the MV. While everyone was outside, Kary mischievously stood in one of the cases. When her assistant came along, Kary scared her. Fun loving Kary, turned one day’s worth of work into one day’s worth of fun.

Kary Ng, who has returned to Hong Kong from Shanghai, yesterday told everyone that she had tonsil inflammation at her concert. She said, "I might of gotten a cold in Shanghai because of its weather so now I have tonsil inflammation, causing my throat to swell. (Are you afraid that it'll affect your singing?) I will try my best to sing!" When she found out that she had tonsil inflammation, her doctor actually suggested her to have tonsillectomy and get rid of her tonsils, but she rejected the surgery, "Because after the surgery, my voice will be different and the quality will be different. I've actually had tonsil inflammation many times this year, so it's pretty severe. If it happens again, I might consider having tonsillectomy!"

Justin Lo, who is releasing his album tomorrow, said at his concert, "I'm like a baby - very nervous!" Tomorrow he will have a concert and alot of relatives and friends will be there to support him, "I'm afraid that I'll cry being too emotional. (Will your girlfriend be there?) I don't have a girlfriend. I really want to go out because I've already 'eaten lemons' ten times!"

Yesterday Shawn Yue, Fiona Sit, Wilfred Lau, and Kary Ng was practicing for their 903 California Red Concert. Out of them four, Kary's dancing skills are the best. Shawn and Wilfred were slow and wasn't that good, but they made it up being hardworking.

The four young artists practiced a dance to an 80's medley. At first they were joking and playing around. But when it was the real rehearsal, they were very focused. Kary, who has a dancing background, was the center of attention there. Shawn and Wilfred expressed that dancing is their weakest link, Wilfred said, "Shawn and I are famous for our bad dancing and being slow!"

Fiona and Kary expressed that the dance steps aren't too complicated and the most important is to work together. When they were asked who was the worst, Fiona said, "I can't even focus on myself so I didn't pay attention." Kary said, "We practiced okay! It's hard to practice together as we can always mess up, plus the two guys are easily out of control! (Are your clothes going to be sexy?) It's not sexy, it's very covered up." Fiona teased, "It will be turtle-neck shirts and will only reveal our fingers." They also 'exploded' that for Shawn to buff up his body appearance, he would do push ups when he's not busy.

Last night Shawn Yue, Fiona Sit, Kary Ng, and Wilfred Lau was at the 903 California Red Concert. The concert was very exciting as the four of them dressed up as in the 80's and sang their songs. Shawn's immitation of Alan Tam and Wilfred Lau's immitation of Leslie Cheung were the funniest. Kary appeared with a back baring shirt singing Sandy Lam's 《瘋了》 and Fiona wearing a stomach baring shirt singing Madonna's Material Girl.

During the duet time, Wilfred with a tuxedo and Fiona with a Victorian look made them seem like a real couple, singing 《日與夜》. One side of Fiona's strap fell, causing one to indulge in 'fantasy'. Kary and Shawn appeared with a rock look, but wasn't as good as Wilfred and Fiona's. But when it was the dancing time, Kary snatches the center of attention once again. After the concert, the four of them celebrated and a male fan sprayed champagne at them. When it was picture time, Shawn puts his arm on FIona's shoulder, but to avoid suspicions, he immediately drew his hand back.

Kary was asked whether she was mad at Fiona for stealing the center of attention, she explained, "Of course not. It's good that this time everyone is happy! (Were you bra-less with this outfit?) No, I did wear it! I'm afraid of being bra-less." As with being sprayed with champagne, she said," He's just too happy. I was the first one to be hit, my whole back was wet, but he didn't do that on purpose!"

Wilfred and Shawn together greatly praised that Kary and Fiona were very eye catching. Shawn even said, "It really made me 'spit blood'!" When asked whether Shawn placed his arm on Fiona's shoulder but then suddenly drew back his hand, Wilfred asked Shawn," You were patting her back?" Shawn immediately clarrified, "I didn't know where I was touching so I immediately drew my hand back! And it actually turned out to be her shoulders!"

With Kary Ng's album releasing, Jan Lam is responsible for the cover design. He requested Kary to wear silk socks, revealing a healthy sex appeal, continuing how she was like during the Ping Pung times.

Kary has started preparing for her album, With a Boy Like You, since last year and it is going to release on the 26th this month. Jan Lam is the designer for the looks and cover and had produced a sexy look for Kary as she has long arms and beautiful legs. But he doesn't want to reveal too much, so the main focus will be on the different kinds and colors of the silk socks, giving Kary a healthy sexy look.

When she had to change to different socks, she accidentally ripped alot of them. She didn't want to throw them away and saved them for memories. Kary's album will consist of Cantonese, Mandarin, and English songs. One of the English songs, With a Boy Like You, is specially chosen by her manager.

