Artists you don't really like because of their fans, Well, gimme your views :D Options

Do you have any artiste that you hate because of their fans? This might seem shallow to some but i certainly do have some.

1) FRH
Oh my, some of their fans that i have met are really rude and makes annoying comments! Some immediately slam you if you say something bad about FRH. I was in a shop where i commented a bit on FRH and i received stares from a certain group of girls! I was like "Chill man!"

When Ella and Chun came to Singapore to promote HanaKimi, Chun fans were really insensitive to Ella feelings. From what my friend told me, some just knock Ella or ignore her just to have a better view of Chun. Hey, you should at least respect the artiste!

I turned into a mild fan of FRH because of this and also some other reasons.

2) Twins
SHE and Twins are being compared by many since they are very similar. In some forums, some Twins fans are really harsh on SHE and are totally disrespectful. They just diss SHE. Well, they might have some bad experience with certain SHE fans, but i think they still shouldn't be too harsh.

I was with my guy friends at this CD shop... we were like laughing our ass off about how gay DBSK looked like (no offense) in one of the album covers we saw.

Although I had to agree that SOME DBSK fans do get on my nerves, what you and your friends said (and your behaviors) was indeed rude. If you were to say the same thing about my idols, I would be very offended as well.

I don't know what is worse - fans who claimed their idol's superior over another idol (and that artist is actually quite talented) or those who are ignorant of other more talented artists and doing the same thing. Fans who throws facts left and right about a certain artist and would defend that artist to no end because that person is recognized and is actually talented are getting overboard. Just because that artist is talented doesn't mean others are nothing. Their arrogant words and attitude are making other fans frustrated. It's funny that they would jump to defend that artist when others are talking about appearance and how they would come up with 'at least he/she is talented and it makes up for it' while it would be okay to bash another artist who is not as talented and might not be good-looking either. The second type I mentioned is equally as funny as the first one since they lack knowledge about an artist and his or her past works but would jump in to bash anyway regardless. It gets even funnier when fans from both sides go to 'flame wars' with one another. (Using nicely structured sentences or fancy words to make points do not make it objective or true either. We're all biased - more or less depending on the level of obsession on the artist.)

I'm a LeeHom , Jay and S.H.E fan and I saw 2 videos on Youtube of Aaron singing LeeHom and Jay's songs. And many FLH (not all), left comments saying that he sings better than LeeHom or Jay Chou. When I read this, I began to laugh.. haha, seriously, some FRH fans are so delusionals. They think that FLH's singing is so much better than Jay and LeeHom's singing . That is so not true!!

Some fans go way over board. It's like they have to bash other artist just so they can praise their own idols. (Im going to be hated for saying this) Sometimes GuiWang/Gui Gui fans can be very harsh. Though I'm not a Xiao Xun fan myself. Sometimes GuiWang fans can just bash on her really badly! Like they hate her. And sometimes wars against "Couple" Fans are really inappropriete.

usually im not a fan of those over popular idol, basically b.c of their fan, and i felt like they has more than enough support from their crazy fan.

i agree with all the jay chou's fans thing. i'm a fan of jj lin and leehom, both frequent competitors of jay unfortunately, and everytime i go to some youtube vids of them, there always have to be certain jay fans saying things like "LEEHOM IS GAY! JAY IS THE BEST!" or "JJ IS UGLY AND HAS NO TALENT, CHECK OUT JAY CHOU. HE IS THE BEST."

it's not even any vids comparing jay and whoever. it can just be an mv, or perhaps a vid of their performance which does not freaking involve jay.

but even though he has got a handful of pretty damn annoying fans, i don't really hate jay.

show luo's fans as well. he has gotten more popular nowadays but gained soooo much blind and immature fans (i so much prefer his fans when he wasn't that popular). i agree with kimcrack, since when was show considered a great singer? his fans just have to say he is the best in singing and dancing etc. there used to be a handful of fans who admitted his singing wasn't good, now? probably all overshadowed by his newly gained fans.

