I feel neutral toward SNSD. I don't like or hate them. I seen them in interviews and television shows with eng subs, they seen to be nice, cute, and pretty.

I want to ask if there is anybody who dislike them because there are many SNSD fans, I just want to know if there are any Anti-fans. please don't yell at me for asking.

I have heard some of the SNSD girls singing in their SM Town collaborations, like Only Love. I must say that Tae Yeon could sing really well. As for the rest, I don't quite remember them. I think if SM let them debut they should be able to have adequate talents to survive. Are they a project group or already a permanent group? They seem to be the second giant group after Super Junior.

My first impression on them was... "What? Another big group?" lol.gif I didn't think much of them because that time I liked CSJH more, so I didn't really pay much attention to them. I only recognise Jessica alone because she was rumoured to have hooked up with a few SM guys. 1.gif No I'm not jealous of her. I was just curious about her because since she could speculatively 'date' so many guys, I'd like to see what is her charm.

I feel assaulted on behalf of SNSD because of the recent collaboration with DBSK. I love the CF so much, so I felt really sad reading some comments saying how some fans turned into anti-fans (anti-SNSD AND DBSK) because they were jealous of the interaction. There were quite a number of hatred posts over at soompi and it's quite saddening to see.

Call me evil, I'd like to see MORE intimate (kissing, hugging) scenes from the Anycall Haptic CF to see how berserk these fans could go. 1.gif

trust me, there are tons of anti fans out there. simply because they work with superjunior and dbsk, having close contacts.
recently we see some bashing up by dbsk fans, because of the recent Haptic CF the film together.
srsly, i dont see any fault in snsd, the whole CF is based on what the producers wants dry.gif

I love SNSD.I think they are very talented, and in a way, I'm a fan of them because they act their age. All these new females in Korea are going for the "sexy" trend and it's rather disgusting. I like SNSD good wholesome image.

My favorite is Tae Yeon, that girl can sing her ass off. "If" is a GREAT SONG.

hmmh.. iam neutral (maybe leaning to i-dont-care-really^^)
first of all.... im not into REALLY big groups..
and im not into lollipops..or all those awkwardly cute stuffs...

but i like the fact that they worked so hard to get where they are right now^^

i know in soompi, soshi fans HATE fany^^ and i find it funny^^ (pun not intended)
how COULD you HATE one person in a group that you love? ^^;

okay, back to the topic.

.. i know, im one of those fans who "disliked" jess from the VERY beginning^^
you could tell, dongbnag fan right here,,
after the anycall CF, i actually kinda like them now^^
they're really adorable!
at first i really liked tiffany..
but after all the rumors (plastic surgery and all those trying-hard-pretend-to-be-moments)
i really dont know...

and now im neutral with jess^^ i ENJOYED her UFO replies^^ (ice princess still though)

taeyeon is extremely talented... and the other ones i really dont know...
im not into their music.. and i think yoona cant sing^^ lol im not BASHING^^
just saying my opinions^^

I'm with you on the neutral opinion, 4evershinwannly1... I think their main appeal is that they look very youthful and fresh and some of their songs are sort of catchy to me. But aside from maybe Tae Yeon (and her amazing singing skills), I feel that they're getting by with their looks and personality. The Korean entertainment industry tend to be more bias towards those that look good, to be honest. I don't know, this is just my opinion - please don't bash me anyone!

I'm not a fan of theirs but I dont see how you say you're a fan of SNSD and then dislike one member. And it's not like just one fan dislikes one of them but it's sounds like it's a group of fans. Lol
Anyway, I think their song Girls Generation was catchy and that they dance pretty well but I just dont like them. I dont see the point of having such a great group and I dont really like their cutey act thing. It's nice and youthful as they are young girls but they'll need to change that later on.

Well, I'm not an anti nor a fan but I can see why lots of people dislike them.

No offense to the fans and all, but I think sometimes they seriously overdo the whole 'cutesy' thing. I really like the song but when i was watching the kissing you mv, i felt like puking with all the lolipops and yeah shocked.gif I think taeyeon is a natural at singing but most of the other girls had up to 7 years of training and they don't even wow me that much weeping.gif they only seem to be getting by with their looks and all.

