Ella Selected as Chinese Lyra, Wednesday November 14, 2007 Taiwan Options

Ella in Taiwan Pop music group S.H.E was selected through an internet survey as the Chinese Lyra, the heroine in the upcoming movie "The Golden Compass".

Tungstar reported on Wednesday that over 10,000 people who took the survey voted Ella from among all female stars in Taiwan, saying Ella resembles Lyra the most when it comes to having an adventurous spirit.

Ella rejoiced at the news and thanked her fans at a promotional event for the movie on Tuesday.

The fantasy movie "The Golden Compass" is based on the first story of Philip Pullman's "His Dark Materials" trilogy.

The movie is scheduled to hit the big screen on December 7.

yeah!! Ella won! I voted for her, so happy that she finally win, no surprise there. hehe. I was planning to see "the golden compass" to when it comes to theater but yes, unfortunately I won't be able to see her dubbed, right? because I don't understand Chinese but congrats everyone for voting for ella and congrats to ella too for winning it!!!