i dont know if im being to quick to point fingers at 2ne1 fans but seriously someone has got to tell them to shut-the-hell-up sorta thing. i havent come across it on af, but almost on every other 'koreanish' site ive come across related to 2ne1 their fans are so rude and cocky. 2ne1 are great i like them alot but theyre fans are such a turn off. of course not all, but enough to bang your head on the table after the 539247320471 one starts bashing on other artists from saying crap about how 'untalented' a certain group is to how they 'copied' off 2ne1 style it gets freaking ANNOYING.
2ne1 fans are doing nothing but earning themselves and 2ne1 a bad reputation. 2ne1 are rookies who merely had an experience of 1 year in the industry, id hate to think in the long run when they achieve further sucess how much more of this cocky attitude will get.
if 2ne1 do ever 'trip over' in their career it wouldnt be suprising if other fandoms start kicking dirt up 2ne1 fan's face, cause then theyll no exactly how it feels for other fangroups. rude, disrespectful and discusting. way to go in earning 2ne1 a bad reputation. but despite all of this i still do like 2ne1.

im actually quite happy that af is like almost the only place with the majority of 2ne1 fans are humble and respectful.

I'm a fan, I love their music, they are very talented for a manufactured group but their hard core fans got issues They will attack anyone and I mean ANYONE that even looks at their precious boys the wrong way. I used to think otherwise but I totally see your point now. Not to generalize but seriously, it's getting out of hand. Some of them claiming to be 'straight-forward' or 'speaking the truth' but it's just their opinions so they force others into their thinking just because the majority says so. Paramore - Went to No Doubt's concert. Paramore had just ended their set (may I add that I couldn't hear throughout most of it because the amps were up so damn high?) and I think half the crowd went out for a break before ND came on. I stayed and heard one of Paramore's fans say : "What's the next band called, No (something)?I bet they suck." Prejudging the main act? Cocky. Outside of that unpleasant part of a great night, their fans online don't fare that well either. They still think they're gods (though every artist has that type of fan) and most seem to fail to defend their idols.

*I could be a little biased at this, seeing that I think their music is generic and forgettable.

Someone who would "worship" their idols to this stage is just plain sad. They are willing to bash anyone who hates their idol just because of a differing opinion.

To me, I don't see why they bother. Its just making them look foolish and mad. They should accept the fact that their idol isn't flawless. In fact, no one is. And that's reality.

Am not referring to anyone in particular, but rather, everyone as a whole. So don't make it sound like ELF, Cass, and Triple S are victims. SOnes shouldn't have retaliated, but they weren't the only ones attacking. Both sides were at fault.

I agree all of them hasn't been proven. But u know, sometimes a person may think a little bit more. like when they all tearing up SuJu's poster, even in the middle of SuJu performance, stepping on them, it made the ELFs really mad at first. plus, The way Tiffany said SNSD one and SuJu isn't one, I believe, made many fans around the world pissed. and also, from the way Tiffany stare at JungMin one time, had also made Triple S mad. and Jessica didn't call Jae "sunbae". I agree It is wrong for them to boycott SNSD, even SungMin despite what SOSHIs has done, he still say to forgive them as they cared about him alot, and they're in one family, which is SMTown. Mostly kpop artists and Korean actors and actresses. I am not really a hater of Kpop or Kdrama. but the K-fans pisses me off. For example I dislike Boys Over Flowers (not really a hater but not a fan) I gave my opinions about the show. And I was surprised when I saw their childish comments like "YOU ARE JUST JEALOUS". because BOF is very popular and etc.

Or DBSK as an example of Kpop, if you will give a single negative comment. Expect a lots of stones thrown to you. (like DBSK members are also humans and they have flaws).

