Story Overview:
In the 1920's, a large family run Kwong Wan Ship Company has a storm brewing...

As the third heir and owner of the Kwong Wan Ship Company, Chow Ming Hin (Damian Lau) bears a pressure that cannot be understood by others. To the outside world, he has to face with competition from his peers; internally, he has to deal with the family struggles for power. Even though his wife Lee Tak Yung (Lui San) cannot help him to bear his heavy burden. In the Chow family, only the servant Ng Yuk Hing (Angie Chiu) can truly help Hin and he wants to take her as his second wife. However, before Hing can enter the family, there is news that the wedding has been called off.

Chow Tin Chi (Julian Cheung) goes against his mother Yung's opposition and falls in love with Ho Seung Hei (Charmaine Sheh) who comes from a poor background. When something happens to Hin, Chi has to learn to look after the business. With little life experience, will he be able to face up to his devious uncles?

If it weren't for Julian being so childish and immature, the scenes wouldn't light up. Julian is the comic relief in here. I would hate to see him grow up and be mature as this series progresses, which I know he eventually will.

julian might seem rude and annoying in the beginning but then he starts getting nicer towards the middle nd the end.

I love this series! Charmaine and Julian are so funny and cute. Julian and his 2 friends do lighten up this series...It'll be boring if he was mature because then the series would be all serious. I can't wait 'til Charm and Julian get together. Julian's so cute. happy.gif

Ehh..am I the only one here that doesn't like Sammuel in this series? Its like, if it wasn't for him, then Julian and Charmaine could had a chance to remain together. I mean, all of a sudden he comes and helps her and she loves him because he was there for her after she broke up with Julian? Somehow I don't like that idea. =/ Imagine how hurt Julian felt when Charmaine married Sam after all her and him has been through. That sucks! But at least Julian still ends up with Charmaine. I'm still loving this series though! Great so far.

well i don't hate sammul. sammul did love her and charmaine did love him back. i think they make a good couple and sammul is so cute anyways i do feel sorry for julian too. he must have been so hurt. im not on either side.

yeah i like Damian's character...and this was the 1st time ive seen Angie Chiu aswell...she's actually quite good and yeah she looks young 4 her age!!

ive noticed that a lot of the older actors/actresses look really young 4 their age!!!

I just love this series. Charmaine & Julian is just two beatiful people. Although Charmaine sometimes look kinda weird. I think her face is too skinny, makes her look weird. Other than that...she's so gulliable in this movie. Feel bad for her..
As for Julian, I know some have said that he's a snob because he's rich, but he's really a good person...he's so cute and I can't get enuff about him... smile.gif
I feel really bad for the father, carrying all that burden for the family, keeping the family buz together but it's sad that he pasted away. I thought that he would be one of the main characters.
Poor angie..always getting yelled at..and doesnt even fight back one bit. Love her!
