Corner With Love gets the highest ratings, Da S bows to show her appreciation


Corner With Love, the idol drama showing every Sunday, defeated all other shows from the 3 stations, reaching the highest rating of 3.93 averaging at 3.42. Summer x Summer, which is broadcast at the same time slot, reached 1.30 while My Lucky Star garnered an average of 2.24. The ratings from the category of those between 15-24 years were even higher at 6.24 (for Corner With Love), a big lead from Summer x Summer’s 2.68 and My Lucky Star’s 2.4.

Da S was in Hong Kong filming an advertisement when she received this piece of good news. She happily said that she wanted to give a 90 degree bow to the audience, using the elegant style of “Xu Xin Lei” to thank them for their support. The male lead Xiao Zhu was ecstatic, but had mixed feelings. While he had high expectations he also was afraid that the ratings would be too good. His fear of the show being the champion in ratings is understandable. Earlier at a celebratory party when the show was first broadcast, he had sworn that he would wear a superman costume to bungee jump if the rating broke 5 points, and even joked that he would help Da S find a pink superwoman costume. Producer Cai Zhi Ping, who was overseas, expressed that when she returned to Taiwan on the 15th, she would gather Da S, Xiao Zhu, Chen Zhi Wei, Lu Jia Xin and the other main artistes to discuss a celebratory party.

This week (18th) the complicated relationship between the male and female leads in Corner With Love will turn white hot with the emergence of a square relationship. Da S’s ‘ex’ fiancé Chen Zhi Wei reappears, making Xiao Zhu whose feelings for Da S is becoming increasingly apparent, jealous; and on the other side, Lu Jia Xin who has been holding a torch for Xiao Zhu will start to play dirty tricks, causing Da S’s relationship to face a crisis. This time Lu Jia Xin’s character Cai Xiao Yang will be a formidable force, and Da S will be struck a vicious blow. In the intense slapping scene, before Xiao Zhu can stop it, Da S will have to endure a slap by her rival in love.

Privately, before that scene was filmed, Lu Jia Xin was so nervous that she was shivering, afraid that either she would use too much force or too little, causing many NGs! Luckily, the humorous Xiao Zhu advised her, “Then just use force, no need to be afraid!” He then taught her how to use the position to film, curing her of her initial nervousness.

Though surrounded by strong competitors, CTV’s Corner With Love had the highest ratings among the 3 stations. Although lead actress Da S was in Hong Kong filming an advertisement, but she expressed that she will give a 90 degree bow to thank the audience after learning of the good news. Male lead Xiao Zhu however was both expectant and afraid.

Yay, for Barbie! I'm so happy for her.
She did a fantastic job portraying this character.
I like her here and MARS.

Corner with Love & Mars are my top two serie of Barbie.
I'm not very fond of Meteor Garden 1 or 2.

I can't wait to get my copy!

i might be a little behind, but i just finished watching episode 10! the show never fails to crack me up! haha.
i was laughing out loud at Show and Barbie when they were celebrating Valentine's and Barbie gave Show back 3 roses and said he was a "san jiao mao"(three-footed cat).
Their expressions were priceless! I'm loving the show! anyone else agree? xD

i totally agree. i love show. ! i have to say this drama has better acting than a lot of dramas i've seen. I feel like they play their characters very well and it's very natural, not forced or exaggerated..except that part where they were biting each other earlier in the series haha. but it's cute nonetheless. i LOVE this drama and i couldn't resist watching the rest of the episode when i stumbled upon it. it's too good. =) i LOVE show and da s's chemistry on screen. superbly done. =) hooray. now i just want them to hurry and finish playing the entire thing in taiwan so i can get my copy of it. hahahaha =)

Oh man, i finished the whole show already, after spending the whole day in front of the computer screen!

I totally love this show larh, the ending is so nice and wrapped up nicely. which at least i tihnk so. Nice!
It's also so touching and funny at times,and makes you dont know to laugh or to cry, haha.

I've just started this drama, and I think I'm going to try to watch the whole show. I've been trying to find another drama to watch, but stop after watching just a few episodes. This one seems good, though. I like how they bicker all the time. xD They seem to have great chemistry. I don't like it when the main characters don't even connect or anything. I'm quite a bit behind on the episodes, though, so I don't have much to say about the drama.

Aw, that is so awesome! At first I didnt like it because it pissed me off that she was so rude to him even after all the nice things he had done for her. I mean, okay, I understand that she is going thru something devastating but that doesnt give her the right to take it out on other people. Why not show some appreciation?

