that photo she took was with someone she cared about. Now think about this, she's still a young girl...only 18 or so. She didn't know any better that some guy whom she thought she could trust would throw her under the bus.

Now I'm not saying that having nude photos of herself was the smartest thing to do...but that doesn't make her a fraud. She's a performer and an actress, what she does on the stage has no meaning on her real life.

I do think you should really consider how fair you are when no one is perfect and not everyone has complete control over things like this. I think the person of blame who got lost in all this is the Guy who probably thought he could ruin Vanessa's career by throwing this picture to the media.

Role models can't take nude pictures of themselves? I see my parents as role models, so do I need to tell them to stop having a sexual relationship because I don't like it? So what if she wanted to send her nude pictures to her boyfriend? It is very common and normal, it is just unlucky that it got spilled all over to the public. She came out to apologise almost immediately over the photos. That's not bragging. When did she brag about those photos?
You don't know if she wasn't sad. You aren't her or her close friends. She could have been really upset.

She made a mistake. She was young. It was a nude photo for her boyfriend or something and at that time, she probably really believed her boyfriend or something who probably wanted the photo from her. She would have smiled for the photo then isn't it?
She might not have known the severity of her actions and thought that it was ok or maybe her boyfriend or whoever influenced her into thinking it was alright so she was just took the photo and smiled for it. I don't see anything wrong with smiling for a photo, especially since she's possibly under the idea that there's not much wrong with taking that photo.

The big deal with this photo is that it leaked out. And she played a innocent girl for DISNEY. So people tend to mix up real person and the character she played.
She might not be as innocent as she seem as Gabrielle. But that doesn't mean she's slutty and all.

When Vanessa's photos came out, I thought to myself, what a stupid thing she did. Things always have a way of leaking, so celebrities should really protect themselves.

But in her defense, these were meant to be private pictures. She wasn't purposely posing naked for the public. She came out and owned up to her mistake, and she even said that she regrets it. Which I thought was a very responsible thing to do.

Personally, I think Vanessa is an awesome singer. She has a great voice and she's quite adorable as well. I think her career could go far.

I agree with many people here. Vanessa was taking the pictures privately, it was just that it got leaked out. When people are young, they often do things that are damn stupid. They are human, they make mistakes, too, just like us. Just because she's an actress/singer/role model, doesn't mean that she can't be forgave if she makes a mistake.

I don't believe that she is the only human in the whole world that takes nude pictures of herself. It was unfortunate for her that the pictures got leaked out. Maybe there are nude pictures of other teenage girls that were circulated through the net, but are they as much hated? Just because they are not role models?

Yes, Vanessa, too, has faults. She knows that she is an artiste in Disney, so on her part, she should not have taken the photos. If she had taken it before joining Disney, she should have the initiative to destroy the photos and not regret by the time it was leaked. Yet, if she had predicted all these, it wouldn't be a mistake.

Still, it was responsible of her to apologise, which was the best thing she could do now.

About whether she sent the nude pictures to Zac or not, it might not be true, unless she admitted it herself. If it's just a rumour, why should you believe it? So this is where the argument was going on. Haha I had this debate in one of the other threads. Anyways, it's not exactly "hate." Rather, it's disappointment that for a young girl to represent Disney and do such things, it's inappropriate. She should know that because she has so many young fans, she'll have to play the role model by acting decent. This isn't to say that sex is prohibited. She's of legal age, so she can do what she wants. BUT she should really make sure that she isn't being watched. It's not easy in the Hollywood world.

As for her acting, I've never watched HSM, nor do I ever plan to. Based on all the hype and excitement, I can't help but find it annoying.

I was shocked when I found out about the pictures. I didn't know the whole story, even till now. Some say she sent the picture top Drake Bell, some say she sent it to Zac Efron. I don't know which one is the real story. Not that I care that much though.

I felt that it was kinda stupid for her to take picture of her naked and send it to her co-start or whatever. If it's Zac Efron I would it's perfectly normal. Perhaps she's a little too comfortable with her own body. It's sad that people are judging her and bashing her because of that. I mean, it's not like she purposely leaked it out right? Her career is doing well right now, she must've been outta her mind to leak it out. What she does with her life is completely her right. Even she's an idol. Her fans aren't that stupid to follow evrything that she does. Come on, even kids can think.

Hopefully she won't be kicked out from HSM coz of that. To have or not have sex is completely up to her. Same goes with the nude pic. She could have been more careful with it though.

