Rain and Yun Eun-Hye Are China’s Favorite Hallyu Stars


According to recent surveys, singing sensation, Rain, and rising star, Yun Eun-Hye, were selected as China’s favorite Hallyu stars.

A Hallyu star popularity vote was cast on the 15th, on a Chinese website by the International Reelection Hallyu Channel (gb.cri.cn/18991/2007/11/14/Zt113@1842259.htm). Rain and Yun Eun-Hye took in an overwhelming number of votes, and were crowned as the top Hallyu stars of 2007.

A total of 15 male and 15 female stars were in the running, and on the morning of the 26th, Rain was bringing in 2,193,388 votes leaving the runner-up, Lee Jun-Gi, far behind in second place. Ju Ji-Hun at the time coming in 3rd place, proving to becoming an up-and-coming star.
Female Hallyu stars were swept away by actresses currently appearing in dramas. The heroine of the drama ‘Gung’, Yun Eun-Hye received a record 2,811,769 votes while Han Chae-Yeong and Song Hye-Gyo came in at 2nd and 3rd with 809,706 and 372,761 votes respectively. Currently on tour in Japan, ‘Asia’s star’, Boa took 106,414 votes, while sexy singer Lee Hyo-Ri received 84,725 votes, standing their ground at 4th and 5th places.

For the '2007 Hallyu Stars with the Most Potential’, netizens selected Super Junior’s Hangeng, and Gan Mi-Yeon, currently awaiting to make her debut in China, as their top picks.

The survey is to last until December 31st in the midst of critical times for Hallyu stars in China.

I'm so proud of JJH and YEH. YEH got the number 1 spot while JJH is in no.3 for the guys, not bad for JJH coz Mawang was aired in the first half of the year and yet he's still in the top 3!

i'm hoping to see a more... matured? (less cute) YEH.. so far, while her photoshoots are very beautiful, sexy, matured, it's not really like yeh YEH. more like... the image of YEH while wearing fashionable clothes. being beautiful for beautiful's sake ^^:: hope you guys know what i'm talking about @_@

maybe a frontal shot with her looking straight into the camera, tight cropping of the picture, natural make-up and simple clothes. i'd love to see a real YEH, just being herself, beautiful, honest, sincere (not that she isn't in the other photoshoots) and not being too caring of her poses or what not. sorta like capturing her true essence?

that's why i love doing portrait photography ^^ and seeing portrait photos by other photographers.

imcrazyforyou, im sorry if I'll sound bitchy this time but its obvious that we will not agree on that article you posted. By the way if you are not aware popseoul always love to write negative things about JJH so can I ask you a favor to please remove that article in this thread. Coz I think it will not do any good and its not an interesting topic to talk about. Anyway there are a lot of bubbles floating around and I dont want to dwell on the negative aspects people will say on JJH or YEH.

I also noticed that people in the background have dark hair and kinda Asian looking. If this was taken in NY, then it must be a place where lots of Asians hang-out then.

btw, i finished watching Coffee Prince yesterday..

and i've notice lots of things.. i guess, YEH will always be in the shadow of GOONG..hehehe...

to mention some:

in the scene where GY proposed to her(at the second floor of the shop), YEH hugged GY at the back.. there's also a scene at GOONG where YEH hugged JJH at the back..

then at latter part of the story, YEH studied at italy financed by GY's grandmother.. at GOONG, she also studied abroad financed by the family of JJH..

fritzie no it isnt a JJH photoshoot, its YEH who participated in "make a wish" I think its a campaign to raise funds to support kids who needs medical attention

JJH and YEH participated in the Angel photoshoot : and its also for a good cause because its for the orphans.

fritzie, JJH is filming a movie right now so maybe his schedule didnt match with the make a wish project Yep, Jinu is a friend of JJH and YEH. He was also the director for the photoshoot of YEH and JJH in separate magazines that was shot in Bali :

JJH and YEH were on the VIP section in the esteem party and I believe cameras are not allowed inside. I wasnt expecting this news to be posted in any forums before so I was surprised when someone mentioned it in Baidu. Since it was discussed already in Baidu so I thought its okay to talk about it now

EDIT:
I remember the only esteem party pic of YEH that was posted was the pic with Kim Dong Wook and I think the pic was taken outside the VIP room

the first post, when i said "different times" meant months. not hours.

when i said "did do it together" i meant, within the same time period as when the photographer shot the other artistes. (a few days)

whether they did it together... ^^" we'll just have to wait and see if any information comes out.