Most of the time, I try to like or dislike an artist just for his works or himself and not because of their fans. But I'm human too, and even if I at first have a neutral feeling to an artist, every time I see one or plural overboard fan of the artist, especially fans who put down other artists just to make their idol better, my dislike to him raises a little.

The perfect example is Hebe. I was very neutral to her, I didn't notice her presence in SHE. And when I became to notice her, it was because their fans bashing other artists on youtube. I mean come on, Hebe my be perfect in your eyes but not in everyone eyes, why do you need to say other is fake or anything, you don't even know her ! Worst than that, creating a channel just to bash. OMG, it's totally pathetic and absurd !
It goes the same way with Ella's fans, I'm now afraid of SHE's fans. They don't seem reasonable enough.

The almost perfect example is Xiao Xun. I kind of thanking her for spilling out the things about GuiLun's ambiguous relationship. I don't count myself as Gui Gui's fan, but seeing her being bashed is really painful. I mean come on, she has the right to lead her life as she wants, to do what pleases her. I pity the girl, what Gui Gui really did or does to deserve it. Thanks to Xiao Xun's immature fans, I start to dislike her now.

Ever since a became a KAT-TUN fan, there's 1 member's fans I've found to be particularly annoying, and they are Jin fans.
Not all, but SOME of them can be really irritating, some of their behaviors & antics are just unacceptable & rude. For example, a lot of the hardcore Jin fans actually dislike Kame very much, and often they would do extreme things to hurt Kame...if I remember correctly, once in 2007 when KAT-TUN were at a function of some sort (can't recall what specifically)...when Kame spoke, a group of hardcore Jin fans yelled at him & basically told him to "shut up!", which was so rude & disrespectful, and totally uncalled for! understandably, Kame was really upset & hurt.
Another incident happened during 1 of KT's concerts...when Kame went on the stage to perform a solo, some haters hurled abuse at him, telling him to get off the stage etc...I found out later on that some of those haters were hardcore Jin fans.
What's even more ridiculous is that some of these hardcore Jin fans "hate" Kame so much that they even attempted at "re-creating" KT's history, by fabricating all these stupid lies about Kame & KT as whole, making up stupid nonsense like Kame "has never gotten along with the other members", or "Kame is distancing himself from the others" or "the other members actually never liked him in real-life" etc & other ridiculous bullsh*t like that basically fabricating stupid nonsense by singling out Kame, and trying to push him out of the group. Which, they can just dream on, because Kame is a crucial part of KT & without him, KT will NOT be the same, and those anti-Kame hardcore Jin fans will just have to bravely accept that fact.
Many of the other outrageous anti-Kame antics were also carried out by extreme Jin fans, who dislike Kame very much. Their antics are just so immature & despicable

Of course, NOT all Jin fans are like that...there's still many other Jin fans out there who are more mature, reasonable & friendly. But the extreme of Jin fans, those who "hate" Kame, can be very nasty indeed...and being such a big fan of Kame myself, their immature actions really frustrates me sometimes
And what's even more upsetting is that these Jin fans are also from the same fandom as me, we're all KT fans, so we should all be joining forces & show our support & love for the group & its 6 wonderful members who define KT! Usually it is like that...but this whole "anti-Kame" business with Jin extremists within the fandom is really distressing.
Although there are also some Kame fans out there who don't like Jin either...but I seldom hear about Kame fans hurling abuse or resort to personal attacks on Jin...or trying to "re-create" KT's history by singling out Jin...so why are those Jin extremists acting so irrationally towards Kame? He hasn't done anything wrong to deserve this kind of treatment!

