here are some clearifications

*Thanks to mod for editing my post and adding this

1) the assistant was driving the car, XWL was the passenger
2) car lost control and hit the mid section of the highway which divides inbound and outbound traffic.
3) car spun out and finally pulled to a stop on the other side of the highway
4) XWL thought it was safe for her to get out of the car and she unbuckled her seat belt
5) this is when the truck rear ended them and this is why she had severe injury whereas the assistant still had her selt belt on and suffer minor injury.. NOTE*THIS IS A DOWN HILL HIGHWAY. (this is my assumptioni... "the trucker if loaded with stuff cannot pull to a complete stop even if it wasn't speeding. also this was 5 oclock in the morning...")
6) apparently all cars that get rear ended don't deploy front airbags. the only reason the two side airbags came out was because the assistant hit the car by the side on the mid section
7) passerby-ers tipped off the police that they saw the car going 120km/h--130km/h and pass them. but minutes later they saw the car stopped again on the right side of the road not moving. at that time the back of the car didn't show any sign of a crash. they later found out that the car sat XWL when they saw the news at home

i read de news saying dat her driver drive abt 120km/h--130km/h in de highway while on de way 2 shoot 4 weilun's new drama,itz at nite abt 11 sumthing....

update 1.29.07 in at night
police found out that the mini cooper has a blow in the tire on the driver side. police can't confirm if the tire blew because she hit the guardrail or if it blew then the car lost control and hit the gaurdrail. we don't know exactly which happen first and further explanation is needed by the asisstant or from investigation.

Feb 8th will be the Family FUNERAL. also they invited someone to write a special song dedicated to her. her best friend would be the singer.
Police are still investigating the scene to calculate the speed of the mini cooper. it is confirm that the last inpact from the rear forced XWL to be in such critical condition. the trucker talks that he didn't know who was in the car. but he did pay the respect to visit XWL for the last time. he also confirms that he wasn't speeding and was driving carefully. this was beleive to be true by the police. the police also took blood samples on the driver side to see who was the real driver. but the most important is if the driver was speeding. if the driver is the assistant we will see charges pressed against her.
Rainie has also came out to speak to the media that she will try her best to assist the family through whatever they may need

  Last night on the news channel, there were some more "coincidences" found on XWL's death. The movie "Death Note" is actually based on a manga. In the original manga (which they took a picture of) had a person dying on the 28th of January 2010. I'm not too sure why it had 2010 in the manga, which I predict that the manga is set in the future. However the main point is one of the characters died on the 28th of January.

I just want to clarify bout people saying that vic zhou didnt visit her. The truth is zaizai did visit her along with barbie they stayed like 20 min. and leaved at the backdoor of the hospital to avoid the press. Zaizai even sent xu wei lun flowers.

newest news shows that the police department has just went out to the scene of the accident to investigate the tire marks and the left over evidence to determine if the asisstant was speeding. also from additional news, we heard that XWL parents are planning suing the trucker and the asisstant.

Edit: So XWL unbuckled her seatbelt... it probably all happened so fast that it was hard to tell what was the right thing to do at that time...

So sad... She was just at the wrong place and the wrong time... i feel so sad for her family and friends...

yes the assistant was driving. we dont' know if the driver was speeding or not from the current source. but we do know that when she hit a mid section of the highway her car bounce from the mid wall to the center of the highway then to the side of the highway. the road was not icy, but i'm guessing the driver has no experience and try to steer the car back into control but made it worst. this is my assumption. please don't take this for accountability

oh, i see, its a downhill highway. so maybe XWL's car went out of control cld be caused by going too fast downhill or it cld be non-speeding but skidded on a oily patch or something on the highway.

anyway, i do rather pity the poor assistant if on top of the trauma of XWL's death, she will also be sued.

If it was just 8 hours then shouldn't the accident happen at night then? I mean something must have happen for the car to spin out of control like that. How tragic and bizarre. The poor woman was just fine untill she took off her belt to get out of the smashed car and move to safety. Fate works in cruel and mysterious ways.

At least she is no longer suffering. May she rest in peace and her family and friends bask in the loving memorie of her life and not drown in the sorrow of her passing.

It's normal for her parents wanting to sue the truck driver. When things settle down, they would have much to think about and let go if really it's not the truck driver's fault. Taipei, Jan. 28 (CNA) Hsu Wei-lun, a 28-year-old idol actress, died at a Taichung hospital Sunday, two days after she sustained a serious head injury in a car crash on Sun Yat-sen Freeway.

The car accident occurred late Friday night, when Hsu's assistant, Lin Yi-wen, drove her on a sedan southbound on the freeway. For still unknown reason, the car banged onto the guardrail and was then hit by a truck behind, in Sanyi, Taichung County, according to the police.

Lin suffered only light injuries, but Hsu was seriously wounded to her head and her chest and fell into a coma. They were rushed to Cheng Ching Hospital in Taichung City.

she had selt belt on from point 1 of the crash which was when they hit the mid secdtion. then when the car pulled to a complete stop she took it off to get out of the car. but the truck hit her
