Dragon Tiger Gate Plans to Film a Sequel, Monday July 31, 2006 Hong Kong Options

After three days of the premiere of movie Dragon Tiger Gate, the Hong Kong box office accumulated more than 5 million Yuan and mainland with 12 million Yuan. While attending a Hong Kong movie function yesterday, manager Wong Bak Ming plans to film a sequel with the same staff. The topic of the sequel will focus on 'Wong Siu Foo' (黃小虎) played by Nicholas Tse.

Regarding the couple Nicholas and Cecilia Cheung, Wong Bak Ming was asked if he would consider having Cecilia in the sequel as 'Ma Siu Ling'. He laughed but didn't answer. He said he is currently trying to plan a day for the feast.

Wow! This movie is such a big hit. It just came out and they're planning a sequel already? It'd be great if Cecilia's in the sequel and if she pairs up with Nicholas. I just really can't wait to see this movie.

obviously still havent watched it cuz it hasnt been released out in the states or even aviable on dvd. buh is the move that great to even be considered a sequal? im just gonna have to wait and see. the previews seem promising buh neva know till ive seen it.. its great that the sequal will focus on nic... would definately love to see more fighting coming from him...

Watched it the first day it was released. I really really enjoyed the kung fu moves, especially Nic's! He's so heroic...(in the opening that is).

Donnie Yen's acting definitely needs some improvement cause he seems to appear too dramatic in soppy scenes - I don't know why but as an audience, I just can't seem to connect with him/his character, like the brotherhood between Dragon and Tiger just doesn't work for me.

I'd say that Shawn Yue has one of the best lines to say cause the scripting for this movie feels misplaced in a lot of areas. Storyline is not very well written I guess...

This is definitely just a kung fu flick. Watch it for the moves and stunts as the actors totally do not have any chemistry with each other, except for between Nic and Shawn. I couldn't even feel the supposed 'sparks' and attraction between Nic and the girl. They could've worked on building more indepth, solid characters.

But I generally enjoyed the movie!

I love Nic's character, especially in the beginning. Even my sis who is not his fan melted! He's so cute..
