yeah.. nothing beats the original, but I must say Toni Gonzaga's younger sister is actually funny.. Kim Chiu is still overacting, which amazingly worked for Lee Da Hae, but not for her.. but I'm liking the dream sequence, they actually pulled off SOME.. overall the drama is not too bad, it has its moment (talking about the remake).

I caught this series because it's currently airing (dubbed in Mandarin) on a channel where I am. It's a really, really, really cute series. I caught myself grinning/laughing my head off multiple times in the series, particularly in the first half of it. And now I want to watch it again, except in the original Korean with English subtitles. That's how good it is. Oh, and the kiss scene in the end is absolutely wonderful. Sweet, but also passionate.

Ah, does anyone know where I can find the track list of the My Girl OST in Korean? I've searched for it everywhere, but I can only find the transliterated/translated titles/names. I'm not actually Korean, but you can call it a quirk of mine - I always prefer to keep titles and names in their original languages.

Hey, i think I can help you guys.
If you want to watch My Girl, you can watch them all on tudou.com All series are available. For the ost, try Imeem? I'm watching My Girl now, and it gets more addicting after each episode. Definitely a must watch |

Haha, it's okay... I know what you mean. I like having the actual song titles somewhere 01. Yun Woo - 첨부터 [Chum Boo Tuh] 02. Mario and Nesty - Never Say Goodbye 03. KYO - 서른 번쯤 [Suh Reun Bun Jjeum] 04. Lim JaeWan - Alone 05. Jo KwanWoo - 상어를 사랑한 인어 [Sang Uh Reul Sarang Han In Uh] 06. Tree Bicycle - 늘 [Neul] 07. Park YongSuk - My Girl 08. Lee JiSoo - 사랑은 힘든가 봐 [Sarang Eun Him Deun Ga Bwa] 09. Kara - Alone [女 Female Version] 10. Park HeeKyung - 상어를 사랑한 인어 [Sang Uh Reul Sarang Han In Uh] [女 Female Version] 11. Song BoRam - Happy Happy 12. K2 - 사랑이 심심해서 [Sarang Ee Shim Shim Hae Suh] (credit for Romanization: sasakurat of asianosts) ----- So... I finally got around to watching this. Well, at least starting it. I just finished Episode 01. Here are my thoughts-- Although I don't think Lee DaHae is AS gorgeous as everyone else seems to think she is (I think she's more cute and pretty than gorgeous), I must say that I'm impressed thus far with her as an actress. She seems to be a pretty good-- and natural-- comedian. Her acting is a bit exaggerated, but NOT outside the realm of reason or believability. In fact, I feel as though Joo YooRin, her character, possibly WOULD act that way in "real life." As a seasoned fast talker and-- let's face it-- liar, she probably has a flair for the dramatic, and DaHae manages to pull off that confusing sort of almost "innocent" deception and exaggeration pretty darn well. It's a delicate balance, and I really can't imagine any other actress pulling it off THIS well... or, at least, not any better. She "sold" me on her character (and this drama) from the moment she began her little charade for the airport staff... sobbing really tragically-- and yet, also comically-- on the floor. Haha, the way her voice quavered... Her Chinese is decent as well. I can understand her without the English subtitles. As for Lee DongWook, he looks wayyy handsome from certain angles, and then there are some that aren't nearly as flattering. But his profile is to-die-for (I loveee profiles)!! His character seems sort of "typical" for a male lead thus far... but we'll see as the drama progresses how he makes him stand out I've never understood the appeal of Lee JunKi, but it's probably a matter of personal taste. He's too effeminate for me. But I want to keep an open mind and give his character a fair chance. He's not in this episode much, though. Only for a few cheesy moments in the bedroom I feel sorry for YooRin. I can't stand those types of good-for-nothing parents... it's obvious that YooRin still loves her father very much, but I think that's out of sheer LUCK on his part than anything else. She seems to have made the best out of very "bad" situations for nearly her whole life... and she doesn't lie because she's malicious or because she wants to "cheat" anybody necessarily... she lies because it's become a survival tactic. And maybe even something of a comfort... she can at least control what happens to her in these fantasy "scenarios." At any rate, she does seem to have something of a conscience... haha, working so hard on cleaning up the house and weeding the garden to make herself feel better for essentially "mooching" off Seol GongChan. It's cute. Although she did cross the line by selling GongChan's tangerines. But-- if she hadn't-- there'd be no My Girl! Hahaha. I'm liking the DongWook/DaHae chemistry already. I like the way that the camera shows GongChan secretly smiling at DaHae's antics. And at her little natural quirks, too... like the crazy happy way she began eating dinner after the Chinese businessmen and he gave her permission. Only complaint I have on that front is that it seems a BIT crazy that neither GongChan nor YooRin recognizes each other from the airplane. I'd think that GongChan would remember that "crazy girl." But it's really a minor complaint. Overall, I really liked the first episode. I also liked the sort of faint "parodies" of other Korean/Asian idol dramas... I'm guessing those effects were intended. They're a fun bonus And I'm looking forward to Episode 02 now!! This post has been edited by tammiest: Sep 3 2008 6 24 AM |

Totally agree with you tammiest, especially "I'm liking the DongWook/DaHae chemistry already. I like the way that the camera shows GongChan secretly smiling at DaHae's antics. And at her little natural quirks, too... "
The way he smiles at her cuteneess always makes me smile silently to myself Feel so great ya? |

I wanna watch this drama online but I'm having problems with mysoju.com, do you know where else I can find it (with english subs)?
I'm now at the beginning of episode 2 and it looks really interesting. The only thing I have problems with it's the second guy (can't remember his name) the one that woke up with the married woman.. there are moments that he looks a lot like a woman (no offence to his fans) This post has been edited by Girl from Mars: Nov 9 2008 10 01 PM |

My Girl used to be sooo addicted to this series its actually my most love korean series until now.
Even bought the original dvd for this one. Lee Dong & Lee Da Hae showcases the best chemistry ever they look so compatible, until now im still waiting for the day where they will announce to the world that they are together then i can die happily. i see there are still a lot of filipino my girls fans here, my girl was shown a few years ago and it was still the best. and to be honest the filipino remake is really bad, please dont kill me. |

Actually a lot of Filipinos hated it, they just ruined my fave drama. But you try to forget it and think that we didn't have remake, it's very effective. |

Hmm. My Girl. My all time favorite series. I haven't seen as many as people who live in Korea of course. But i've seen a handful and this has remained as my favorite.
The acting was amazing and the chemistry between LDH and LDW was so adorable and believable as well. I was always heartbroken whenever she was having a hard time about how much she loved him. and then when he found her later and he was following her around, it was a total change in character for him, because of that love. it was adorable. and he made me cry so much. they both did. I've seen this series twice, and i'm probably gonna watch it again. Plus, DongWook isn't bad on the eyes either. neither is JunKi who also made me cry a lot. all of the acting was really good. i love how Yoorin always says bashya. it's a cute way of saying fighting. everyone in my family says that now. keke. |

I love this drama
It's one of my favorite dramas. Lee Da Hae & Lee Dong Wook are a beautiful couple The story is great. Then the soundrack is extra . Small Question Where are can i find a instrumental version of OST. Because I want one in particular that which is happening in the last episode when Lee Dong Wook comes to see Lee Da Hae and he wants his birthday and that when Lee Da Hae comes home she sees the snowballs. If someone finds it that be great. |