I think she has done very well since goin solo. It was kinda hard to believe that she could be successful from the cookies days as many see cookies (especially when there was 9) to be idol non-talented singers. Kary was also not considered "good-looking" but since her new image and maturing into a young women from girl she has improved alot from being in Ping Pung and now goin solo. Her album has definetly done well in terms of song selections (away from the sappy pop cookies days) and enjoyable. She sings quite well now as well.

Kary is OK..but Stephy, she is a terrible singer. I don't understand how anyone can praise her.
She has a paper thin voice and she can't sing falsetto and chokes on the high notes. Her voice is very weak. Maybe some people like that paper thin quality of her voice, a la Fiona Sit, but she sucks, period.
Kary on the other is not bad and shouldn't be insulted with comparisons to a terrible singer like Stephy.

Frankly, I was a little disappointed with the album. It started off great, but then just became too typical. I was expecting more songs like the first 3. It felt like she really wanted to venture into rock, but decided in the end that it was better to stay on the safe side with pop ballads. Pretty solid voice and good songs overall, so I'd say it's a pretty good album for her first solo effort.

Yesterday Kary Ng attracted plenty of fans to her autograph session for her new album. She said she had lost sleep last night worrying that no fans will come support. She is very happy that her album so far has sold 10,000 copies and just thought it would sell 5,000 to 7,000 copies. While in Ping Pung earlier, their album also sold 10,000 copies and Kary joked that this time she can keep all the bonuses to herself.

When asked whether she is worried that she will have to compete and be compared with Stephy, she said, "They started comparing us ever since Cookies had 9 members so now I am all used to it. I'm sure the company treats everyone fairly."

Last night Kary attended Sammy and Kitty's radio program and was said that starting in the year of 2007, she will have 20 years of luck. She will have chances of marry when she is 27 to 30 years old, but she thought that was too early and should be 40 years old. It also said that she will have a 'different nationality' relationship and Kary admits that she doesn't mind having a foreign boyfriend.

Yesterday Kary Ng held an autograph session for her new album and was playing games with three male fans. They were competing amongst each other for Kary by singing, playing the flute, and desmonstrating magic tricks. In the end, the male magician won the game.

Regarding magic, Kary thinks it's a pity that she hasn't encountered a guy who does magic or any guys that will use their heart to make her happy. She jokes, "That participant told me to help him burn the paper flower. I'm scared of fire so I almost jumped of the stage and left." There has also been rumors about her dating Edison Chen's good friend but she denied it and joked, "We are just regular friends. He rode in my car to hang out but he definately did not stay over. I'm really happy that I finally have rumors, but I'm afraid that it will scare off people that really wants to date me!"

Yea I agree with some of these posts. Kary has one of the best voices of all the new artists....most of htem are >_< and she is definitely the best singer in all of the cookies. I'm glad she's got her own career now, in cookies she was always overshadowed by teh other three, I don't know why people say she's ugly. I think she's pretty lol. I can't believe she's older than me...by two months lol.

I felt Fiona's song should've been there because her song was really good and it wasnt those plain love songs that made up the whole list; however how Bernice got there is still a mystery.

Other than that i find Kary to be a really good singer, too bad her cantonese is still not fluent i mean if you sat far away at a live concert you wouldnt be able to hear the words. She shouldnt have been in Cookies, she should've just started out with Ping Pung and then went solo because when she was in cookies she was overshadowed by Stephy and Theresa which hid her abilities to sing but i guess Paco wanted her to work on her cantonese by having her sing with a big group first.

Yesterday Kary Ng, Justin, Alex Fong and others held an opening filming ceremony for their new movie First Love Song 《戀愛初歌》. Kary revealed that she will be giving her first onscreen kiss to Justin. Because Justin was earlier sealed as 'sexy mouth', Kary was afraid that she will be scolded by fans.

Kary expressed that she doesn't feel awkward yet filming intimate scenes with Justin, "It's not a real intense kiss. It's just one of those 'touching the surface' type." Kary was supposed to go to the U.S. to take courses on music and dancing, but because of the movie, it has been postponed to September.

Justin, who is also having his first onscreen kiss, said that it is a bit weird filming intimate scenes with Kary, "I usually treat her as a little sister so it's a bit incompatible. But it should be fine, I'll just close my eyes and imagine. (Imagine who? Girlfrield?) No, hoping that it'll be done in one take!" He also revealed that this movie is intended to release its own original soundtrack, therefore he has been starting to compose songs for the movie.

On the other hand, Alex will be playing an inferior rich guy who lies just to ask Kary out.

Interesting News. The title of the movie sounds really nice and unique! I hope the movie quality and plot is good unlike a lot of the HK productions nowaday The cast and pairing is really fresh, I'll be waiting to see the chemistry between Kary and Justin. Alex seemed to be pairing up with each of the cookies

I can't wait for the OST of the movie too. I like Justin's composition. I wonder...would Justin and Kary sing a duet together for this movie? That's That would be something to look forward to!
