Ive finished watching it and i am so please with the ending.I got a bit confuse why kim rae won was angry with the english man and why the thing kim tae hee was doin is connected to kim rae won but apart from that it was great!
*

Oh tht english man, Jason, is the boss of DA Chemicals who's factory has caused much pollution to the pple living in the town of Shinballee. Tht's y Kim Rae Won is fighting for the pple in the neighbourhood against his company. Jason is also the boss of Hamilton Foundation, an organisation he set up purposely for a good cause to make use of it to cover up for the wrongdoings of his DA Chemicals. Kim Tae Hee is a volunteer at Hamilton Foundation etc. So Hamilton Foundation had used innocent medical students like her (for eg. her reports etc) to cover up for the evil DA Chemicals, so in the end Kim rae won's case had a connection wif Kim Tae Hee. Kim Tae Hee felt betrayed by that Englishman for using pple like her who volunteer for a gd cause. So she wanted him to help her fight for justice against tht Englishman. Cant explain it well, sorry hope u understand a little.

the beginning part was too cheesy, but cute cheesy. and since they got good chemistry, it makes you want to look for a hyun woo or a soo in (if ur a guy). towards the end, things got a little more serious but still contained some sweet parts. i've watched this series over and over. and i think i'd still watch it again and again.

i borrowed this series from a friend not even knowing who the actors were...the story plus the excellent english subtitle made me addicted to this show that i wasn't contented after watching it and i just had to buy it. now, i'm a big fan of rae won and tae hee...their acting was superb, so natural and realistic.

Hi there. I believe she means Meteor Garden. Ryokou made me watch it; that's how this madness began. Now I'm sucked in the Asian soap opera vortex.

I'm all registered now. I was first timer, now I'm hoteggroll.

Since this drama, I have watched "Lover's In Paris", "My Name Is Kim Samsoon", and am currently trying to watch "Attic Cat".

I still think that LSIH rules. The story is soooo gooood. The acting…top notch! The music…beautiful!

Sure the English sucks, but if I tried to speak Korean, I wouldn't be able to sell it either. I guess there are a lot more english-speaking Asians than I thought there would be.

I'm from America and it didn't bother me! I'm just glad for the opportunity to "live" in another culture by watching shows like LSIH.

Touching Moments in Harvard according to Hoteggroll:

1. Touchdown!
2. Bathroom scene where they make out. (very funny exchange btwn Hong & Hyun-Woo)
3. The Disciplinary committee/"Do you love the counsel?"
4. The car scene where Hyun-Woo is asleep and Soo-in is kinda kissing him.
5. When she leaves him at the beach. Did she take the car and leave him w/out a ride, too?

ohh meteor garden which stars F4.

so ure firsttimer & u knw Ryokou hehe.

seeing the list of korean series u haf watched, sam soon & lovers in paris are highly rated in korea & elsewhere but seeing tht u stil think LSIH rules, it makes me so happy haha since it's my fave as well.

i wasn't tht bothered by their english too as in my class, i do haf classmates frm china, vietnam n other parts of asia, n though they studied english in sch, since we all haf diff accents, it can be tough understandin wat they r tryin to say as well, so i'm fine wif the lsih pple.

with regard to ur touching moments, there's one part when they are back in korea n soo-in kinda kisses Hyun-woo the same way as ur #4. for me, tht is more touching hehe becus Hyunwoo actually knows it, n when she leaves, a tear trickles down....

n for ur #5, my bro & i were thinking too, whether she took the car or she went off in a cab lol.

hi syah4brit..yup, we are addicted to LSIH that we still talk about it everyday, and i listen to the soundtrack everyday too, hehe.

to add to hoteggroll's touching moments list, i thought nothing would top the bus scene where he was writing all those romantic words. it was also touching when hyun wo went to the hospital after learning that she didn't leave the country.

the writer of this show gets a two thumbs up from me, the story was all connected and if one will not judge it just because their english was bad....they would truly enjoy it just like we did.

i'm not sure but i think they wrote each other's names. Hyoo Woo wrote Soo In's name while Soo In wrote Hyun Woo's name.

Btw, if u guys r serious about the club thing, then maybe we should start a club.. any1 with any ideas?

Touching moments in Korea according to hoteggroll:
1. The slap
2. The "I don't love you" part after the humiliating dinner.
3. When she gets drunk, and Alex's football is smaller.
4. Drunk Hyun-Woo screaming her name.
5. When she hugs him from behind in the hosp. (after she fell in the airport)
6. The kinda kissing scene mentioned before ("when the tear trickles…")
7. When her dad bows to his dad before the wedding. That just KILLED me.
8. The infamous bus scene.

