^lol i dont really know what he was dancing but it was on Sina so it was probbaly something the fans requested :unusre: i tink it as a dance thing. I fast forwarded while watching cuz i got bored so i missed alot of what happened to mochi gege haha. actually i got all the violin scene just some of the others

Hey, so I'm totally new to this thread and the idea of reading anything about Henry. Like, for example, for the longest time, I've always thought he was of Hong Kong descent. Guess I was wrong. but I do have several questions...if he's originally from Taiwan and that he doesn't know any Chinese, how does he communicate if he can't even speak Korean? That's sooo..wierd...

Henry gege was born in Taiwan but then his family came to Canada when he was little so thats why he is dominant in english.
He actually does know chinese but just cant write the characters, but he is learning He knwos both Mand. and Canto but becuase they were like his 2nd 3rd languages he cant understand as fast as HanMi.
Henry gege knows Korean too. when he was a trainee he had to learn korean. He isnt the best but he still knows so thats how he talks to the rest. HanMi also trasnslate for him since they fluent. Plus Suju also knows english so even if use english the others would be able to understand his point.

Im not really familiar with Henry but i original thought he could speak Korean well basing on the fact that he is in Korea and part of an korean band whom also sings korean.

And i knew he can speak mandarin but just not fluent and only knows a little.
But recently i came across superjunior M's yahoo interview and guess wat, HE SPOKE CHINESE.
I expected him to speak in korean, but it mandarin.

About the Korean language skills, I kinda figured that he'd have to learn that while as a trainee under SME. It's the the communication with Mandarin and Cantonese that had me a little questioning. Thanks anyway, because people said that his Chinese is not the best, but he's in the SuJu sub-division for China, right? so yea...

i don't think henry has dimples. Even if he has, they're probably not that visible maybe it's because he has too much baby fats on his chubby cheeks. i have to say he's really very photogenic. he looks better smiling without showing his teeth, and when he does show his teeth he looks just like a baby casue his teeth are really small.

henhae being promoted now eh? well it doesn't really matter cause i love both henwook and henhae since they're equally cute and worth spazzing over. yet another henry icon you have. did you make like hundreds of them? He should be able to speak a little of hokkien too since one of his parents is from taiwan. Canto is hard even though i'm cantonese i can hardly speak the language, only able to understand it. gege can understand canto? that's weird. china people have their own province dialects so i'm surprised he knows canto. i'm sure henry is already used to the skinships(: yea henry's english is awesome. sometimes his voice can be soft, and the next moment it's really strong and impactful, like in his eng rap when he said "hear something like this" before playing the violin compared to his chinese rap in the front part of marry U. yea i was really SHOCKED that henry bathes the least. But well this shows that he practises ALOT until he's so worn out to bathe.

i keep seeing pictures of videos that the boys are in but i don't see them being uploaded online i can't find the shows! yup he's born on October 11, 1989. That's only 2 years older than i am! you? it'll be cool to play him a duet together. maybe he'll just teach us a few steps while playing on the violin. yup all of henry's siblings play the violin but it looks like henry's the most successful or popular amongst all of them. do you think those violins are his? i think they're just rented or sponsored by the company. i don't think he's that rich afford so many violins like those! super expensive.

But he actually is fluent in chinese, he just doesnt talk cuz he doenst like it when he gets boo-ed. so unless he is asked to talk he usually just sits there quietly.
And he knows korean too.. in the SJM dorm all of them use korean to communicate.

that's so true, i downloaded a whole lot of sjm's interviews, and the only thing that got my attention to continue watching the show was haewook skinships with henry. omg did you see hae suddenly touched and sort of carress henry gege's chin? then wook went to tidy henry's hair and then pinched his cheeks! those moments kept me awake when watching their interviews. it's kind of bias actually if you realise quite a number of questions are targeted only for hannie to answer. but it's not surprising afterall they're in china. what henry is loaded? well since all his siblings play the violin i'm sure they got the same talent as henry and won many competitions so they probably earn themselves lots of prize money. henry said "yo yo yo wassup" in some interview that was so cute cause you can hear his accent it's really cool. nope i've not seen the charity show, mind giving me the link? yea the boys said henry's the most shy one amongst all of them. henry's eyes are so small in those pictures you posted is he even opening his eyes?

it's time wook posted a photo of him and mochi since they're good friends. when henry smiles you can't even see his pupils. His eyelashes are kind of long as well right? The charity show is out already they're auctioning their own items to help the victims of the earthquake is it? You know, i was just thinking of the mtv asia awards thing. SJM will never be nominated, so that's kind of sad. It was on the NetEase interview that hae suddenly started stroking henry's chin in the middle of the interview they were getting restless i guess. Yea their interviews are kind of standard you'll hear super loud cheers for hankyung and siwon only. And it's basic cause after interviewing, they test the boy's standard of chinese and then get them to do a solo each. I always look forward to henry's dances or violin performances. I saw a clip of henry at a compeitition in canada probably when he was around 15 or 16 and he performed the longer version of the one he always does on shows. So he's been doing that performance for about 3 or 4 years no wonder he's such a pro at that. His siblings play the violin as well. Maybe the piano too cause henry plays the piano as well. But he can't promote his piano or it'll overshine wookie then ELF will complain.

The actual letter that hae oppa wrote to Mochi pre SJM. Muahaha but first this is a fanaccount from an SM trainee who saw SJM members:

Today I saw Siwon Donghae Hangeng, and a woman who I guessed was the Chinese teacher, another person who at first I thought was Ryeowook, () but after looking closely a few times I found out that it was Henry with a baseball cap. It seemed like they were resting, Hangeng ran to the front to do something, Siwon was using extreme hand gestures to express the music’s rhythm. Donghae put down the song lyrics in his hand, stretched his hand toward Henry next to him, and drew something in Henry’s lyrics booklet, and then waved his hands around and [I] could also hear a off-key dadadada noise. (mochi' bad sining).

And then Donghae kept on pulling back and forth on Henry’s booklet, moving here scratching there, felt like Henry was looking at Donghae bullying him, really felt like those two had really good mutual feelings [*Note: means they have a good friendship], then Siwon pulled Donghae, and Donghae didn’t respond, still only had his attention on Henry~

and here comes the actual letter.
Recap: this is the same letter that he wrote that SM cut down to "With the existence of Henry we as SJM can succeed in China."
“Everytime [I] saw Henry in the company, he was always alone, quietly practicing in the building, holding the violin, practicing in front of the mirror over and over again. Once when I passed the practice room, saw Henry practicing the violin, playing and dancing at the same time, I became entranced, it was really exciting, [his] movements were very on spot, and very classic. His body seems to be have the right degree of flexibility, so the dancing looked good. After he finished dancing, his whole face was covered with sweat, and he kept raising his left hand, I think it probably fell asleep, so after seeing Henry lightly putting down his violin, and then gritting his teeth and shaking his hand, I could feel his pain. At the time I thought, in order to keep up with the group, this kid quietly endured a lot of pain, but he never said anything, didn’t’ bother anyone, just practiced alone, everytime he went on a show, everyone was worried for him, because dancing and playing violin at the same time is an extraordinary difficulty, but every time he finishes to everyone’s applause. Henry’s really good, please support him, everyone! With the Existence of Henry we as Super Junior China can now meet great success in China!"
