Cool and mysterious, is that the Hongo’s image? Lately he’s been showing face of pure boy. Hongo’s charm has developed from new encounters and partings. Over his 17 years of life, there were 4 people that has affected him.

1. Souta has most resemblance from his grandfather among relatives
Who was the person I had most impression from? …hmm, who would it be.
Among the relatives, that be my grandfather. Thou grandpa has died already, I loved him dearly. He was smart, had lot of talents, truly he was good at everything. Grandpa didn’t live close to me, but I visited him regularly.
Grandpa had lot of hobbies. For instance a magic trick. He was really good at it. Well, I don’t remember exactly anymore. I heard, he practice a lot. I don’t think he was professional magician, but his technique was so good. Almost semi-professional level. I was watching him always.
He was strong with a game of chance. I was thinking “He is so cool!”. I say is he was a person good at everything. His clothes or the appearance were common. He was like a Tomozo in a Amime called “Chibi-Maruko Chan”(smile) He also was like Moto-Fuyuki, an actor. Moto-Fuyuki did the part of Tomozo in a movie-version of “Chibi-Maruko Chan” I was very close to Grandfather. He told a lot of stories. I don’t remember the stories exactly. But I remember that I heard it with admiration.
When I was forth grader, Grandpa passed away. I was in great shock. It was the first time my relative died. Grandpa was in hospital for very long time. Heard the it was some serious disease that I could not visit in hospital. Mom stayed with grandpa. I and my brother stayed in home worrying.
Something I inherited from grandpa? hmm… Maybe ability for quick thinking? I shouldn’t say that myself thou. (smile) My family usually tell me so. I don’t look or act like my parents nor my brother. I have more resemblance with grandpa.
Only problem is that I might lose hair when I’m older.(smile)
Regarding being lucky with chances, I am very lucky. In work, the way I see other people, games. I just know when I can do it or not. In elementary school, I used to play Shogi (Japanese chess) with my grandpa. Oh he was so good at it. No matter how many time I played, or even with handicaps. Grandpa always won. I was thinking to myself “I’ll beat grandpa on shogi one day” Well it just won’t happen, I guess. I visit his grave. Lately it has been busy and I haven’t got chance to go home in Sendai and haven’t been able to visit him. Next time I get time to go home, will visit grandpa definitely.

2.Gackt
I was a big thing that I got to meet with Gackt as well. It was during a movie-shooting of “Moonlight child”. I was playing the role of Gackt’s childhood. Thou never had a scene we both showed up, but met Gackt in premiere couple time and talked together a bit. Then Gackt was in national tour “Gackt Live Tour 2003″, and Gackt invited me in. I was so grad.
From Hokkaido and down to Fukuoka. We went for about 14 concerts together. In this tour, Gackt was singing the song portraying his childhood, and I was standing nearby. I didn’t move much, just standing there pretty much.
Gackt is very hardworking. Never makes compromise. Never gives up. Always all out. I never slacked down being together with Gackt. Gackt look great, but then inside is also great. I was watching his rehearsals with awe.
During the tour, we had dinners together. Back then, I had many likes and dislike on foods. But Gackt told me “Souta will be able to eat them when you grow older” very kindly. It’s been some years since, we are getting along. He invites me to concert lives. Once in a while, he send me a e-mail “How you doing?” and I e-mail him back.
Gackt probably think of me as younger brother. He said “Souta, you have many older brothers, but you are one of few younger brothers I have.” I was so glad. To me, he is more of a person to admire then an older brother.

K: on the mother's day, i bought all the sweet my mom liked and gave it to her. that's about it.

K: i still have a lot of things i can't eat.

K: i think "liar game" is really cool.

K: yes. i went to kamakura recently. i really got into "taiyou no uta" and suddenly wanted to go to kamakura.

K: i don't think that. i can't swim and plus i don't really like sun that much.

K: i want to try those fashionable toast with egg and ham on it.

K: NHK "tukutte (making) wakuwaku"'s wakuwaku-san. when he came to my town for a event, i had my dad take me there. I wrote a letter to him, and couple days letter he wrote back along with a signature. it moved me a lot.

K: the back of motorbike.

K: i do. i haven't met anyone with the same name.

K: not really....it feels heavy, doesn't it?

K: even if i am constrained with my hands in my back, i can bring that to front (kanata do it in real). when i was little i was trying out different ways to escape if i am hold up, and one day i realized i can do this.

K: not really, it's almost always different.

K: i only lie to make things fun. (laugh)

K: i do, but i don't really like to watch same act, so i prefer "Lincoln" over "enta no kamisama"

K: eating snakcs.

K: not really because i usually forget about it after a good night sleep.

K: yes one. he's weird (laugh)

K: tennis. or batminton, pingpong, stuff that use racket, i am good at.

K: changing, then leaving house.

K: 16. It's not adult yet and feels really free.

K: if i am alone i listen to music or play DS.

K: camera.

K: my mom.

K: i want to float. it can be 5cm too but if i can i want to jump high in the air.

K: when i am done with what i was doing, i return them. but i always return mails though.

K: i always return about the same length of mail. if it's too short it's rude, and too long it's hard to read. i use emoji too. don't really like them but if i don't use it looks like i am mad or something.

Q84. if you are the only in the world what would you do?
K: i think i can sort of enjoy myself, i don't think it's that scary, and i can go to any places i want

Hongo Kanata is so cute I first saw him in MoonChild when he played young Gackt! I thought he made a really good Ryoma in The Prince of Tennis Live Action Movie. I love him now he is so cute and he is only a year older than me.