Im not a fan or anything but I dont hate them.. i just dont like a couple or so.
I hate the way they are promoted though. They basically try to throw themselves at any popular idol group or singer at the moment. I know its scripted for them to do that but it bothers me that it keeps happening. SM is just using that to get them some attention but its not exactly the best way ti do things.
So yea i am dont really hate them (cept like 2) but thier "scandals" are stupid.
The lead singers.. they actually can sing so im not gonna criticize that. Though some of the so called Lead dancers are weak unsure.gif

I am neutral toward them. i have nothing against them, it just that they tried too much or hard to act cute and I don't like the part where they are couple with other group members.

The same here, just dunno why (I know she's the famous one) but I don't hate her sweat.gif

I used to dislike them, thought of another girlband with looks but not talent.
Guess what,I was proven wrong!
Some of the girls can sing (Tae Yeon,Jessica,Tiffany,Seo Hyun,Sunny) can dance (Hyo Yeon and all of them) can hosting/DJ-ing (Sooyoung,Sunny,Taeyeon) and acting (Yuri,Sooyoung,Yoona)

Yea,the girls do have alot anti-fans out there but of course fans too! See how successful their international forum (SOSHIFIED) is <3

i dont really dislike nor hate snsd its just that SOME members seems fake to me.

No, I agree.

It's hard to find genuine idol groups these day though, what with management and putting up personalities and stuff... but I find girls SO MUCH HARDER to tolerate than boys (in idol groups, I mean). Because, and I hate to say this -- but I can because I AM a girl -- girls are known to be a bit (or a lot) more two-faced than boys are.

Not to mention I'm a lot tougher on female vocals than I am on male vocals. I find it much more difficult to find a good female singer than a good male singer.

SNSD is just a large girlgroup and large groups always irritate me, but SNSD even moreso simply because they don't really seem to have any substantial talent and I can't really get past them far enough to like their personalities, because like I said: they have a feeling of fakeness to them.

Haha perhaps because we are girls we tend to see female artists differently from male artists? Well, it applies to me.

I like SNSD now, because after I watched a few videos of them they could be really cute on-screen, and their songs are really catchy and got into my head so easily. Now they're playing inside non-stop. However, there are a few members I am not really fond of. I won't name who, but I find one of them kinda... stuck-up. I think it's probably because she has been trained for a long time and so she got a little used to the environment and the context of being an artist (I think it's quite obvious who I'm talking about). But her confidence seems like arrogance to me.

Some of them are too underrated, but considering it's such a huge group it's difficult to put the spotlight over each and every member. As for talent, I think only a few could really sing. I'm surprised to witness that some of them sing off-key live, you know... unsure.gif

The topic of SNSD acting fake, I think some of them are natural, but I'm pretty sure they're not always 100% what they are on camera. SM knows what he's doing, he packages his artists into celebrities with personalities that fans would love. Basically SM teaches them how to act on camera.

I'm not really an anti-fan, but I'm no where near liking them either. Probably, I'm not into those enormous groups. I mean, they get like one line, sometimes none, in one song. Ehh but that's my opinion. I just dont really like big big groups. Plus, I'm not into girly girl things. Haha, yeah I am so biased towards my own sex. A few of them are naturally cute, and the rest just get on my nerves.
Yeahh, and some of their anti fans hate them because as someone pointed out, they collaborate a lot with DBSK and all. That Haptic Ad was alright. Though the reaction from most fans was just plain scary.

Actually I like SNSD ALOTTTT!! smile.gif

First of all, I really LOVE their songs. I listened to all their songs and surprisingly I enjoyed EVERY SINGLE song in their album which is VERY RARE cause there will always be numerous songs that I ended up not liking in most albums that I listen to. So very very GOOD job for the people who picked these songs for this album! =) Also, ALMOST every single one of them can SING so welll that i'm EXTREMELY jealouusss!! clapping.gif AND I really don't think they are FAKE at all, in fact I think that almost all of them are quite themselves when they are in front of the camera...though it seems like Jessica is def. WAYYYYYYYYYY to shy and I don't think taht she's usually like that. unsure.gif

