Current Miss Hong Kong winners Kate Tsui and Queenie Chu were invited to take part in the "Overseas Students Yan Chai Charity Event" earlier and the Student Association president Wong Yin Shun (relative of Vinci Wong) was on hand to welcome them, but he spent most of the evening chatting with Queenie, leaving Kate to one side. Later, Kate said: "There were other executives beside me at the time, so I did not want to butt in." Queenie insisted that they were talking business and as for whether they would meet up again later, she smiles: "He just gave me his card and he had a female partner there, who I think was his girlfriend."

Angela Tong arrived late for the function with a male partner, who disappeared when he saw the press. Angela laughed: "We didn't think there would be so many reporters here, you have frightened him off. (Is he your new boyfriend?) I don't want to say, he is shy and not from showbiz circles."

Michael Miu, Kate Tsui and Lai Lok Yi headed out to Zhongshan earlier to film a real estate ad for TVB and Kate admitted that she has loved watching Michael's series since she was young, so to be able to work with him makes her very happy indeed. Kate is full of praise for him, saying that he is not only handsome and stylish, but also very friendly, offering to teach her to play golf. Asked if she will go golfing with him again after returning to Hong Kong, Kate says: "I don't think so, I am afraid of getting tanned."

As the ad show storyline tells of getting the wrong idea, Kate was asked if she had been in a similar position in real life and she replies: "No, I was very shy in the past, but I have changed now and if I meet someone I like, then I will take the lead and make a move. (Have you been looking around for a property in the mainland?) No, I already have a property there, so if I have the money I would want to buy somewhere in Hong Kong. Unless I get married, I will want to live with my family to keep me company."

sounds like you didn't watch the competition finals. then obviously you won't get it..
judging is not only based on looks.. she was the standout of the night, was articulate, confident and performed well.

Kate can look all right at times, but i just think she isn't one of the MissHK who will make it big like Charmaine. Idunno... she is talented but too thin. I mean she had like a 23 inch waistline already and she's going under the slimming process thing to make it 22. That's just stupid. If you don't believe me you can watch previous media shows. And personally (do not flame me if u dont agree), i don't think she is very pretty and her voice is er.... yea..... '

Really, when she won Ms HK, I found her looks to be okay, but now watching her host E-Buzz, OMG, she is so ugly!! Yeah, maybe she has not as much makeup as the others, but still, she look horrible!!!

When I was in HK, I always rooted for Kate because not only did she have a clean pretty look that we could build on, she also was smart, talented and spoke many languages. As well she was well skilled in dancing so that would be her talent. I got the impression that she knew how to hold herself in the public and had a lot of confidence.
She could be sexy and cute! How great is taht? I know that she will go far if she continues filming.

I saw her in When Rules turn loose with Sammul and Myolie. She held her stature fine there and was great though I would also think that her skin is not so great there and she was not as slim.

She wil be in another series where she is alongside Shirley, Bosco and Sammul. Shirley plays a mute violinist. That should be reallly intersteing.

if you're wondering, i think right now Kate is working on one or more of Johnnie To's films.. the cast & crew is being very secretive about the project, hence the little news. if any of you are familiar with Johnnie To films, you would know that he tends to use similiar casts, therefore.. i hope this is going to be a bright future for Kate

wow I just saw her in her second series to be aired- Feminine Desperado- she has one cool scene in the series and its really nice to see her try to be the rebellious sister