Xin Lei had always been a spoiled brat since she was very young, that's just how she was growing up surrounded by rich people in the wealthy life. But then suddenly, her parents goes bankrupt, they abandoned her and suddenly XL is thrust into the sort of life she was not used to, it was really hard for her to cope back then; learning how to cook and clean, finding a job, learning how to cope living as a poor person for the very first time. She was still adjusting to her new life, and she had a lot of difficulty in doing so, and because she was so used to the rich life, she still possessed that spoiled rich attitude. But as time passed, she gradually fitted into her new life, she had learned many things, as the series progressed, audiences noticed that her snobbish side was starting to recede, that was an indication that she's adjusting to her new life and is learning to appreciate more. So I don't blame her nor did I dislike her for acting the way she was, she was just too used to her old life back then.

whew!i have been very busy lately...and today...i have watch the whole day corner with love episode9 and 10...the video of nicette in dailymotion...of course this drama is really superb!very funny and touching ..it really makes me laugh when QL and Xl always have an argument...it really makes me laugh and again her former boyfriend again come...he is making QL and XL love affair in trouble...grrrrrrrrrrr!and at last i have seen the part where in Xl was released from prison and Xl cry in the rain...if i were not mistaken...that was the scene that i have been waiting for where zaizai was present in the set when they are doing that part! nyahahhaah!at last i have seen it...cause it really interest me...when zaizai came behind the scene while barbi and show doing that part ...anyway...i have recieved a copy of SPESHOW...where it contains the theme song and MV of show...i have recieved it from nicette as a present! i really love it!i suggest that grab a copy of it! it is reaaaaaally good! :iloveyou:surely you will be satisfied and happy if you have a copy of it!it contains cd and dvd of show...and also a calendar...show is sooo handsome!and the twinkle song with oda...so cute!...anyway!THANX!nicette :iloveyou:hey guys!grab a copy of it!it really worth it having a copy...sooooo nice...i am in love with SPESHOW!

Was cute the way xl wanted to cheer ql up… but she told him to sing instead hehe! When ql doesn’t want to, she grabbed his stomach. So cutteeee!!!!

Xl went to talk to amah to let ql paint coz it is his dreams. But amah still doesn’t want to. It’s so cute that xl here said “I just want to do something for ql…” aaawww she cares! ^o^ [/spoiler]

[spoiler]ql was so problematic about confessing to xl! haha! loved how he was so frustrated on how to tell her! And ah yi and jbd are the bestest friends ever!!! Confessing on valentines day! Ahahah! Qin lang became like jbd! Stuttering non-stop! And the way jbd hits him with the toy hammer! Because qin lang doesn’t know why he likes xl! (for his confession, on what to say to xl) and jbd was like “love can make people stupid. And ql was like “because it’s too stupid?” the reason for liking xl haha!

He confessed through the door thinking she’s drinking coffee again haha! and he told her that he really wants her to continue staying at his house. And then that tomorrow is valentines day, if she wants to spend it with him, she should knock three times. And then no answer. And then he said “you can knock once too if three times is too much for you” [hahahaha!] and then amah xl ahda was wondering who he was talking to! Haha! but they were out buying xl’s clothes. And ql was like “why pick a time like this to buy clothes?!” and xl was so confused and irritated! Haha! [I would be too, being short with me and I have done nothing haha!]

Ql got caught haha! he was the thief!!! And he tried to escape!! Just like a kid! LOL!

Oh yeah! Kudos for the manager telling xy off! God I wanna shove her off a cliff or something! Haha! die xy dieeeeeeee!!! >0< she really is going too far!!!!

Hahaha! Amah was wearing the gold headband haha! awww… xl was helping out!!! Kawaii!!! And she was salestalking haha! the customer said amah trained her well! Haha! and told amah she has gotten younger! And ah da and ql said so many miracles lately!!!

Hahaha xl was gone when he opened his eyes! And left the gift there… awww… it was so sweet the paint case has a piano design! ^o^ a combination of them. And ql was thinking of what to paint. And he thought of the thing he said to xl not to give up on your heart’s wish.

Ql went to wake xl up and told her to change her clothes coz he was gonna take her to a place. And xl said he should ask first if she has time or not. Then ql said, she doesn’t have work now of course she has the time.
xl: where are we going?
Ql: didn’t you want a gift?
Xl: give it to me then.
Ql:no. because this gift has a story.
And he went off to explain the forst time he came to Taipei he was a bit of an introvert. And just hid in his painting world. He has the talent ever since he was small, but when he was in high school, he never won anything in competitions. From that point, amah doesn’t want him painting anymore. And then he went back to his shell. And went off to tell what his teacher said about turning corners; you won’t know what you’ll encounter if you don’t turn corners. (him and his teacher were on a bike also that time)