Anyways, hhee I have been watching SNSD & DBSK's CF like 237247908347029 times these days cause gosh, it's SIMPLY TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO darn CUTEEEEEEEEEEE!! infatuated.gif GOSH, hheee I LOVE LOVE MIKEY & YOOONA the mosttt, gosh I almost wish they were actually togetherrr. but I would like JaeJoong with Yunho instead of Jaefinny, lol 1.gif But yeah, I can understand why so many ANTIS would hate SNSD since they are JEALOUS that all 9 girls get to act besides DBSK. hhhee heck I know that I'm also extremely jealouussss toooooooo laugh.gif i mean who wouldn't?!?!?! lol

And it makes me sad that these days the antis seemed to have switched from hating Jessica to hating Tiffany now!! weeping.gif I don't really understand why they hate Tiffany that much! I actually like her alot! I think that she's reallly outgoing and friendly and I really don't think that she tries to steal all the spotlight. To me it's seems like the OTHERS doesn't really want to be in it so that's why Tiffany has to be the one that does it....and I don't see anything wrong with it. Also, Tiffany is from America so she's probably NOT accustomed to the Korean way of life or traditions so when she actually corrected that singer from Shinwa...??, she didn't know...?? But yeah well I think she def. learned her lesson now! ^^ But yeah Tiffany is still very young and not that mature....and since she's also new to the showbiz, she probably doesn't know that whatever she says WILL be used against her....so yeah Tiffany just needs to keep her mouth shut sometimesss! ^^ but yeah I hope she doesn't change tooo much cause she's one of my favorite SNSD member! =)

I love SNSD
What's not to like about them?
They're such a fun and bubbly group of girls smile.gif
Their songs are also very nice!

My favourite members are TaeYeon, Yuri and Yoona
TaeYeon because she's so adorkable
Yuri for her cute antics and comical ways
Yoona for being a mature person and also very pretty x)

the other girls are mighty fine too
Sunny with her cheerful personality
Tiffany with her cute eye-smile
Baby SeoHyun who can melt anyone's heart
HyoYeon with her powerful dance!
SooYoung and Jessica too, wow
these girls are great! biggrin.gif

but it seems that recently, SNSD have gotten lots of negative news
mostly because of Tiffany sad-smiley-065.gif
Lots of people are angry with SNSD and many insulting things can be heard about them
Like anti-SNSD fan fictions at winglin
or mean articles at shenyuepop
this really upsets me sad-smiley-065.gif
and the Haptic commercial
DBSK fans obviously do not realise it's just an ad, there's nothing else involved
so why are they still bashing SNSD?

Also, people like to say that Jessica's a copycat, that she tries to be who she's not
I seriously doubt that.
Jess does not copy anyone, she IS herself.

At first, I did support SNSD only because they are in SM Entertainment. However, when SNSD began to show their true personalities on screen, that's when I started to dislike them. Tiffany, as much I don't pay any attention to her, began some controversial issues. She started to compare one of the members in Shinhwa, which caused the company of Shinhwa mad. In addition, she started to critisize other Korean's English, and then she started to make fun of BB. I'm sorry, I cannot like a female group who cannot keep their mouths shut. Tiffany is one of the majors reasons why I dislike them so much. The other members in SNSD are not much better. They started to act so arrogant toward their seniors even though they just debuted not too long ago.

I don't think SNSD is that bad...but some of their fans are just too much to handle. Apparently at Dream Concert, they ripped DBSK and SUJU banners...

LovesRainie
Casseiopeia is mad because SNSD fanboys accused DBSK of sexually harassing SNSD during the CFs...which is just completely ridiculous. Cass wouldn't hate SNSD for no reason

To be honest, I dislike SNSD, not to the point of hate of course (I am NOT an anti-fan) but I have no respect for them whatsoever. FIrst of all, I admit that it's not their fault that they get a lot of antis, because SM markets them to be the way they are. The reason they were in the CF with DBSK (and pissed off the entirety of Casseiopia in the process) was arranged by SM, and in that matter, I pity them for setting off the wrath of the scariest fanclub around.

Also, their cutsey-pie image may be appealing to some, but I find that they don't have enough talent. I'm not saying that they have NO talent, some of them can sing, like Taeyeon and (I hate to admit it) Tiffany (though everyone forgets this fact because of the numerous things she does to annoy people). But OVERALL, as a group, they make use of their cutsey image in order to mask the fact that the majority of them seriously lack talent.

