SYNOPSIS

Taiwanese adaptation of the popular Japanese manga with the same title, Honey and Clover (Hachimitsu to Kurōbā) created by Chika Umino. The series is based on the Japanese shoujo manga. There are 10 volumes of the manga. The manga broke the record of selling 1,000,000 copies in one day.

The 5th year architecture student Zhen Shan (Joe Cheng), who is gentle and soft on the inside holds a torch for Li Hua (Su Hui Lun), a lady boss of an architectural firm. At the same time, he becomes aware that his best friend, Ya Gong (Janine Chang) is also having a single-sided adoration for him…

Until the elegant and smart suitor, Ye Feng (Chen Yu Fan) appears, Ya Gong then realizes that she and Zhen Shan are the same. Both unable to respond to the affection given by other’s while being caught in the first love of their life…

Male, Age 23, 4th year University of the Arts architecture major student, in the process of becoming a member of the society/work force. After graduating from the University of the Arts, he is working in a rather renowned architectural firm. He knows that Ya Gong likes him, but he is unable to reciprocate her love, because he is single-sidely in love with a woman that is older than him… Fang Li Hua. He is so in love that he loses all senses, so in love that he becomes an avid peeper, he often runs to the void deck of where Fang Li Hua stays, just watching her from afar.

Because he is a student that matures early, he is above average in terms of academics and work. With regards to Zhu Ben’s, Lin Tian’s, Xiao Yu’s love relations, he is always an observer. He gives Zhu Ben encouragement, gives Lin Tian advices. She loves to eat. Painting, drawing, and sculpting are all her forte. Especially coming up with an art piece of a large size.

gogetgatchie, the cast list isn't *officially* confirmed yet, though, right? From what I understood from the article about TW "Honey and Clover," the director refused to confirm the circulating cast list, only saying that famous idol actors/actresses were in it. Also, Ethan is supposedly going to be in another idol drama at the same time...?

Anyway, I was really excited to hear about this drama... it should be fun to see the J-version and then watch the TW version. I think it'll also be interesting to see Director Lee's first venture into idol drama/series - who knows, maybe this will be a very different sort of idol drama...

Hachimitsu to Kurōbā ... sugoi manga desho ne. The story is based around art college, kinda like Nodame Kantabire which revolves around music college. Japan is currently airing this live action dorama starring Ikuta Toma. Hope the TW version lives up to it.

So far i reckon all JP live action doramas have been better than the TW versions. Nevertheless, i still enjoy watching both JP and TW live action cos manga stories guarantee good plots and characters.

Ah it would have been good if Joe was casted as Yuta Takemoto, I find that this character is more interesting then the character Joe is currently been casted as. well I guess I'll have to wait to see how good it will be.....I like the cast choices so far. wow... this series is interesting! mainly because of the cast of course XD good that Joe and Eddie are not fighting for the same girl... however, it would be nice if Joe was paired up with Janine (it would be with Tracy if it follows the manga). Why does Janine always not get the guy??

At first I was apprehensive about this, but seeing more pictures etc. is actually making me excited. Does anyone know if they will go by new names? They won't keep the same Japanese names, right? Part of me feels like it will be so weird if the characters don't have the same names, but it might be weirder if they DO have the same names!

^ I think they will "change" the names but at the same time it will be the same. I mean, you have the kanji of the name, in Japan they have a pronunciation for that name but in Taiwan or China they have another pronunciation for that name. It's still the same name but with different pronunciation.
It's just a conclusion I had but I don't know if this is true...


But I felt the same, at first I didn't know how it would be the drama but with the photos and the videos I've seen I think it would be a very good drama with a nice adaptation

heheee, I'm actually looking forward in watching this series since it has two of my FAVORITE actors ever: Joe & Eddie!!! <333 hehe, I think it would be very very INTERESTING seeing the two of them work together since this is the first time! ^^ As for the girls: I have NO IDEA who they are......XD Anyways, I hope that this series's ratings would be good, even though Joe Cheng is in it...but remember what happened last time?? oh welll, I really hope for the best!

@01:34 Joe asked David Chen to hit him and Joe imitate Eddie Peng's reaction!!! Then Joe asked Eddie to show the viewers how he would react

@02:07 the girl asked Joe to be "Shinobu Morita" (Janine's character) while David will be "Takumi Mayama" (Joe's character). The scene will be where "Morita" going to wipe the cream off "Mayama"...

小綜今天即將跟蘇慧倫出發到日本拍「蜂蜜幸運草」的外景戲，事實上，最近幾天，為了趕拍小綜的戲份，幾乎是日班接晚班，前天小綜一直拍到凌晨2點，收工回家之後，己經快3點，等看完劇本，再準備一下拍戲的東西，都己經天亮了！

昨天上午10點40分左右，小綜事先叫好了計程車在仁愛路上等他，然後小綜提著大包小包走出來，可能因為沒睡醒，頂著一頭亂髮的小綜，臉部抽搐，一路恍神，平常是「時尚型男」的他，此時看起來像在夢遊，全身上下只有腳趾是醒著的，而且翹得高高的，連路人看到都認不出是小綜，只有腳趾很搶鏡。

記者前天接獲爆料，指小綜拍完戲之後，是跟「女朋友」一塊回家，小綜昨天聽到之後，忍不住大笑：「『女朋友』是彭于晏啦，他送我回家啊！」小綜一點都不擔心有關「女朋友」的傳聞，反而是聽到記者形容拍到了他的「醜樣」，他當場崩潰，差點哭出來：「我都還沒整理好，你們就拍囉？」

Yesterday the reporter saw him coming out from his house early in morning to go to work. Maybe because he’s not fully awake yet, so that is why he [twitched his mouth and eyes askew] like he was in a dazed, but the [strange thing] was, Xiao Zhong was wearing a pair of flip-flops and it seems that his big toe was actually [wild awake], raising up high and getting [more attention] than Xiao Zhong himself.

Today Xiao Zhong will travel to Japan with Tracy Su to finish filming the outdoor scene for [Honey and Clover]. The day before yesterday, Xiao Zhong needs to work until 2am, after he got back home from work, it was almost 3am, still have to read the script and after doing some preparation for tomorrow’s filming, the sun is already up!