And the teacher led him to that place. He saw a beautiful view! And he also got a magic lamp there.
Ql: do you know the magic lamp’s story?
Xl: of course I know. But what has it got to do with your gift for me?
Ql: coz I got a magic lamp here. So I’ll give you one also.
Ql: make a wish!
Xl: this is what you want to give me?
Ql: quick, make a wish.
Xl: why did you draw a magic lamp?
Ql: for you to make wishes.
Xl: I don’t want to. It won’t come true. It’s not realistic.
Ql: believe me. it will.
Xl: how can there be such a thing?
Ql: how do you know if you won’t try.
Xl: ok. I will. First, my parents aren’t bankrupt. I can live as a rich girl again. Second, yin shang dong has not become engaged and will come beg me to love him forever.
Ql: if wishes can really come true, will you still make that kind of wish?
Xl: why are you so serious?
Ql: you really think the wishes of a magic lamp is ridiculous?

Ql: hasn’t come true. But I believe one day they will. Still remember what I told you, the most impt thing is never to forget the wishes in your heart… that’s why I gave you a magic lamp to wish on. But I never imagined you would make that kind of wish.
Xl: okay… the first two I’ve wasted but the last one I’ll make use of it carefully. Okay? It’s my turn to tell you a fairytale.
Xl: a long time ago, there was a girl who was selling sneakers-
Ql: hey, copying others is unethical!
Xl: it’s not even the same! I’m talking about a sequel.
Ql: what sequel?
Xl: there is! Just listen to me! don’t be noisy!
Xl: you know what happened to the princess who wore the sneakers given by the good guy qin lang?
Ql: what happened?
Xl: because those sneakers were really ugly, the prince who came to save the princess cannot believe this was once the classy princess, and went home to the castle by himself. So the princess was staying in the good guy’s house forever.
Ql: what? Ugly? Are the shoes that ugly?!
Xl: that’s not the point
Ql: what’s the point then?
Xl: you really don’t get it? Do you not have a brain or your brains getting moldy??
Ql: you love to get angry and make insults! Who’s gonna love this kind of princess?
Xl: who told you to love her?
Ql: no one! I would love it that the prince will quickly take you away!

They bickered again coz ql said xl don’t know how to appreciate a person’s kindness and told her to make use of her wish carefully. And xl said it was her wish so it doesn’t concern him. And ql told her he never told anyone about this. and xl was teasing him and saying don’t tell me this is so important to you! Ql said yu xin lei! And xin lei said I know my name is really nice to hear you don’t have to say it so loud. [kawaii! I love this bickering couple!] when she called qin lang! he said the same thing to her about his name hehe! And xl said she wishes that her wishes would come true immediately! [wait, did she just make use of her third and last wish???]

Shang dong is here! T^T
Shang dong’s back and xl told him to go away! And shang dong said he won’t leave without xl. ql said what right has shang dong to come here after he left xl behind. The second time ql went out and told shang dong to go and at least give xl time to think. But sd just want to explain things to xl. xl was standing there and agreed to go talk to sd. It was so sad the way ql was telling her not to go… T^T basically, shang dong’s engagement was off coz the girl just used the engagement to test her boyfriend. Coz her boyfriend still doesn’t want to propose to her. And of course, to help sd’s family and xl’s family in the process from going bankrupt. Xl of course still couldn’t forgive him because of a deal sd has destroyed all their memories. Sd took out the ring specially designed for xl and told her whenever he misses her he’ll take out this ring to look at and his heart bleeds. Xl said she needs time to think. And sd said he won’t push her. He’ll wait and ten they’ll go back together to shanghai. When xl got down from the taxi, sd said he won’t give up. He’ll wait for the day she’ll finally forgive him.

Ql was pretending to sleep. And xl wanted to say something but couldn’t. and also ql. They’re always missing the chance to just come right out and say it… and xl said if there really was a genie. Then the genie was playing a cruel trick on her…

Ahhh ep11 looks like more heartache! Sigh! Wow can’t believe there’s only 6 episodes left! Hyd2 just finished! And cwl is about to finish! Wah no more good dramas for me! T^T [/spoiler]

I'm very interested in the piano music in the first five minutes of the opening episode of "Corner of Love". I believe it is a piano duet, maybe composed by Mozart or Beethoven, but I am still not sure.

I really love this tw serie because Barbie is in there. I like most of her series. Also, Alan Luo acts really funny. There are some scenes make you laugh out loud and i think the plot is pretty good.

Wondering was Barbie really the one who played the piano. I heard during her filming Meteor Garden, she didn't know how to play piano. But in this serie, she was acting a girl who knows how to play piano. Was it really her that's playing?