And HONESTLY, do you really buy their personalities onscreen? IMO, I find their interactions extremely staged... do you believe people naturaly act like that? I, for one, don't buy it. And lastly, they have not worked hard enough to be respected as artists (don't give me crap about how ''oh, they've trained for so many years!'" because ALL artists when through the same thing) and they've definately used their interactions with other, well-respected artists to gain attention. Once again, this is partly SM's fault for constantly sticking them together with DBSK and Suju.

On top of that, I don't think I need to elaborate on how they fail to respect their seniors, the whole world has seen that, and apologies aside, they should've known better from the start. They have barely established themselves as artists worthy of the most minimal respect but yet they have disrespected artists who have worked hard to establish their name.

Personally I believe they don't deserve the boycott at the Dream Concert, but hate doesn't stem out of nowhere, as a group they've screwed up a lot for a band who's barely been around for a year. Some of the members haven't really done anything wrong, but sadly they are hated because they are associated with the group. SNSD is more or less doomed in terms of their showbiz career. Never have I seen a group hated on so much. but honestly, it won't be a huge loss to the Kpop scene.

She made fun of Tae Yang's real name.

I don't really have an opinion on SNSD. I'm not a fan and I'm not an anti either. I just don't like how they're given so much promotions when CSHJ the Grace gets practically none--but that lies with the old Lee Poo Man. I feel sorry for what happened to them at the Dream Concert and I sympathize with them. I hope they'll be able to move on from it. To be honest, I don't know if they can because I have never seen a group boycotted by all fanclubs before. This boycott isn't going to end with the Dream concert either. Someone needs to address this issue, be it SNSD or their fanclub. It doesn't help that one of the girls just came out in a Suju's mv either.

This thing has been blown way out of proportion and SNSD is really getting the short end of the stick. While their fans are horrible, it is not SNSD who tells the fans how to act, it's Korean fans, insanity is a given. And on the topic of crazy fans, ELF and Cassiopeia should shut the f*ck up, no girl killed themselves of Honey's actions.

Tiffany's actions are unwarranted but wtf, she said the least about Suju and DBSK and THEY'RE the ones going all up in flames about it? Tiffany said something about Jun Jun but Shinhwa's fanclub forgave her. And really, she didn't say anything outrageous, you know, making fun could just be friendly teasing to show camaraderie. Yeesh lighten up people. If everyone in the rest of the world acts like this musicians like Oasis will be killed ten times over, have you heard what the lead singer says?!

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan, in fact I dislike them. They can't really sing and I hate their songs and I think they're total products and I'm a little bit of misogynistic but I don't doubt that they don't work hard, they are part of SM which is known for being a slave driver.

Fandom sucks, whatever happened to just listening to your own sh*t and leave others alone?!

But, my friend showed me that video where Tiffany corrects that dude's English...
And then she sings the line, but she sings it wrong herself.
Who does that?
That is so rude...and the dude was like older than her...so that makes it ruder.

And now that I know she made fun of Tae Yang's name, I hate her even more.
What's wrong with Dong Youngbae?

2ND POST IN THIS THREAD
lol
okay... now im LEANING TO THE i-dont-like-them-really =____=

first of all, the whole DC incident is all because of SOO MAN.
him and his EVIL MIND =___=

second, it's not the girls' fault that they were hated by pretty much EVERYBODY in DC,
it was their FANS.
their fans (IN KOREA!!!!! not HERE!!! okay?!) were really RUDE to cassies and ELFs and tripleS on the net,
they were like "the girls DONT need your support" and stuff like that,
so those THREE HUGE fanclubs decided to show them what ZERO SUPPORT means.

so basically, it was not SNSD the FCs boycotted but THEIR FANS.
it was just pretty sad that the girls were dragged in^^;
besides, HONEYs LEFT DC even BEFORE dbsk started performing...=____=

ugh... all in all.. the fans acted immature that day which led to my impression that there are gazillions of SNSD antis in korea(and around the world) right now.

hmmh... back to topic.
i dont like them, but i dont hate them.
will i buy their CDs? NO.
will i cheer for them in concerts like DC? NO.
will i say hi to them if they happen to walk by? NO.
will i ever be able to finish watching their MVs without me feeling the urge to kill myself? NO.
will i join in if EVERYONE in DC stayed quiet and turned off their glowsticks? YES.

