^ LOL! I no longer care who's at fault anymore regarding the past. (The reason I'm saying this is I don't want to rely too much on what the reporters' perspective, but both must be responsible somehow.) The reason I think Jacky might be better off going solo (although he will struggle a lot getting back on his feet) is SDR is already a bad manager no matter how you look at it. (We all know how he promotes other artists under his management so...)

But I must admit IF (not ruling anything out since miracles can happen once in awhile) Jacky does re-unite with 183 Club somehow, it would be good in a sense that we get to hear him and Ehlo sing together aka carry the solo parts for songs! (They're a great team!)

i agree DTLCT that jacky and Yu Rong had a great partnership I love the YouTube clip where they stand side by side and sing affective line And they looked so cute together--sultry jacky and handsome Ehlo
i think jacky has incredible potential as a solo artist He used to do solo numbers during 183 Club concerts and they went down well Also I think that Gao Jie was a great album and it just wasnt promoted that well and that cover art --UGH!

Hi guys. Guess I shall post to make this thread lively again? xD
Anyway, all of us agree that 183 club is great and we hope they can be like last time, shooting idol dramas together, cutting albums, organising concerts and stuff. It isnt anyone's fault that they are no longer like they were before. In actual fact, the entertainment industry is such a way that no one (or in this case, band) stays on the top forever. The only thing we can do now is to continue supporting them and be prepared to be rooting for them if they having events in the future.

hmm...i cant exactly remember the date, but it was a episode split into two days, they were playing some zhen xin huan jue qing game...im afraid this is the most i can remember...
183 brings back wonderful memories...i especially miss seeing johnny and jacky on screen...hope 183 can be back together as one soon sobs :'(

What is tangerine? A group or something?

tangerine is another management company just like j-star. currently they have artist such as joanne zeng from sweety and chenyi etc. signed under them. jacky used to be under them before he went to j-star, so he was returned there after he left.

tangerine looks quite a good company. their stars have leading roles in several dramas. i think rui rui (xiaoxiao yu) is also with tangerine. rui rui has a leading role with mingdao in apple garden and qiaoqiao has it with shaowei in ah chu something? and with 183club in Magicians ..

now i have a good idea .. since jacky cannot go back to jstar .. hehe .. maybe he could act in a drama with 183club members, qiaoqiao, rui rui and chenyi .. say in a musical drama .. something like Grease or High School Musical .. that will be fun! we can hear the guys sing again together!

wah~ i also noticed jstar and tangerine artists always work together in dramas la. e.g. AQMFS, YYSJY, Mr Fighting, E Nu Ah Chu, Zi Jin Zhi Dian etc.
very likely the 2 companies will work together again, but will SDR allow jacky to work with his artists esp. 183?

I dont know for sure but i think jacky used to be with Tangerine before he was recruited by SDR to go in 183 Club And what i heard is that as soon as he got kicked out of the J-stars last year, he went to Tangerine and they signed him on again right away

Only i think he was determined to have a year of soul searchibng and recovery before he went back on the stage I agree I think Tangerine is good I hope for the best

shaowei is old? lolz .. err not really but he does looks a little 'old' now coz i think he puts on too much flesh on his face and it's continuing down to his neck sighz . but some exercises and a neater haircut might help shape him up like before .

actually my idea of a musical drama is for jacky to act together with 183club members, qiaoqiao and rui rui. and this time for a change, jacky and yurong will be the main male leads and they will get the girls! - jacky with qiaoqiao and yurong with rui rui hehe . mingdao and shaowei can take up supporting roles as the girls' brothers .. hehe .. sounds fun!

183club has not been active for a while. Till now, no one knows whether the group has disbanded or not coz there is no official announcement about it . However, there are unofficial news that 183club has disbanded long ago! This news seemed to come from one particular person lolz. We can't take that person's words seriously coz we are wondering about her mental state .

Note : Jacky got into trouble with the law a year ago and was subsequently sacked by his company. He is no longer with 183club. Now he is back on his own!. Go check out his thread for more info

Frankly speaking I feel that 183 feels more or less disbanded...I mean, even if they aren't, all the feelings are kinda gone. No Johnny and Jacky, quite...weird. The other three will do well individually, I feel. Mingdao acting, Sam in 5566, Ehlo maybe can continue singing or something....Still, I hope that they're NOT disbanded and one day they can present to us good works like what they did up till 2007 :]

mandy, i know what you mean. The remaining 3 members have not done anything together for a year.

I may sound a little mean here, but somehow I feel that with or without Johnny there isn't/won't be any impact on the group but without Jacky things are never the same again. But can I say the same if it is without one of these -> mingdao, shaowei or yurong? I don't think so. I like all the members ESPECIALLY mingdao but when I watch 183club, somehow, Jacky is the one I tend to look at more - I can't explain ..

You're just honest with how you see it, not mean (at least from my perspective). But if you watch talkshows or read certain articles, you'll know Johnny does contribute a lot even if it's not noticeable. He's like the glue that holds them together (well - used to) and being their encouraging leader at one point

I agree DTLCT Johnny I think was a very mature stable person I once heard a rumour that one reason SDR had Johnny in the group was that because he had interests in common with Jacky like basketball and because he (Johnny) was such a sensible person, he could talk Jacky out of his black moods I dont know if that was true or not but it could be true

Yes, he was. But for some reason, SDR is always the one to decide everything so it's sort of limited for Johnny there. (I know SDR is the manager but he should respect Johnny's decision and let him "lead" like he is supposed to and not interfere too much. That's why I don't blame Johnny for leaving at all. It's always so limited with stuffs anyway.)

There was this occasion where 183club was performing on stage at some public places and mingdao's mother came and appeared looking tired and sweating at her forehead and she went on stage and she talked about her son's hardship and she became emotional and cried and jacky was so nice, he discreetly pushed a handkerchief into mingdao's hands so the son could help wipe his mother's tears and sweats. That was really sweet of Jacky. He has a good heart. He cares for the elders. Up till now the members of 183club still keep in touch with Jacky and supports him .

i cant remember where i read it, maybe in a tabloid article but i got the idea that jacky was sometimes had very black moods before they went on stage and johny helped talk him out of it But thats just a rumour I cant verrify it for sure
I often wondered if jacky started smoking marijuana cos he found it hard to relax after performances Or maybe cos he was bored? I dont want to live thru all that again though

I really do miss this group! I followed them from the very beginning and still love listening to their songs. Although now it seems really hopeless that they will all get back together, wish the remaining group would come out with new songs or perhaps find new members? 183club attended the NIKE Jordan Melo M6 Party on 7 Oct 2009 in Taipei.

I am so glad the guys are still close buddies. Where is shaowei? Oh , in a mingdao-interview many months ago - when asked about 183club and Jacky Zhu, mingdao didn't quite know what to say so he did not say much but expressed his wish for a 183club 10th or 15th anniversay concert. I hope mingdao's wish would come true. Don't know what is it like to see the guys back together again on stage one day and sing us the songs we love to hear so much.