I feel so sorry for her..I dont like HSM but I have respect for her..She is a great actress..It was a mistake coz the pics were supposed to be private..I personally think that she should be given another chance..BTW How come Vanessa Haters Always bring up the Naked Photo incident up.

Seriously.. that ONE photo of Vanessa is like ages already, she is not yet even
famous that time nor is she casted in HSM! Who would have known she would
be famous now.. It was taken privately meant for someone she care a lot.
She readily admit it and apolgized for it and that what makes me proud of her.
She is not some girl pretending to be innocent and that she enjoyed her youth.
That mistake is something that helped her become the kind young woman
she is today.

I feel happy that her career is doing good, she just finish a movie WILL as one of
the lead actress, her sophomore album will be released on June and she's doing
HSM3. She might do promo tours as well for her upcoming album on top of it
all her relationship with Zac Efron is still going strong after 3 yrs of being together.

As for her bragging about it, I think if she really wanted to brag, it would be something else... not taking nude photos of herself. She could have gotten kicked out of HSM 2(?).. do you really think she's that stupid?

Actually if you type in Vanessa Hudgens into google images you'll be able to see her nude pictures, most of them with stars covering some parts of her body. Kids today have easy access to computers and the younger they are they are able to do more on the computers, so it's bit of a travesty that a teen queen for kids tv shows is nude and her pics are on such easy access.

Actually the pics came out to the public after the success of HSM 2, not before. Although the pics were taken before HSM 1 was even made for her former boyfriend Drake Bell. I felt bad for Zac Efron since he was embroiled in the mess because he was "currently" associated with her...when the pics were really for her former boyfriend.

Even if you type in High School Musical into a link and want to get pics of just the group, you'll find nude pics of Vanessa Hudgens...Disney can't have that image associated with them. Hence the reason they dumped Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears videos from their channel. If you go naughty even if you're clean personally (Britney was clean at the time) they'll get rid of you. Vanessa Hudgens is one of them...she seriously messed up her image and even if she didn't want to do it, this is the US, the paparatzzi will get anything on you and screw you up. Lucky for her, nuetrogena loves her, because Disney doesn't.

What's unfortunate for Disney is that the kids---nearly 17 million and some adults, such as myself, who love HSM 1 and 2 have grown used to her. Though the rumor that's been going around and Disney (their official site) has not confirmed either way...is that maybe Adrienne Bolin (Cheetah Girls) might take up the role of Gabrielle or just the dump the character altogether. Since I liked CG too, I say shoot, put her in it. Adrienne is a better actress.

Now I don't hate Vanessa or even dislike her. In HSM, I tolerated her character cause she's a crap actress. Really, I was appalled. Normally, Disney is very critical and tends to pick some pretty decent actors/actresses. It's a bit of a surprise since I tend to think some of the Disney actors are pretty good...Vanessa just is awful. Zac is exceptional and it was kind of hard to watch HSM (1&2) with the critical eye I have since she was so bad she would have ruined my experience. But everyone else was great so I focused on them and ignored her. This incident is pretty bad.

Now I have read some things that she's a role model and so she shouldnt' have done this...or it was private so she could do it. My issue was her age at the time she was doing. This didn't come out last year or anything she was about 15/16 or so when she did that. Totally inappropriate in my opinion for those types of actions. Not that I fault her, this is American culture and society---Slut Sells...and that's basically the idea. I don't if any of you have seen the things being sold to the younger generation and Vanessa unfortunately is a product of our society. She has indulgent parents and obviously unsupervised in much of her actions and those she's with..to her even if it was for a boyfriend she felt it was in some way cute. I think it's appalling to see children at this age doing things that have ruined the lives of adults. Most people this happens too it ruins them and they were manipulated into doing it, she on the other hand did it willingly.

At this point, I don't hate her, but I was never a fan of hers by any stretch of the imagination.

Vanessa did what she did, but she obviously ran out of luck & her pics were leaked. What can she do about it? She already apologized about it and is now brushing it off. but I am not defending her I'm tell ya guys the truth. I don't like her but I don't HATE her. I mean isn't hating her just a little much? There are stars and celebs out there who have done WAY worse things then Vanessa. Come one at least she didn't get pregnant or publicly do drugs.

Personally, I think her nude photos getting leaked out are a big deal. But well,it's really not her fault that they got leaked out, but she just should've been more careful. Celebs are people too, so if she wanted to take nude pics, her choice. That's why when the sex scandal in HK happened, I felt people were being a lill too harsh....
I don't like Vanessa, but it's not for the reason cuz of her photos. I never liked her in HSM either and that was before the photos.
