Hong Kong pop singer and actress Gigi Leung is hoping to roundup highlights of her decade-long career with a Shanghai concert next month.

It will also be her first solo concert on the Chinese mainland.

The 31-year-old will sing at the Shanghai Grand Stage on August 25.

She will play her best-known hits, such as "Fresh," "Coward," and "Short Hair."

Gigi Leung told local media she hopes the show will be a summary of her career so far.

Tickets go on sale soon, with a price cap of 1,000 yuan (US$131.68).

Actor Xia Yu, winner of Best Actor Award in 1994 Venice International Film Festival, and Hong Kong multi-talented star Gigi Leung will go together in a new film "Bangzi, Laohu, Ji",or "Bat, Tiger and Chicken."

The film has started shooting in eastern Chinese city of Hangzhou on Monday, targeting on this year's New Year's Eve market.

Director Wang Guangli said he would make the film "a large and complicated guessing game" as well as a romantic love story.

In the film, Xia Yu, who plays the part of a fire balloon administrator, will fall in love with Gigi Leung on a fire balloon.

"We prepared a 25-meter diameter balloon. Generally speaking, this kind of fire balloon is hard to control," the director said. They plans to hold the floating balloon with a rope, like flying a kite.

This is the second time Xia Yu and Gigi Leung cooperated on the silver screen. Seven years ago, they co-stared "My Brothers and Sisters", playing a brother and a sister.

A poster of Hong Kong singer and actress Gigi Leung's Shanghai concert was released on Wednesday.

Hong Kong media reports that a stylist designed an 8-pound gorgeous headpiece for her, in order to create a carnival-like touch for the poster.

On the day of shooting, the star found it hard to keep her neck upright when wearing the headpiece. After five hours' work, she could hardly raise her weary head and rushed off for a head and neck massage.

The concert will be staged at Shanghai Grand Stage on August 25.

August 25th, Gig Leung will hold a concert in Shanghai to mark her 10th Anniversary in Showbiz. In order to express a different side of her, she had been practising hard for special segments such as performing magic and had even invited VanNess Wu to dance with her, enable her fans to expect more variety of performance from her concert.

Apart from the special performances, Gigi will also be more daring in her concert costumes to showoff her good figure, had also invited VanNess to perform intimate dance routine with her. 07 Asia Song Festival to Open in Seoul

The guest list of the 2007 Asia Song Festival, Asia's biggest music gala, has been decided.

The Korea Foundation for International Cultural Exchange says 14 teams from nine countries will perform at the festival opening Sept. 22nd at Seoul World Cup Stadium. The star studded list includes Lee Hyori, Super Junior and SG Wannabe from Korea , and Cheung A-mei from Taiwan, ZhaoWei of China, Gigi Leung of Hong Kong and Golf & Mike of Thailand.

The concert will be free and tickets can be downloaded from the foundation Web site from early September.

Chief of the foundation board of directors Sin Hyeon-taek says "we hope that the 2002 World Cup fever would repeat at the song festival as a venue to boost the Asian music industry and cultural exchange."

Changes in Guest @ Gigi's Shanghai concert

Gigi's Shanghai concert will be held next week.
Special guest for the concert is originally scheduled to be Vanness Wu.
From the beginning, we have worked hard to negotiate the schedule with the filming crew.
However, it's the crucial period for the filming crew, the pressure of catching up with the filming schedule, as well as having to rush filming day and night in order to complete filming within the contract stated time of the female lead Pu Zhi Ying.

In addition, F4 will be visiting Japan and Korea for Taiwan's tourism 2nd round of promotion on 0920- 0924. Unavoidingly, will have to take leave from filming too.
And to be special guest at the concert, it wil take 3 days for rehearsal + performance. Even though we tried very hard to fight for it, in the end it can't be scheduled.
It is confirmed that VanNess won't be able to attend Gigi's concert.
Altough to us, it's a regret.
But as we have a contract with the filming crew in the 1st place, we have to respect the filming's crew decision.

After Gigi Leung broke up with Ekin Cheng , her image was totally let free, night before she held a concert in Shanghai, did a SM style with the male dancer, and also putting the first male dancers head to her lower body, talking about relationship matter tears rolled, she seems to have not completely accepted the fact that Ekin Cheng already has a second half.

Gigi Leung held her concert at Shanghai's large stage attracting a 90% audience, first did aerial acrobats entering, then singing and dancing transforming into many varieties of images, showing bare back, exposed sexy waist image, a set of clothes after another, in one which had the audience shouting, was the SM one in a set of bra-top with shorts, she did a lot of leg movements between the legs, dancing sexily with the male dancer, freely allowing the male dancer touching around her body, extremely daring.

Gigi Leung recalled her career in the 10 years, could not help but shed tears : "On the road of her relationships she has given sincere, wholeheartedly, it is regrettable that the two sides are not compatible."

Hi Jupi! I know, I was kind of shocked too when I saw the pictures. I think Gigi handled it well, it's just too bad that it happened to her during her concert. I'm sure she learned something from that incident.

Hi Jupi! Yes, the news wasn't featured in major newspapers so I guess the incident wasn't a big deal. My goodness, if that happened to me, I would really die of embarassment!