I guess I need to clarify before every Big Bang fans join the anti-snsd fanclub. I don't know if this is true or not. There may be another side to the story, after all, this came from the people who do not like SNSD at all. They may have twisted what Tiffany actually said.

I agree that part of it might have been their fans fault. But I'm pretty sure that people have been angry at SNSD themselves for awhile already. There is a compiled list on the internet about everything that SNSD did wrong in the past few months. Well, everything that Tiffany did wrong lol.

I used to like their songs, but now I don't really like them. The only one I "like" is TaeYeon. So many people think the whole protesting thing that went on during the Dream Concert was rude, but look at Tiffany, gosh. And when I heard their live @ dream concert, TaeYeon was the only one who sounded well. =_=''

They fun of Taeyang's real name, Dong Young Bae and I read from Shenyue that they were saying "what sort of name is that?" and they were finding woreds to rhyme with it, so making fun of it.
They seem really rude, thats one of the main reasons I dont like them very much.

^ I just finished reading all of those.
They did not just make fun of my future husband.
LOL, just kidding.
But seriously.
What's wrong with Dong Youngbae?
The name is fine...
Why would his parents ever name him Dong Youngsang (videos)?
Those girls are so weird...

And they show no respect to their elders in the entertainment circle.
Didn't they make fun of Shinhwa?
I don't know the Korean industry that well (I only like Big Bang, lol), but I know you're not suppose to diss them...aren't they like a legend?

Everyone hates SNSD, and anyone can see why. In a short span of time, the snooty and disrespectful girls have managed to make fun of everyone under the kpop sun. The growing list of victims includes DBSK, Big Bang, Super Junior, Tablo, SS501, The Wondergirls, SES, Shinhwa, and Kim Ji Suk.

While none of the targeted stars were distressed about SNSD’s snipe remarks, the offended, hypersensitive fans of these targeted stars all got ants in their pants and decided to take measures in their own hands, cumulating in chaotic and violent events at the recent Dream Concert. During the SNSD performance, the audience stopped cheering and turned off their glowsticks. This led to SNSD male fans ripping Super Junior posters, beating up other fans, and threatening to physically harm some boy band members.

SNSD has situated themselves in a rather unfavorable position. To avoid any further damages, Father SM should really just tape Tiffany, Tae Yeon, and Jessica’s mouths shut. It’s not like they were contributing much to singing anyway.

yes shinhwa are korean legends.

korean legends or not snsd should at least have respect for other artist specially to their seniors.
i hope these girls would change now coz seriously they are gaining more anti fans than their real fans.

I'm kinda neutral towards SNSD - there are some members that I really love like Tae Yeon and Seo Hyun, who are also pretty good singers, but there are some that I've just never really liked and I find quite annoying. But yeah, some of the rude things they've said was kinda ><" (well... mainly Tiffany?). Some of these bad news have been to do with their fans, and I guess they can't really control that themselves... But they've had quite a lot of bad news for a group that's only been around a year. And I feel bad for some members, since it's not everyone that's been "rude" but since they're a band, everyone is affected really.

I do quite like some of their songs like Into The New World, and some of them are pretty talented. One thing that really bugs me is the comparison Wonder Girls and SNSD get - they are both considerably new girl groups, but their music and genre are really different and it really annoys the hell outta me when people are like "Omg Wonder Girls dress so slutty and cheap, especially in So Hot" when SNSD wear just as less, but they're doing bubblegum pop and dancing with lollipops so people don't say that about them ><"

This is actually very fairly said. I agree with everything you've said here. It's a fair critique.

I'm not an anti either, but I don't like their voices (way too high and squeaky); I don't like their image; and I definitely do not like their personalities. Granted, I think they work hard, but their cutesy personality - even if they change their image for their next album, I think I will still see them as "only cute" - annoys the heck out of me.

I'm more neutral right now...but when a SNSD member open their big mouth and say something distasteful, I'll be like "ARRRG! I hate SNSD!!"....and then after a while just go back to neutral.

hehe. My opinions are well-known and have only intensified since the Dream Concer (08) incident.