Another thing I don't like about some Jin fans is that they tend to think so highly of Jin...of course, it's normal for any fan to praise their idol...but the problem with some of these hardcore Jin fans is that they over-rate Jin so much so that, to them, they believe that he is the "best", that without him, the group would just not work...or that he is the "only worthwhile" member in KT...and that, to me, is really going too far!
Yes, I admit that Jin is a crucial part of the group, without him, KT would not work...but it's the SAME case with the other members too! Without either of the other members, the group would just NOT be the same! KT is NOT just about Jin! It's about ALL the 6 members; Koki, Kame, Maru, Ueda, Junno AND Jin! They are all different, but EACH are a crucial part of the group, it's ALL 6 of these guys & their individualities which defines 'KAT-TUN'! Jin needs the group, and the group needs him, KT needs ALL 6 of its members in order to thrive, and those Jin fans need to accept that fact!

I have also noticed that often some Jin fans don't really appreciate the other 5 members much & all the hard work these guys have put into pleasing & entertaining us fans. To them, it's all about Jin, Jin, JIN...their main focus is always on him...without him, these fans wouldn't even give the others a 2nd glance, which is really bias of them I think.
For instance, lately Jin has been absent from recordings of the group's TV show 'Cartoon KAT-TUN' due to illness, and was not present in the last 2 eps aired, and it seems like he's absent for next week's ep too...but because of Jin's absence in recent eps, many of his fans in Japan complained that it's "boring" without him & didn't bother to tune it, thus the ratings dropped to very low for the show. This really irritated me when I found out I have streamed the recent eps & I did not find them "boring" at all, in fact, I really enjoyed those eps, the guys were very funny & acting like always, the eps were very entertaining, and the vast majority of other KT fans who've watched those eps all agree with me & they all enjoyed them too.
I suspect those Jin fans didn't want to watch those eps just purely because Jin wasn't there...which I think is very bias to the other 5 guys, because the drop of ratings effects them. Even with Jin's absence, the show must go on, and all the other 5 guys had worked so hard to keep the show entertaining & pleasing for their fans. But those Jin fans just couldn't be bothered to give them a chance
Frankly speaking...I personally don't really pay much attention to Jin on CTKT, since he doesn't really do much at all on the show...except when he's on 1 of those on-location shootings...so to be perfectly honest, Jin's absence from recent eps did not effect me at all.
HOWEVER, if 1 of my fav KT members were to be absent from a ep, I would still watch it, for the other guys' sake...since I acknowledge all the effort these guys put into for every shooting of each ep & I appreciate all their hard work. So I would still tune in to watch, even with my fav members missing.
Of course, I'm not expecting those Jin fans to like all the other 5 members or to watch every single ep of CTKT...all I want is for them to just at least appreciate the other members more & acknowledge all the efforts they've ALL put into their work & their great dedication to their fans.

I don't dislike Jin, and I certainly do NOT "blame" him for his fans' actions...after all, these celebs cannot control & are not responsible for their fans' actions. And I know that Jin himself is often upset & disappointed with his own fans' actions...back in '07 during that incident, after his fans hurled abuse at Kame, Jin told those fans to "shut up!" too, obviously very upset & annoyed with his own fans' behavior. I guess that could spark a debate about whether or not what Jin said to his fans then was appropriate...but I can understand how he must have felt at the time. I mean, if I was in his position, and seeing my bandmate being treated so disrespectfully by my own fans, I would be really frustrated, annoyed & disappointed with them too.

Lastly...I am aware that a few fans of some of the other KT members also behave rather similarly to those irrational Jin fans...but they, in comparison, are not nearly as extreme as those hardcore Jin fans I've came across...and not nearly as many either.

Remember, I'm simply referring to those irrational Jin fans, and NOT "all" Jin fans in general...so I hope there won't be any misunderstandings...I do apologize if I had offended any Jin fans out there though.

hate is a very strong word for me ..I never hate artiste because of their fans but I admit sometimes fans' behaviour may make me slightly dislike the artiste , not hate..however , I must say that I actually definitely dislike fake fans ..what I mean is , for example , fans that said they don't dislike nor they like this artiste in one thread , but in another thread or perhaps in some other threads , I find the same fans actually bashed the particular artiste..aha..this kind of fans really annoy me a lot .. .