Just seems that there are more when they are in Korea. What else am I missing?

hi ryokou, drama_freak, hoteggroll, felllow LSIH fanatics hehe. *waves*

i;m still crazy over lsih, help me get over it ar, hehe, think the pple around me r tired already of hearin me talk lsih all the time, n ya i listen to the ost at least once each day.

btw i'd haf to say tht i gotta agree tht there r more touching moments when they r back in korea, tht's when they r both more mature already, it's 3 yrs after she left him rite? wow tht's so long n they still keep each other in their hearts.

i remember one scene when hyunwoo was drinking wif his senior lawyer fren in his senior's office, n his senior told him not to be like him n go get married, haf a kid n work hard to earn money for them or something, then hyunwoo said tht he don't wanna get married becus there's a girl at the other side of the world who's alone.... referring to soo in.

then the scene wen soo in was at home just after being slapped by hyunwoo, before the scene when hyunwoo cried out loud outside, soo in's fren who she stayed wif asked her whether she's got a bf n she said yes, he's in her heart, always will be. (something like tht)

wow, those r the little things also abt lsih tht stays in my memory....

Hi syah4brit...the show had so many touching moments that's why it's hard to get over it easily but don't worry you're not alone, hehe.

.....few more lines that sounds corny but still is so sweet!!! hug.gif

- hyun-woo looking at their picture when he got back to his office from the airport:

"why didn't you stay for few more days, it's my birthday soon..i wanted to tell you.....that I was born to meet you!"

- hyun-woo's proposal being rejected by soo-in to marry him:

"running away because it's painful is not love, we should be there for each other."

- hyun-woo dragging soo-in the hospital lobby after learning she talked to his father to give him up:

"hyun-woo: you think telling my dad could end our relationship? LEE SOO-IN!
soo-in: i'm not scared, i can do anything for you!
hyun-woo: then...............live! no matter what!"

...i wonder where the writer got the inspiration to come up with these lines!

drama_freak....i hope somebody will create a site for LSIH lovers so we can join. clapping.gif

Hey guys. I was on another forum too busy getting blasted. Kinda funny. Anyway, I have a question, so please excuse my ignorance. I certainly don't mean to offend. Ok, here goes:

Why are there so many Kims? (Kim Tae Hee, Kim Rae Won, Kim Samsoon, Kim Ha Neul, Kim Sung Soo, Kim Jae Won, etc.) Does it mean something? In America, most people have last names that were passed down that defined their trade or their slave owner, for example. In the Philippines, there are many Spanish names because of the Spanish rule. Can someone enlighten me? I'm trying to understand the Korean culture better.

I read that there are no Korean middle names. For example Kim Tae Hee. "Tae" is not a middle name but part of the first name. Tae Hee is the first name. And Kim is the last name. So first name is sorta like their given name & last name is family name.

u can read some more abt korean names @ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Korean_name

the pie chart there shows 21% KIMs, 15% LEEs & 9% PARKs.

I think this series is just ok. For me it didn't have the usual "ok pop the next cd into the player, I can't wait to see what happens next" feeling but it was interesting enough for me to finish watching the series.

I agree with you stars13, Lee Chong Jin's english was atrocious for someone who supposedly grew up in the US. I mean, don't get me wrong. He did a good job in portraying a bad a** lawyer but whenever he'd speak in english, the believability lever goes down. I kept on thinking there's no way I'm believing that he's a Korean Lawyer who was brought up in the US. It made me want to hit the forward button lol

QUOTE (stars13 @ Nov 27 2005 4 16 PM)
Ive got the series and its very good.I dont regret buying it.

The good thing is that there is translation so they speak cantonese which is good so i dont have to look at the sub title but i wish they would translate the english at the start as well!

kim rae won has an excuse why his english is crap because he was born in korea but Lee Chong Jin has no excuse because his character is born in America. His english really annoyed me.

the only person who i understood was the second actress( forgot name)when she spoke english.

everyone said this serie's so great. I can't wait watching it now. How many eps are there in total? If it's really interesting serie, i would rather wait until all the eps coming out and then watch it. Because a good serie always make me jump to watch the ending. I can't wait till the ending's out.

hey... i would like to add another scene which i think is touching... no... wait... it's actually 2 scenes with the same dialogue... the first scene happened when they were in america while the other scene happened when they were in korea.. the scene in america is happened in the bathroom when Hyun-Woo hugged Soo-In telling her that he would try his best and that she should not give up as well (when she was in trouble for saving a man's life). The same scene happened in korea after their marriage where Hyun-Woo again hugged Soo-In telling her that he would try his best and that she must not give up (after both of them found out that Soo-In needs a bone marrow).

btw, there's a scene in series which kept me puzzled... it happened in america when Hyun-Woo found out about Brad's death and was searching for Soo-In. When he found her, he taught her how to throw a football and after that they were running and chasing after the ball. Well, after the running, both of them sat down and Hyun-Woo took a blue bottle from the ground. The question is where did the bottle come from? I noe that it's supposed to be Brad's present but i don't recall him taking the bottle with him after he left the hse and i also don't recall him having the bottle after he found Soo-In. And why was the bottle broken? Well, tat's the part that kept me puzzled... wacko.gif

laugh.gif drama freak now that you mentioned about the scene, do i notice it. I am puzzled too, he did not carry that bottle with him when he find soo- in. Anyway, i don't like to read too much about the story plot, as long as the story is nice and the actors perform well, i don't really care. Love story in harvard is indeed one of the best korean drama. I normally don't like to watch korean drama because it is kind of draggy and most of the time i am not interested. However, i really like this drama because of the strong chemistry between kim tae hee and kim rae won. The supporting cast perform well too. There are many memorable scenes in that show. I have been watching the show for some time now.