I knew there was a reason I disliked them so strongly. And no, it's not because I'm a huge fan of DBSK (cause I thought the Haptic CFs were super cute), but there has definitely been something about SNSD that I never liked from the beginning (and therefore, couldn't bring myself to pay attention to them, at all). It probably had something to do with the overly-large size of the group (really, is 9 members completely necessary?). I was the same with Super Junior when they first debuted (I was disgusted with a 13-member group, and even after I came to like DBSK, I still couldn't bring myself to like SuJu. It wasn't until KRY and I finally watched SJ-Full House that I came around to like them; but they're real and genuine... to an extent. SNSD oozes fake cuteness and cattiness and just... all the icky things that describe popular and conceited high school girls).
Hidden Text:

SM Entertainment: If you are going to create a large entertainment-oriented girlgroup, you've made a bad decision. Fangirls are the ones that have ruled the fandom in the past, and not fanboys (which is what you've set up SNSD to have). Fangirls are the ones that really make or break the groups (notice at the Dream Concert the *small* patch of fans that SNSD got while the rest were silent. I looked on in grim satisfaction). Fanboys hardly have had a place in fandom(s) in the past, and will rarely have a place now because fangirls will do anything for their oppas or even male dongsaengs. SM Entertainment, you could've made SNSD appealing, but I guess you brought them up wrong. Instead of telling them to be humble and bashful and shy and quiet, you encouraged them to be loud, brash, and conceited of their own fame. You paired them together in stragetically placed shows and "scandals" with other groups/people in the company in order to generate negative attention... knowing that fangirls would retaliate. But you also never expected them to be able to gather such huge force and toss it back in your faces, true?

SM Entertainment, you designed SNSD to be a counterpart to Super Junior -- right down to their blunt behavior and outrageous and outgoing actions. And I think that's what's most significant. All along SM Entertainment wanted a large entertainment group of both sexes in order to conquer the entertainment market. After all, with nine (or 13) people, you can't go amiss. You're bound to find someone you like in that group (and even the most devout antis of SNSD will confess that they like one or two members, at least). But what you failed to realize is that while in males, that type of [outgoing and blunt] behavior (a la Heechul and Kangin, etc) is refreshing and endearing (and even expected), in young teenage girls -- remember, SNSD's oldest members is still only 18years old and the rest are all younger than she is -- it speaks of immaturity and cattiness (to not use the even more extreme and worse term here). And even still, you raised Super Junior correctly: at least they know when to toe the line and to not say things that they aren't supposed to. Were you too eager to debut SNSD? Is that why the girls didn't receive the proper coaching in order to know what to say and how to react in public? I find that impossible to believe. No, what I realize is that you debuted a bunch of girls that were, simply put, just too young. Girls let fame go to their head and they get dizzy and high and outrageous because of it. And then they compound and expound upon one another... leading to such disastrous statements and circumstances that almost none of the SNSD members have escaped from (and even if they have, they are still affiliated and affected by proxy). The girls are too young to be schooled in the subtle art of "tactfulness" and don't really know when to stop running their mouths and are careless when it come to speech and etiquette (also, common symptoms of most adolescents, in general), and like all young teenage girls: they certainly don't care about saving face for the other party. In fact, most teenage girls live to humiliate the other party (in order to edify themselves). That's why so many "things" just "slipped" from their mouths at the most inopportune moments. I find it difficult to believe why they were not punished though. One incident, I can understand. Two, even passable. Three, still understandable. But looking at all the "accidents" that SNSD has encountered, I find it hard to believe that they were not scripted or at least reprimanded afterward so it wouldn't happen again. Perhaps it all is a marketing technique. After all, there is no such thing as bad press, right? And even an anti-fan can become a possible fan one day. And look at how much sympathy SNSD has gotten from what happened after the Dream Concert (and among other cincidents as well).

No, I'm not an anti-fan of SNSD. I hardly care that much about a group to become so outrageously anti, but I find little to respect about them. And that's what irks me the most. They have this bizarre sense of self-entitlement that came out of nowhere (right down to their disrespectful speech and improper turn of phrase) and seems completely unfounded. They are diva'ish without having the respectable backings (read: talent) of a true diva.