I find some TVXQ fans and fans of other Korean bands and stars, just Korean pop culture in general, annoying sometimes. Many of them are so obsessive with Korean pop culture that if someone was to say something bad about it, or give a criticism. They attack this person or say something ridiculous like this person is just jealous that Korean things are so popular. It's very annoying! I find that really rude. I don't think Korean celebrities and series etc are that great. I know many people also have very similar feelings to me. But I see so many fans of Korean celebrities and series being rude to those who don't see Korean things the same way as they do. It's really not nice at all.

There's also some Jerry Yan fans who are a bit annoying sometimes. They are similar.When someone criticizes Jerry, some of his fans attack and start comparing Jerry to a celebrity you like. And making unnecessary comments.

And I did not expect Crystal to mention Jin fans here. But I'm glad she did because I feel the same way. I am also a big fan of Kat-tun! I especially love Jin and I am a big fan of him, and a big fan of Kame and Yucchi and Koki too! But it's true that some of the Jin fans are very rude that it really makes me disappointed in them. They behave very badly towards Kame especially. And then Kame fans fight back. Being a fan of them both, it's very sad for me to see some Jin and Kame fans fighting each other. While fans of the other four members usually communicate very harmoniously with each other and with some Kame and Jin fans too. But Some Jin and Kame fans still don't like each other.
But I think what is even more sad is that some other people judge Kat-tun fans in general as being very "hostile" with each other. And that is not true at all! I think these people take notice of those fighting Jin and Kame fans too much. And these fans are only a small percent of the entire Kat-tun fanbase! There's still many other Kat-tun fans communicating nicely with each other. No matter if they love Jin, or Kame or Koki or Yucchi etc.

^Omg I completely agree with you Lorene about those critics who criticize KAT-TUN fans!
Ok sure, so some Kame fans & Jin fans dislike each other & the other's idol and tends to criticize the other's idol with many Jin fans often criticizing & bashing Kame & vise versa. But they do NOT represent the entire KAT-TUN fandom! Even with all the more "hostile" KT fans put together, they are still only a small portion of the entire vast KT fanbase! But often these more troublesome fans attract a lot of attention from other people and fellow KT fans alike, because they tend to cause quite a lot of commotion within the fandom with their constant bickering with each other.
Sometimes it may seem like there's a lot of Jin and Kame fans constantly at each other's throats..but like I have emphasized before, these more "hostile" KT fans put together are still only a small portion of the large KT fanbase! The vast majority of KT fans in the fandom still get along well & very friendly with each other over all...and like Lorene mentioned, almost ALL fans of the other 4 members are always very civil with each other. And there's also still a lot more Kame and Jin fans out there who are civil with each other too.

So it really irritates me to the bone when the non-fans & other ppl start criticizing & generalizing us KT fans & comparing the KT fandom to other fandoms, making stupid remarks like "the KT fandom is like this...while our fandom is like that..." acting like they understand us KT fans, when in fact, they only know very little or nothing at all about us Often they just judge the entire KT fandom purely based on those "hostile" fans, which is just so bias & ignorant of them!
And what's even worse is that sometimes, some of these ppl don't like KT themselves just purely because of how some of their fans behave, or how these fans are "alleged" to be like in the eyes of those non-fans. It is so annoying & unfair to the KT guys themselves who have worked so hard in their careers! I mean, they cannot control how their fans behave or say, so they should NOT be held responsible for their fans' actions or behaviors.

People should find more LEGITIMATE reasons to dislike a particular artist, a particular aspect about the artist him/herself that you may not like, such as maybe you find the artist is not talented etc. But one should NOT dislike a particular artist just because of the fans, after all, these artists & celebs cannot control their fans' behaviors.

And those ppl who generalize KT fans should understand that EVERY fandom out there has some troublesome & conflicting fans who argue with each other, and NOT just the KT fandom!
